IS FT8 DESTROYING HAM RADIO / IS FT8 BAD FOR AMATEUR RADIO

Is ft8 destroying ham radio, this depends on the person and what they like. Or the person that does not do it and hate the emptier bands.
FT8 is a low power mode that works for people that are antenna or power restricted. It works for people that do not like to talk or can not do CW. Unfortunately, this empties the bands for those that do.
Knowing if FT8 is bad for amateur radio is relevant to how ham radio is changing. The incoming generation may like or favor digital modes.
I like the social aspect of phone and the camaraderie of a contest. Or the personal feeling of handling the paddles to get my message out while copying the incoming message. To these, FT8 feels cold and distant.
This video is not about judging or hating FT8, it is just about awareness of changing times.
