- Felixstowe was once one of the great victorian seaside resorts. People would flock to its beaches from all parts of England. As well as donkey rides and 'punch and judy' shows, they would enjoy a shopping experience in Hamilton Road and stroll in its parks.
Although today its popularity has waned, it still is worth a visit if you are in the area.
The above photos compare victorian/edwardian Felixstowe with the Felixstowe of today.
Wow i can't believe how much Felixstowe had changed! This is really good :D
wow....wish i was there in those days...far more trees!!!
Great video, like the way you merge the old and new views together, also like the music.
I lived in Felixstowe in the 1960’s and loved it.
I like the old photos/times, no bloody cars everywhere you go spoiling things
Brilliant and a great effort. Well done.

Hello Chris
I'm preparing a You Tube playlist as a background video/audio stream for River of Life Church Community Cafe, Felixstowe.
www.RiverOfLifeChurch.net
Just wondering if you would kindly grant permission for us to use your Felixstowe Through the Ages in the programme?
Many thanks, Brian
Brian Oakley yes that’s fine, no problem.
Thanks so much Chris, very much appreciated. Please claim a free coffee on me next time you happen to be passing River of Life Church. It may be a while before the playlist is complete but it's good to know that "Felixstowe Through the Ages" will be included
