Dermot Kennedy surely is one of the best musicians this generation has got to offer. Not only is his voice tremendously beautiful but also his songwriting incredibly good. Yet the final production always follows contemporary Zeitgeist the lyrics and melodies always feel timeless. Everything feels sincere. Feels real. Nostalgic yet hopeful. Poetic yet reliable. Cozy yet exciting. There's nobody like him. And as I saw him 3 times by now I can assure everyone that his concerts are a perfect mix of intimacy in his performance and a genuine feeling of togetherness. His music helped me a lot and I think you can find yourself and get lost in it simultaneously.

Dude. I’ve loved Dermot for like 2 years and now that he finally put together a true studio album it’s everything I could’ve wanted. Old classics like an evening I will not forget and then all the new songs. Dermot you are a truly refreshing soul among music creators.

I am 50 years old, lived through the music of 80s and 90s and beyond, have listened to songwriters of all genres...... this guy is unimitable and uncomparable...... i really really can not think of anyone who can touch the heart like his words do and with a voice like that he is awesome.... been his fan since he was a cover youtube star and now he is a STAR himself. Kudos to you mate....

Strangely, I just heard this song on an Instagram post about making spring rolls. There was no credit given to the music but I was immediately transfixed by his voice, the melody, the lyrics. Shazam came up with it and here I am. Down the worm hole I go. What a gift.

I never heard Dermot's music until tonight. It was painfully beautiful. The young dancers on SO YOU THINK YOU CSN DANCE knocked it out of the ballpark! Yep, the words, the voice, the music and the interpretation by the dancers made me weep. Just amazing. I immediately searched for the song online and the artist, and listened to it again. I love how the video setting reminds me of Rome ruins with the arches. Very talented. I'm a fan for life! Thank you. ❤

I stumbled across this song in a friends IG story and my whole word changed. I now have another special artist to add to my very special artist list.
Also, music is the one & only language that defies all odds and breaks all barriers.
This man is a genius.
I fell in love with music, his voice, his simplicity, not trying so hard with extreme production or anything, yet remaining powerful through his perfect storytelling in his songwriting and how anyone can relate to the songs in a way and moves to the core! I saw few of his interview, he is just a normal dude, low-key and humble, almost shy certain times as if he is out of his world and just wanting to make music that speaks to him and fame doesn't matter at all! I'm from Morocco and i will save every month until i could afford travelling to one of his upcoming shows! I truly hope to get the chance to witness your talent and feel the emotions your songs make me feel live!

As a newer fan, someone recommended I listen to "Rome", as it was one of their favorites. I listened to every version posted on TH-cam. I loved the song right away, but wanted to find the cleanest, purest, version to give my full attention to. I shared the "Bloodwork Studio" version before finding this one. The depth of emotion openly displayed in both versions are palpable. "Rome" takes me back to a time, to a person, to a love, that was incredibly broken. A time my heart never fully recovered from. A person and love, time never forgot. 30+ years later and something as pure as this song carries me right back to that time that is eternally etched across my heart and in my mind. A beautiful time that broke me forever, a time I will never regret. Thank You Dermot
