    They say when locals in Panjim want to catch up on the goings on around town and also some delicious vegetarian fare, they head to Café Bhonsle, a 102-year-old institution that has been patronized by generations of Goans. Some aver that “such is the connect that ‘Panjimites’ have with this eatery that they may travel the world, but when they return to Goa, their first stop is at Café Bhonsle”, presumably for the comforting food - tamata bhaji, sukhi bhaji, alsanna bhaji with poori, pav, goan samosa, mirchi and much more - and also, conversation. I enjoyed my morning here, not just the food but also an interesting tête-à-tête with its friendly patrons. Café Bhonsle is a definite must-visit when you are in Panjim, and especially to get a flavour of Goan vegetarian cuisine.

    Goa is like a backyard for Belagavi folks🙃✌... Most of the daily supplies to Goa is sourced from Belagavi. And yeah that chilli in bhajji is ruthlessly spicy n hot 🔥😂.. don't get mistaken for its size😂 ... Usually hotness of a chilly is inversely proportional to its size but with this particular chilli of Belagavi the hot n spiciness is *Directly* proportional to its size 🔥😂✌....

    Thanks for showcasing one of the few family restaurants of our beloved city of Panaji on your great culinary map. Goans literally live to eat not other way around and Cafe Bhosle which we have patronised since our school days in 70s hasn't changed its quality or services. Visitors to our capital city must also visit Cafe Real, Cafe Aram, Cafe Tato for typically Goan flavours. Through prodigious diversity food unites India and Indians. Thanks for guiding the foodies like a true gourmet. Goa thanks you.

    Coming from the Ratnagiri to Kasaragod belt, our family has never boxed itself into any linguistic group. Across our extended families we easily speak Marathi, Konkani, Kannada and Tulu.
    Come to any major family functions and you'll hear a sprinkling of many languages spoken.
    We find it funny when people and governments quarrel with each other over language.

    @Kripal sir can't have a better start to your Goa tour especially after watching the teaser I was eager to watch this and truly it was worth of a wait... especially enjoyed the bajji along with Goan samosa and the way you enjoyed the taste of it till the last bit of chutney... waiting for next episode of your Tour hopefully can visualise Goa through your eyes

      I have heard it is a recent addition, have you tasted, curious to know what is served in a Goan veg thali?

    • @akamat100
      @akamat100 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FoodLoversTV It isn’t a recent addition.I am a Goan and have been devouring the thali for more than 15 years.The constituents of that Thali includes rice, tandoor rotis or pooris, 1 dry vegetable, 1 gravy vegetable, raita, chutney with a hint of garlic, coconut curry (with hint of garlic) ~the quintessential Goan delicacy, Papad, pickle,curd, kheer and dal.It is simply Goan in its flavours.Had I met you there , I would have taken you around for food pilgrimage.Have a delightful stay with soul satisfying meals.

    Hot tea with spicy mirchi bhaji is essential because the old saying "fire kills fire" is very true. Hot tea is the only thing that can combat the chilli fire. 😃
