I love mine, great peace of mind. I have also used 3x lithium ion 18650 batteries in a "Lock n lock" box. This works well for 5-6 hrs on a FF/plotter (Raymarine DF5 Pro), but the FPV lasts much longer. The FPV doesn't fit in my battery box on the Stealth, whereas the 18650 batteries do. I place the FPV under my seat, which works fine.

I upgraded from a 12AH SLA to the 7AH FPV and the thing is 7x lighter and half the size. And due to the difference in chemistry, you get the same effective battery capacity.
