I came from a privileged home growing up. No nonsense home, in fact zero tolerance home. Our parents told my brother and I if we ever got arrested, just plan to sit there, they would not bail us out, provide lawyers or pay fines. A speeding ticket would not be tolerated.
We did not have our own personal cars. We had to ask to use one of the cars , and gas it up at the end of the night.
Strict. Curfews! We thought they were terrible. But boy were we lucky. Neither one of us has ever had so much as a parking ticket.
Seeing this punk, I’m surprised his parents had any social life at all. I wouldn’t have them in my home, ever!

You are lucky, you had parents who actually knew what to do to raise good human beings even if you resented it at the time. It is far harder for a parent to give kids consequences and follow thru, it takes conscious effort to love your kids enough to make them into an asset to society therefore making their life easier than raising them to let them do what they want like this kid who will be paying the consequences for a lack of parenting his whole life.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Back in 2006 his dad plead guilty to some awesome felonies:
“On November 28, 2006, Petitioner pled guilty in federal court to conspiracy to commit mail theft and bank fraud. On February 9, 2007, the Honorable Alan Gold, U.S. District Judge, sentenced Petitioner to sixty (60) months imprisonment, three years supervised release, and $124,943.96 in restitution. Following imposition of his federal sentence, on August 2, 2007, Petitioner pled nolo contendere in state court to organized fraud and was sentenced to three years in state prison to run "concurrent with any active sentence." Petitioner was given one year of credit toward his state sentence for time he had already served in federal custody prior to the imposition of the state sentence. After serving his state sentence, Petitioner was released from state custody on March 2, 2009 and returned to the U.S. Marshal to begin serving his federal sentence. Petitioner maintains that because the state court ordered his state sentence to be served "concurrent with any active sentence," he is entitled to have the three years he served in state custody credited toward his sixty (60) month federal sentence.”

AMEN!! And my grandson will say that if he gets into trouble and he's 8 years old. I raised my son The proper way and I came from nothing. I lived on the street and I worked my way up. And I owned my own gas station and my son was never privileged. One night he decided he was going to go out joy riding and he took the keys to my vehicle and moved it to get to his vehicle, which he was not allowed to drive yet. I called the police and he saw all of the police cars in the driveway and he didn't run away. He came home, he took his punishment and right in front of the police, I slapped that boy in the face. And they did nothing because I'm the parent he had it coming.
