Chasing a better BER has about driven me nuts. Tip: Open the dashboard in one browser tab, then open the MMDVM Host settings in another tab, then just switch between browser tabs while doing this procedure -- saves you about eleventeen-gazillion mouse clicks.

First video out of a dozen that said what range of BER becomes optimum.

For some reason, the TX offset was not doing anything for my bit rate error, no matter what I did. Once I started toying with the RX offset it adjusted pretty quick. Not sure why but I got it done in 1.5% or below. in the green. Do you think toying with RX will get the 1.5% down?

It may be different for different radios/hotspots, you can try but 1.5% is really good.

Do you have to adjust both TX and RX offset to get the bit rate lower? I did it just by doing RX offset but I’m kind of stuck at 1.5 or so . I left TX offset at zero. Should I just that number?

You should do both tx and rx, it actually shows the tx ber when you transmit but doing the rx will clean up receive.
