@@justplanes Thank you, it was a pleasure ☺ Your videos are superb.
I have also done the same for your other recent videos on Los Angeles, Palma, San Francisco, London Heathrow, Atlanta and Osaka Itami, however I think they may have got caught in the TH-cam spam filter - would you mind having a look if they've been held for review please? I think the TH-cam algorithm isn't best pleased by all the registrations and years 😅
      Many thanks!

Awesome job :) one thing I noticed is that’s an SAA 747-400 at 57:16 not a 747-300. It flew JNB-CPT-MIA (about 14 hour segment between CPT and MIA)

So much jet diversity back then. All the pretty DC aircraft and liveries.
You could make multiple videos on defunct airlines just by just referencing this video

I love these old film reels of MIA action, thank you for a great upload! I guess the only survivors from this footage are a few B757s, B767s and A300s, now flying as converted freighters. How times change, eh?

Love the livery on the Delta 727 @6:37. It's a much more professional, and classy, look than what's on their jets now (imo). And Delta was the airline I got to enjoy my only 727 flight in 1987. 😎 ✈️

You mean DC9s. They operated to meet the Iberia flight from Madrid to MIA as they had a licence to operate from there to Hispanic Central and South America with transfer pax. Air France did the same with A319s. They flew to French governed Islands in the Caribbean from MIA.

AA 757 with the classic livery and no winglets is awesome. AA's livery is terrible now and winglets scar many planes.

Iberia used to fly 747s, DC10s into MIA and offer connections on their DC9s

You do wonder what might have been among the cargo, but *not* included in the manifests, of some of those cargo aircraft from Central and South America... 😒🤫

What were the Iberia DC-9's doing in Miami? Couldn't have been flying to Spain. Didn't think foreign airlines were allowed to fly domestic routes in the U.S.

Nope, it's very clearly 1993 because nearly all these planes stopped flying wayy before 2009
