I laughed, but then I cried, because I realised that's our reality at the moment. You're not even engaging in hyperbole, this is literally what's happening.
You don't expect a parody to do anything except make you laugh. But my reaction was identical. I was really close to tears, and despondency. There was a very accurate representation of a current ENGLISH journalist, who is so close to the employees of the Nazi Propaganda Service under Goebbels. I used to lecture at Television Centre, (the concrete doughnut), and Broadcasting House, back in the 1980s, and they always seemed reasonable people, even the top management. I don't do work there any more, but the public image, of the management, doesn't seem to resemble the past of dedicated, honest, responsible HUMANS.
Was this humor or reality... was this the BBC? the line was blurred... like blurred when you put your head in a bucket of tar. Madness. Great work guys.
1. Man, if that didn't cut to the bone of what happened to the BBC... once so trusted, now a propaganda tool for Tories. 2. Hey, you guys production quality really went up lately, didn't it? Multiple camera angles, some nice shots and fantastic acting! Great work!
Hugh Grant buys a cream slice in a Somerset bakery vs sitting Prime Minister admits recently having 4 year affair with mistress in marital home and gives her over £100,000 tax payer’s money and gets her to accompany him on tax payer funded overseas jaunts. Which one is in the public interest? Mmmm. Hugh Grant story of course as Johnson said he operated with complete integrity and he is a man of honour. Just ask his wives.
The BBC has always been like this. At least in my 56 years. The rest are the same too, including controlled opposition but that`s no help if you want a laugh, is it!
I'm never reading the news again, I'll just come here every week to find out.
Perfect.
Sad but true state of our media
yeah, the government has the BBC by the balls (which turn out to be quite small)
Sad but true state of the BBC!
I cannot stop watching this. Comedy, satirical gold.
Why thank you. Please share to everyone in your entire contacts book.

May have ranted about this to students today, they'd heard nothing about it but were up in arms at the idea!
Keep fighting the good fight! And tell them about this sketch - we need more YOUTH FOLLOWERS. Cheers x

Two years later and still relevant.

A sadly accurate portrayal of mainstream British journalism of the last decade, in my humble opinion.
Sadly not just the British media...
Athangyaw x
Yes I laughed.
Excellent
What's this about Hugh Grant? Why is this being buried?!
It's on a need-to-know basis.
Algorithm boosting comment.
Textbook
Sadly this is just a very well edited transcript of reality :)
Why thanks, TGS. Feel free to share the shit out of it and subscribe x
😂😂😂😂😂😂 That's exactly how it went- how did they know? The BBC hold the govt to account? That'll be the day.
It's a documentary!
Sadly accurate... 💯🤣
It’s funny as both sides of the political spectrum see the BBC completely differently haha
Funny ,sad and funny... and sad
Thank. You. Thank. You.
