Wow you guys thank you so much for that. You did find my home. Where the lions are was the lot I lived on. You got the right place they just reassign different lot numbers. You also passed the first school I ever went to Mr. Ross it was right in the yard with the church. And the medical center was there before I was born. It looks different but I am glad it's still there🙂. And directly across we use to keep revivals in alboystown...if you remember the song 🎶🎶ALBOYSTOWN FOR JESUS HEAR THE BATTLE CRY...ALBOYSTOWN FOR JESUS WE FIGHT UNTIL WE DIE🎶🎶...those were good memories and good old days. AGAIN THANK YOU AND YOUR WIFE AND CUTIE PIE for going through eventhough it's a lil dangerous..I love what you did.
Went to that school also. I remember the medical centre been a clinic for soon to be mothers and after giving birth for for follow ups after. Behind the clinic was a small school.
Thank you for the tour. I'm from 87 hunter street albouystown, born and grew there, now residing in the USA. It was nice seeing my home town after so many years. That is so true what you said, alot of good people came out of albouystown years ago, not all the people was bad. I do agree it also have alot of thieves and robbers, it's scary for the people at times, especially for the people who is not from there. You still have to be cautious. It still have alot of good and decent people there like you guys. Roads is a terrible state, I guess because it's albouystown the government is not in no rush to repair it.
When did you live at 87 hunter street albouystown just asking because I also lived there between 1971 and 1981 .I grew up there ,that's was my fathers house .
Albouystown has been that way for decades, I am now 70years and have traversed that area to go to Carmel RC School and Charlestown High. That district has been so badly neglected, what a shame. Thanks for video.
A lot of people migrated to the USA and Canada, and become successful but our hearts are still In the place we grew up in and the memories, so much respect for each other.
Miss your videos on Guyana. I visited Guyana with my family and loved your country. I'm not Guyanese, but I found Guyana full of vibrant culture. Food was great and I loved the markets. Kaieteur falls and orinduik falls was so majestic. Beautiful country!

Thank you for your videos . Shame on the government of Guyana for allowing such deterioration of what was once a very beautiful country. That they would allow citizens to live in such run down States is appalling. Those roads are gone. Hardly anything left there to drive on
well the gov is doing this work now ,but it is only january the governmeny started to withdraw the oil money so you need to give them time, and the gov is only in power 2 years now.
Thanks for the vlog. This is one of the areas that can do with rehabilitation. As one viewer rightly says it has always been like that for decades! Wow, how that place has changed, I was born in la penitence street and later moved to cooper st. Back in the day albouystown looked better that. The road was well maintained, houses looked better than they are now. I would have liked fo see 90 la penitence st. and 144 cooper st. . Well done !

I want to visit there but I hear the crime is very high and since I am white I am afraid I would be singled out to be robbed. Are there no light-skinned peoples in Guyana?
I really think it's sadder to see such a deteriorated road system than a place with roads that are just un-improved in the first place. There is no shame at all in a muddy dirt track road where it's all they ever had. Seeing what was obviously at one time a proper city roadway left to become that much of a shambles as we see here is a disgrace to the entire place. Please keep your family safe out there.
