Steve Marriott was one of our best vocalists, guitarists and performers. Incredible talent. Ronnie Lane and Steve Marriott both died before their time sadly. Great band and so important in British music history.
Yes he was. He was a heck of a guitar player.
DANKE !!!!
I just discovered the Small Faces. Wow!!
A The Beatles fan, but now these guys are an instant favorite.
A long time ago, and what now seems like ancient history, these guys where am my favorite rock and roll band. Small Faces were so far ahead of their time and they should have been the most popular and most remembered band of the 60s.
Underrated. I found them randomly while in high school in the mid 2000’s, fell in love with their music instantly. They deserve the same recognition as The Rolling Stones or The Who.
They already had that in the sixties
Er
I totally agree with you!!!!!
Well Kenny Jones, the drummer, went onto play with The Who.
Нет! Выше перечисленных! Просто не все могут удачно продать свой талант...К сожалению! 🔥✊👍
The hard rock edge that Small Faces had was downright vicious. So much fun to listen to. Love the sincerity in Ronnie Lane’s voice.
Small faces should have been bigger than the stones
Easily and in my opionion they sing better than the beatles. Mariot is the best.
IMHO bigger than ANYONE. Ronnie and Steve’s voices blended so well
Truly, underrated.
Absolument génial, but....le talent n'a pas d'âge...I'm sorry...🙂
@Bubbs pelch they were great, no question. But the Beatles were the pinnacle
One of the greatest bands ever. They lasted just a small time approx 3 yrs before Steve Mariott left to form humble pie. Ronnie Lane wrote some great songs which a majority have never heard. I am addicted to them and they rate amongst the greatest bands ever. GOD BLESS both Steve and Ronnie who both died so young but their music will never die.
Ronnie was a good song writer and a underrated bass player and musician and can anybody dance as good as Steve Marriott with a guitar around your neck
So true Frank! Fantastic band - stellar tunes and so darn good. 😀❤️ Ron was so talented and Steve Mariott was the ultimate front man.
Oh for a time machine. 😀🎵🎶
Excellent track on a magnificent album.
proper tune, top notch quality, Steve is always amazing, fab vox from Ronnie, massive respect and many thanks
My new favorite song. So great. Great vid and sound quality.
Gosh. This is still such a great song and film clip❤
As others have commented one of best rock groups ever should have more recognition in rock history they have left us great legacy of music
Thank you so much. Your fantastic music was and is all the long times with me. with love from Germany
Great track ! Always enjoy the Ronnie Lane lead vocals !
This is what a awesome rock group sounds and looks like people.
My favorite band from that era
Plonk Lane what a wonderful voice !!"
Last time I saw steve Marriott was in the George robey pub in finsbury park. Best voice in rock. RIP
Is doesn’t come any better, yet hundreds of groups have tried, but you can not beat the Small Faces ❤
Loved this Band they were lightening in a bottle
Another great small faces song
They opened the door for "hard rock" ! Teenager again , every time I hear SF !
Makes me smile every time i watch.
So underrated this group
🎵They are awesome 👏🏼🎶
On Ogden's Nut Gone Flake, Kenny Jones laid down one of the most iconic drum sounds of the 60's. Not just the unrestrained fury, but the sheer pulverizing smack of the sticks on the drum heads is as close to live as you'll hear on any studio recording of that era.
Ronnie Lane is in my ears and in my eyes.... 😅
ロニー・レーン、最高です!
この曲でスモールフェイセズの虜になってしまいました!!!
This always sounded magical. Whether in 1968 or 2001.
When Keith Moon died the first guy Daltry turned ro to replace him was Kenny Jones, f'n awesome
Die waren die aller Besten !!!!! Danke für immer " !!!!
Stupendous band and, for me, their finest track. Hearing 'Ogden's' aged 13 set me up for musical taste for life.
Danke. Für. Diesen. Song
There's wheat in the field
And water in the stream
And salt in the mine
And an aching in me
I can no longer stand and wonder
''cause I'm driven by this hunger
So I'll jug some water
Bake some flour
Store some salt and wait the hour
While I'm thinking of love
Love is thinking for me
And the baker will come
And the baker I'll be
I am depending on my labour
The texture and the flavour
Oh Ronnie........how sad I still am.........................
