It would be interesting if you shared a video that shows how you guys worked out designing some of the more obscure dies like the d5 and d7. At a glance, I can see it's technically correct, but are the weights evenly distributed? I feel like it'll be easier to roll certain numbers on certain dies due to its shape.
Well, he said they "spent two years to make sure each die is as fair as possible". So, I guess they made thousands of rolls with them and saw there was no statistically significant deviation from the expected mean.
I know there's a youtube video that talks about this exact problem, how if you have a toblerone shaped five sided die it will almost always land on the rectangular faces, if you then cut it really short it will almost always land on the triangular faces, so one might reason that there must be some length in between where it is equally likely to land on both. And this is kind of true, except the exact length this happens at varies depending on conditions.
@@UngodlyFreak The “as possible” tells me that some of them or likely skewed a bit but they found a design that is minimally deviated from each side having the same statistical probability of coming up.
I remember hearing in a Numberphile video a while back that if you take a spherical projection of the die and the areas projected by each face are equal they'll have roughly the same chance of being rolled
Those dice with different side shapes are not fair because the chance of the sides coming up changes with the throw technique. More symmetrical dice do not have that issue.

i love how 6th dice being a normal dice 💀
Dang. I ordered the winter box because these dice were marketed to be in it, but 4 months late and no dice (literally) and now we are being promised the dice again for the next box ... I've loved curiosity box for a long time, but this seems a bit cheap to me. Market something that a bunch of people will be excited for only to make them get the next box for it instead ...
I think I'll just buy things from the store since it at least will be what it promises to be, hopefully these dice will make it there someday.
D6 is strangely the quirkiest one of the row lol~
