      He could be ,purchasing alcohol for minors, is a charge ! Talk about inflation $80 for having drink ! People drink in state parks all the time they were just obvious !

    • @jwenting
      @jwenting ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@chavitacanta008 Problem is the DA will have to show he KNEW that they were underage. That's hard to do, especially with them being like a few months away.
      Not worth risking to lose the entire case against the rest of them, so you just charge them with underage drinking and the entire group with drinking in a no-booze zone (and potentially DUI but as they weren't driving that's going to be a tough one to make stick).

    • @Thunderbyrd.
      @Thunderbyrd. ปีที่แล้ว +9

      DA doesn't have to show he KNEW that they were under age because it's up the boy to know if he is giving alcohol to people who are underage. If you give alcohol to some young ladies it's up to you to make sure they are over 21, period. Game Wardens were very cool with them. They could have charged them with more. They could have charged the 20 year old with DUI because the boy admitted to drinking and then driving. Then he changed his story to he didn't start drinking until they parked, but he had already incriminated himself. But, the Game Wardens treated them with respect because the kids were respectful. And, the Game Wardens only charged them the bare minimum. All in all the kids were a good example to others kids showing how to act with LEO's when they are caught doing wrong.

    • @kelly73
      @kelly73 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      He's worried because he is still on probation and not supposed to be drinking. He may have gotten a probation violation in which case, could be in serious trouble depending on his original charge.

    • @ultragare
      @ultragare ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@kelly73 Yeah I commented before the probation was mentioned. Whoops.
      I was wondering why he still seemed concerned after the cop emphasized that he was only getting a citation.
      I was thinking “Damn bro just shut up and take your ticket!” 😂 And then he mentioned the probation.
      But not all probation terms include alcohol abstinence so maybe he’ll get lucky with that one.

      @@Winterz54321 Looked like both guys might have had military service. When he was talking to the second guy wearing the sunglasses it looked like the warden was holding another CAC (common access card) which serves as both a military ID and allows an authorized individual access to a government computer. Those cards are also issued to DoD contractors as well and serves the same purpose allowing a person on base as well as getting into a computer at whatever job they might be doing for the DoD.
      The first guy he talked to should not have still had his CAC on him since he said he was no longer in the service. That card is normally one of the things taken during the separation process and in the event the individual is retiring from the service a retired ID is issued which is different from the active duty/reserves CAC. He either had someone that was slacking during his separation process and did not take his or he lied and said he did not have it anymore. I have heard of both happening.

      Never understood that. My husband, dad, brother in laws all were in military. This has been a topic of conversation. They actually were allowed to drink on bases under 21 until about 10 years ago. But if you are willing to die for your country and choose a leader by voting, and even buy guns, WTH? We are the only country with such an age. And can’t drink sat home. No, lets send our children at 18 to college, etc. so they scan learn how to drink from other teens. I would rather make alcohol legal so parents can teach their children how to drink responsible. If you take a away the illicitness of it, it wouldn’t be such a big deal. In New Orleans teens can drink at a restaurant with parents.

    I was there a few years back when a man drowned. He had been swimming down trying to see the entrance to the cave system, up, down, up, down, and I remember he came up once and had this explosive inhale and I said he needed to be careful doing that, he said he was. About twenty minutes later the current pushed him back up into the swimmers and someone screamed. I’ll never forget how over a hundred people just froze, followed by a group of people pulling him up the steps to do CPR. They kept at it for so long, it took like 40 minutes for EMS to get down there with a stretcher. They arrived in probably 15 minutes, and I think he may have survived if they would have sent someone down with some equipment instead of sitting in the AC circling the park trying to find better access.
    Be careful with overhead swimming environments. If you find yourself at the end of your air supply, your instincts tell you to go straight up, but you won’t be able to.

      Not when they visually see you pouring alcohol in a restricted area. Lol, keep following your own logic and see where it gets you. If you aren't doing anything wrong, you should not care about answering questions, etc. That criminal mentality of yours will not serve you well in the real world

      @human_bot_ any lawyer worth a dime will tell you to never never never talk to pigs. They're literally using anything you say against you.

    Amazing how chill the cops are when you are polite, follow instructions, and just handle the problem calmly and honestly. They werent making the best or worst choices. I appreciate these young people. Heck, they even apologized and the one guy even asked if he could use the restroom because he didnt want to walk away and get in trouble. They may have made a bad choice here and there but their parents raised them right. Hopefully they learned a lesson and make better choices.

    Side note-This is one of my all time fave spring runs to float down. The Itchituknee is beautiful.
