I forgot to mention, this story took place over 11 months - from the moment I noticed that leader's toxic behavior to my exit. Hope my story helps you be more strategic with your exit. Remember, you have more power than you think! If you found this video helpful, don't forget to subscribe!
In this context, probably the latter. But u mentioned how HRs interest is in the company so one should be very cautious when reaching out to HR for help I would think. How does one navigate that?
It depends on the situation. Sorry, I feel like I'm giving a cop out answer. If I was in a situation where there was a clear violation of the company's code of conduct, I would escalate and tell my side of the story to HR. HR is supposed to listen, do due diligence (investigate, gather data, hear all sides of the story) and act accordingly. Depending on the severity of the situation and how things turn out, you may need to get legal help.

Ooooh, do you have advise on how to have conversations with HR? I feel like that could be a whole video!!
Hey Ver, do you mean how to ask HR for help with phrasing your feedback or how to ask HR to step in (escalation)?
