I LOVE THIS SONG! can't believe this was almost 10 years ago. and jojo's music keeps getting better and better as she continues growing in her artistry. i can't think of very many current artists whose work stands the test of time the way hers does.

Jojo is such an amazing artist. Why should she have setbacks because of some non loyal record label. That label will rue the day they ever screwed her over. She's worked so hard on her music, this is the realist song of hers in my opinion that is so raw and relatable. Truthful lyrics. %1000 better than the crap they play on the radio. Beautifully done👏
True! She is genuine and her vocals can bring you into the music and feel the story to it all, lyrically. On another note now that she is FREE from Blackground she is now a signed artist to Atlantic Records!!!!!! and can get back to recording her album. So proud of her and happy as well.

Jessica Brown I think maybe. But I think it could also be about being in love with/still holding on to someone you cant be with or shouldnt be with (for example the guy doesnt feel as strongly about her or they have different futures).
All the talk of her seeing him and it all coming back. It makes me think of a couple that has technically broken up but keeps ending up seeing each other and she is still somewhat committed so it hurts her even though she's "grown".
Just an idea though I don't actually know.

And it's about how your heart hasn't really mended from the way that things ended. You realize that it hurts even more, even though you guys don't have a title; it hurts even more being with that person knowing that they don't feel the way that you do."
Idk not sure who was filming it but she had like behind the sceen shots on her instagram. She said it would release this month (she said that in may at the time) unless shes going to release it as a summer vid.

I don't know if she did any work on his mixtape but she does know these guys and I'm guessing they collab on different music tracks but not sure, though yes, shes friends with these guys. Also I dont think shes a backpackkid. :) So far all I know. Hope this helps.
