  • Let Car Builders explain why car manufacturers have moved on from using electrical tape to wrap wiring within cars. What tape is easy to use, reduces sound rattles and looks high end?
You can find the tapes in this video here:

You couldn't imagine how passionate I am about this stuff. I use the exact same type of tapes for the same purposes. I usually order the TESA tapes, but I'm willing to give yours a shot. I like the ability to easily tear the fleece tape.
From one wrapper to another -- Great content!

I was told that the biggest difference is hockey tape is flammable and electrical tape isn't.

Don't you worry about a cloth tape like that collecting moisture?

Hi Tim. We recommend the fleece tape for internal applications and the Underbody Tape (which isn't fleece) for engine bay and exterior applications. 👍

Where did you get the aluminum metal heat shielding from? the one in the engine bay at 1:30 time.

      Which ship internationally from www.carbuilders.com.au/engine-bay/
Another US option www.amazon.com/dp/B07P6KXCB8 We are just about to add the other heat shields on this platform 😎👍

Car Builders - Thermal & Acoustic insulation materials - is this a heat shielding wrap for wires? I have a coil on plug kit that needs the wires wrapped and I want to do this professionally, what do I need and how do I go about it?

Is it a good idea to tap over split tubing?

Hi Jay, probably not necessary unless you are experiencing rattling. 👍

Can I also wrap connectors (like H4, H8, H11) with this tape??

What is the actual name of this tape? Is it actually called fleece tape? I hate this new style of making titles where you don't actually put the name of the thing in the title.
Does it come in other colors? I'm looking for something to change the color of all my computer and phone cables, and so far, all the cable wraps I have found for sale are too short and too expensive. Why would anyone make a black spiral cable wrap? Wrapping a black cable with a black spiral wrap makes no sense.

Hi Anthony. Thank you for the feedback. I have edited the links now in the description. Sorry, we only have this tape in black. We have found the market tries to hide these bundled wires/looms rather than making them a feature.

Can that handle the heat in the engine bay? I've been looking for a tape to reduce knock for a very sensitive knock sensor.

You can’t understand an Aussie accent? The only time I have issues is when they say shit like Maccas, servo, tinny, etc. that’s Aussie code for McDonalds, a Gas Station, and a can of beer respectively.
