@@SelfLabByFaraz I understand how the ATS can be frustrating for job candidates. And I also empathize with hiring managers and recruiters who are getting bombarded by 100's of resumes. I recently posted a video that can help you bypass the ATS: th-cam.com/video/zAdVbrb5J9I/w-d-xo.html. Wishing you the best!
Having ATS systems for retail jobs, literally only require a pulse and you still need to dance through hoops to get a 10$ an hour job. So much for their so called "blue collar labor shortage"
@@quepena4879 They may be using it to filter out spam applications. Another advantage of using the ATS is that it helps track applications through the entire hiring process. Saying that, I feel companies can do a better job being upfront about what they are looking for.
These are great tips! Yes, it's a bit of a hassle, but it would be a shame to have lots of great experience, and never get to show it because the ATS ditched your resume. Put in the effort!
Thanks, my friend! Agreed that it can be a bit of a hassle, but making your resume ATS friendly is well worth the effort! Hopefully, as ATS' get smarter AI, some of the formatting tips won't matter as much.
Thanks for the insight but the process is bullshit and companies are mandating that everyone becomes an expert resume writer; whihc is likely way outside of most people's skillsets. The ATS developers need to tone things back to allowing cusom resumes and hadnling things like multiple columns and tables (its not rocket science and they could easily do this); and stop being so restrictive regarding the exact terminology spelled out in the job descriptions because half the time or more the job descriptions do not match reality !!!!
I agree with you that ATSs need to become smarter, especially with all the recent developments in AI. Some ATSs have developed more, but other ATSs really need to catch up.
