    I would quite happily watch a retro review of this quality on pretty much any product from the late 70's on. So many great pieces that still look and sound great, and most are still very relevant even with today's streaming setups.

    This thing still looks lovely to this day, nice little tulip on the wall or floor. Keep up the retro reviews and we can go over them in depth when you’re the BeoTalk podcast with us :D
    I would love to see some more about either the beolab 5000’s or the beolab 12-3’s as it’s all peak B&O.

    Very beautiful subwoofer. We used it with the TV set BeoVision 12-65 and with BeoVision 10. It was good addition to a TV set sound.
    Didn't try to connect to BeoVision Horizon. Thanks for the hint John!

    Just recently bought one of these in my setup with Beosystem 3, 8000 front, 7-1 as center and 6000+bl4 as rear... and it makes a roughly 20hz extension to the setup in my small room! But rolls of at 37hz like a cliff! With music and the 8000’s it cleared up the 8000’s a lot and they don’t sound so strung up when playing a bit louder. For movies you really miss the last 15-20hz but the neighbors certainly appreciate that ;) needed to be said is that my room has a bass resonance of 46hz so that helps the little Beolab 11 a lot!

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does a good job for movies in a small room, it only falls short when it's in a large room, tends to get a bit lost.

      I had the Beolab 2 for a few years. It’s a beast, amazing sound. I had it in a TB surround setup, paired with a Bv7 and 4 Beolab 4000. I sold it as I moved and I was not using it, I discovered that the Beolab 7 was powerful enough on the bass range. Now I’ve changed the TV and I want it back. I was considering also the Beolab 11 but after this review I will go back to the Beolab 2. Thanks for the video, very well done.

      Beolab 3 is also very close as it has the acoustic lens, so don’t forget to give that one a try as that sounded the best for my 18’s on my old bv10.

      @@Mikipedia Thanks, I did set it to 8000 than to beolab 3 and now I on beolab 9 . For now I keep it on the 9. I think the 3 and the 9 are the most correct settings. With the beolab 2 in the setup you also have to play with the bas settings. It easily overpowered when you play music. The switches on the speakers positioned on free for the beolab 18 and wall for the beolab 2.

    Hi john,
    I’m in the market for a TV.
    Here are my 2 options I wanted your steer:
    1. Harmony
    2. LG OLED + beosound stage
    When you have a chance, could you give me your thoughts.
    I have 2 BL18s and 1 BL19 ...
    My sense is that TVs can go out of date quickly, so thinking that option (2) is better.
    My concern w option (2) is surround + base management control - not sure if this can be done.
    Any steer is appreciated.
    Cheers

    Advice please.
    I currently have a pair of Beolab 18’s running from Beosond Essence Mk2 and Transmitter 1.
    How can I add a Beolab 11 wirelessly to this set up? It has to be wireless due to the position the Beolab 11 will sit. Do I just need B&O receiver 1?
    I’m only considering the Beolab 11 because my friend has the exact same set up as me in a room of similar size, but with the Beolab 19 too. I found that no matter how much I played around with his set up, I found the bass far too prominent (Possibly due to the size of the room which is about 7m by 4.5m)
    Thanks

    • @BangOlufsenManchester
      @BangOlufsenManchester  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, you wouldn't gain anything by adding BeoLab 11 to to BeoLab 18 as BeoLab 18 already have a similar or better bass depth. I really wouldn't recommend that combination.
      BeoLab 19 would be the way to go, it has controls to fine tune it to your room, it just sounds like your friend's may be set too high with gain and roll off for your taste.
