I can understand that you remove the old tank with the tilt bucket. What I don't understand is that so often lifting work is done with the bucket attached to the excavator. it takes away so much view. for the operator. and therefore produces so many unsafe situations
Gm troops of ken white construction. I just retired as a heavy equipment operator in oils sands.I served 20 years in Canadian army then I operated her. I enjoy your videos and your perfection in your company is great and to watch young men operating brings joy to this old man.keep up the good work. The only easy day is yesterday.
Backfill it! Great video my friend! Great explanation of all the steps too you and Cory and the rest of the team did a great job! Keep me coming brother!👊🏻
He’s an ok operator. The guy putting tank in and braking old tank. He’s carful so I give him an OK Safe is always good. People talking about the wrong bucket and shit clearly don’t know anything about construction. Usually you use what you got not going to swap buckets for a 5 min job hahaha.
Quick question and you might want to look into it is when filling in the old tank shouldn’t you break the bottom of it to let it drain? That way it won’t fill with water and become a pail of mush. It will also not freeze in the winter and become a big popsicle. Kind of like we are not allowed to fill in an old pool. You must break it apart first.
Funny you said. So clean you could drink it. Lol whenever I do a system I say the same thing! I would never try it though. Sweet content man. Huge fan of the channel and your company
We do quit a few septic systems ourself. We use infiltrator tanks too. I like the tanks but not sold on the risers. Wish they would have stayed with the screw down type. We have had lots of trouble in the colder weather with the risers not snapping together correctly. And in some cases the snaps break off. Curious if you have had the same trouble. We have to be licensed to do installs. And keep up with continued education hours each year. Do you have to do the same thing? Great vid. Thanks. Back fill it
Yup I think Cory has the same issues with the risers, yes we have multiple informational events that are mandatory attendance that we attend as well as yes we have to have a licensed installer. I know there’s lots of “fly by night” lads out there 😂
@@KenWhiteConstruction sorry for the late reply Taylor been working away on 40ton volvo 😊 95% of of houses in wales go straight in to mains sewers and some houses have a waste tank that has to be empty once a month
No you don’t but it is preferred. One reason is if you have an issue with the bed you can find and open the D-box to investigate. It also acts as leveler to distribute the effluent equal to all the runs. The other option is a header but if not backfilled properly then you run the risk of overloading one side of the bed resulting in failure.
I just had a system installed and i argued with the installer that we needed a Tee at the end of the discharge. He said no no. Then he called me later and said we will put your T on when i come back out (needs to dig deeper for drain). I said why didn't you tell me to put it on when i had lid off. he said inspector. We had to get him out of there first.
Clearly these guys have never heard of a "ledge tank" which is shallower than a regular Septic Tank, but is usually longer and sometimes even a little wider to allow for the same capacity or liquid volume. Typically, about the same price as a regular tank, so it doesn't really cost anymore money. You can even get a Pumping Station that's designed for ledge or bed rock, which are also not as deep, but still allow for the same or similar liquid volume as a normal Pumping Station. Regarding the Plastic Risers, and the Plastic Septic Tank, I'm not a fan... I personally prefer the old style Concrete Septic Tanks and Concrete Risers, because they can last a very long time, and virtually impossible to damage. Plus, in terms of safety, concrete covers are very heavy and hard to remove, which keeps children from being able to easily open the Septic Tank and/or the Pump Station. In my opinion, safety should be the primary concern when you have kids... especially little boys.
The fact that you left 5 comments of negativity, blows my mind! I appreciate the support and thanks for helping my video with engagement. Try to be a little more positive man! Just a thought