For me the best Band in this time. I like more as Who or the Stones. Marriot was a Genie with great voice.
The original guitar riff 💖💖🙏🙏MODS
Superb.
They really are a great band
I'm 56 years old but this kind of music is what I like
I'm nearly 64, grew up with this stuff, brilliant.
Why arent you cranking up the DuranDuran or Kagagoogoo?
@@joejones9520 I found a lot of the 80's music a bore
The Small Fakers tribute band are smashing the Small Faces tunes perfectly! Get on them, go see them, same instruments etc, you'll fucking love every single split second of it! I keep going back for more and I've met/heard the great man himself, Steve Marriott! Get all over it FFS!
I've got the vinyl and cd. Love this album. Long live the Faces. Steve Marriot was the best.
God what an epic band. That was seriously one of the heaviest sounding tunes to come out of the 60’s….
Lyrics remind me of italian folk song cella luna...the part about the baker giving a woman his loaf. Same thing here.
I'm so sorry. So sorry for those of you who never saw/heard Marriott live. Thank God I did! THE very best soul voice that UK ever had! Disagree? Name someone better?
Eric Burdon
Great track. Quite Hendrixesque
good song'! small faces', the who', mc5 ', way before', the nirvanas', smashing pumpkins', black keys', the roots of punk' rock thrashing', peace😃
El carisma de Steve Marriot aca, es a mi entender Top 3 en la historia del rock! 🎸❤🔥🙌🙌🙌🙌
Steve Fuckin’ Marriott. Hectapped directly into some holy energy and gave it all to us.
Damn Steve is into it
I know their work
but never had known
their name
damn, i remember I liked them, but I didnt appreciate their music neeaarly enough. So fucking good
The quality here is far superior than that of the full version in the link. Is there a full version of this one from the beginning as it is here? Lovely stuff. I can upscale it for you. It’ll look excellent.
The original real mod band
Better than The Kinks.
💥💥💥 brilliant 💥💥🇬🇧💪🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💥💥💥💪💥
In England they were it! They put all the bands that were famous in the usa to shame!
the 1960s mod gods !!!!
If you know and love popular music groups of the mid to late 60s the small face's nailed it with their english soul and blue's.
Truthfully were better than Humble Pie. Steve should have kept this talent around himself and he may not have had to go so heavy and burn out.
Anyone know the kind of bass Ronnie is playing here?
Ronnie is playing a framus bass I think , look it up
Harmony H22 Bass I think.
My guess was a Kay but there is no logo ..
just saw a picture of a harmony H 22, it fits
Steve marriot is a genius 👏
Fuck man great didnt get much greater than this back in my teen times . Met them at my work in Melbourne a century ago and have played and sung this stuff for near 60 years . Taylor Swift ? If your not fuckin ancient or have a music history you will never know . Cheers Fucko's from the Ancient Metal Guy .
The baker is Albert Hofmann from SANDOZ ! The best baker
How did they play guitar without foot pedals in front of them? Is it fake? No one can play guitar without pedals. I've seen ALL the guitar players on TV and they ALL have guitar pedals. And while I'm at it, how could they sing without auto-tune? I saw the Steve Marriott Allstars in 1975 and how can he sing like that? How can he play guitar without pedals and auto-tune. I'm lost.
Fine guitarist and showman Steve Marriott; and then there are his vocals...
In addition to my last comment, Steve's Fender guitar looks bitchin!!
Kenny Jones could make a bowl of pudding sound snappy.
Better than some recent shit, mm what you think hahaha
they look like elves, they could be in THE HOBBIT AND LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIES
Это очень и очень круто!!!
♡'s mi sum bakers🐸🍿💥👊WWG1WGAWW
🔘✌👍👌
Sixties, what, who these anti social reprabates, what future their music and social knowing.
結局 Steveはメジャーヴォーカリストにはなれなかった。。
even with all the cords and intensity it's still just a lipsync performance, too bad.
It's live mate .
@@philforder1702 no, it's not, it looks a lot like it is tho.
It's tragic really, such a shame, you so want it to be live, but I've never had a fade out at a concert!
Never
