I have this same gaming laptop. I love it i play my xbox games and steam games on it. I was a console only player until i switched to pc. Its the best of everything. I can talk to my friends on steam and talk to my friends on xbox with having a console.( im saving up for a desktop pc as we speak) goodbye consoles hello PC baby.
Thank you!! The laptop somtimes has slow start from sleep on both battery and pluggin. Sometimes, the keyboard keeps flashing when it is in sleepmode and battery. One way to fix it is to close the lid. I will research more on this issue. My guess it has to do with windows power management and asus power management dont get alone. For gaming definately. For movie, screen is nice and color accurate, but buildin speakers are somewhat just ok. You might need headphone or external speaker for the sound.
@Steel4x no problem at all. Your question actually motivate me more lol. A16 and slim 5 14.5, slim 5 16 for power they are the same. For look it is depend on person. A16 is more a stationary laptop than slim 5 14, but feel smaller than slim 5 16. Screen slim 5 14 Oled is better than a16 , but screen a16 better than bestbuy slim 5 16 (has only 60% srgb but if you dont do editing not matter). Sound they are almost the same. If your budget from 800 to 1k go for A16, 1k to 1.1k go for slim 5 16, 1.2k above either slim 5 14 or slim 7. Bestbuy now sale this A16 for 830. I think it is a good deal.
@Steel4x I dont have the 16 with me anymore but slim 14 is feel alot lighter if you carry around Tuf A16 around daily. Oled screen better but I like the size 16 more. If you extern it to monitor, i would pick 14 def. I would like to keep the slim 16 if the screen sRGB is not only 60%. I do editing on it, just want to make sure I got the right color. If you order on Lenovo, there is option to pick better screen on the Slim 16.
It would handle fortnite with ease bro. Even with integrated GPU 680M in the 7735HS would give you 80 to 100 fps on medium setting. 7700s or even 7600s would be fine on either game.
Nice review but i think u have to clarify some things like Do you use a cooling bad ? What is your room temps ? Have you tried using throttle stop to reduce power / undervolting/ disapling turbo ? This could make a huge difference The same thing applies to the 7700s with msi afterburner ( undervolting only)
I dont own a F15 but base on specs. F15 is better, with faster CPU ( I assumed it is the 12700H, even 1 gen older) faster GPU (4070 is better than 7700s, 7700s is 1% better than 4060), more choice on keyboard color. same upgradability. Only less is screen ratio 16x10 and resolution (little higher on screen). Might be battery would be less, but if you're on plug and game focus all the time, it doesn't matter.
Hi, is this better than the a16 with 7600s? I know a bigger number usually means better but ive seen benchmarks where 7600s is better than 7700s so I'm confused.

I had this laptop and if you’re happy at 60fps then it’s ok. Low settings @ 1080p upscaled with Radeon software destiny 2 could not hit 120fps. Even sitting in orbit. It would stay around 105fps. It’s a good laptop for $600-$700 but anything more than that and it’s not a good purchase. Armory crate also sucks.

If you disable the aggressive cpu boosting in the registry the temps go way down. You do lose some performance but if you don’t care to play games under 120fps then it’s fine for the most part. For $700 this laptop is really hard to beat. Best Buy currently has it at that price. The only real trouble I have had out this laptop is playing destiny 2 @120fps, even with the boosting enabled it just could not run that game at 120fps. It was 60-115, which isn’t bad at all.
