- This safari camps truly brings the word exclusivity to another level. Soroi Larsens Camp located inside the Samburu National Reserve is divided in two sections. One side is the safari camp with nice canvas tents, a pool, a beautiful outdoor dining room by the river and more. But the other side, where we had the opportunity to stay for two night, is truly it's own world.
We spent the weekend in one of their two luxury safari villas. On top of being large, cozy and beautiful, they both have their own plunge pool, a nice view of the river on one side and mountain on the other AND... An elevated star bed to sleep in comfort under the stars.
The villa side is also more than just the accommodations. It has its own reception and pick-up / drop-off point for game drives. It has a nice fireplace and it is also possible to have your meal in or outside of your own private villa. This felt truly exclusive!
And just in case you thought that this was all well, it is not. The villas even have a shared underground photo hide for the true wildlife photographers!

Samburu county is such a surreal place to visit! Oh my God! I travelled all the way from Wellington, New Zealand with my family and trust me, out of all places I have visited, Samburu county is just number 1. Heaven on Earth!

Is that the same Cheetah family that were in your video from four months ago at the "Elephant bedroom camp"? I remember that video as I had been in Samburu only a couple of days before you posted it, and was well jealous as we didn't see Cheetahs there. Finally got to see a couple in the Mara a couple of days later.
