Just got into retro gaming this month! Was able to buy a black RG35XX H for $40 and an SP, in silver of course, for $60 shipped. Fantastic little devices to complement my Switch Lite and field work!
I just ordered the blue one, its on the way. It will be my first retro emulator. I think if they added the analog sticks it would take away from its retro look and feel. But what they could have is this version and a new super duper version with a better chip, better resolution and two analog stocks. Both will sell like hotcakes. I would buy both.
I’m actually really happy they didn’t include a control stick. It would have to be a flat style DS stick, it wouldn’t have fit, and there are plenty of other Anbernic devices with control sticks. So much better to keep this one the near original form factor.
This is awesome! I stumbled upon retro hand helds a few months ago and I got sp clone two days ago and it’s it’s awesome. Lots great pick up and go games . I love it ! My Nintendo Switch is getting jealous
I was a little bit skeptical about the SP at first with all the reviews bashing on the clicky buttons but I gotta say that I love them. They are definitely clicky but in a good way and the whole experience with this device feels fantastic.
i would love to know how good it is for multiplayer setup on big screen, hdmi out, preferably 2 or more bluetooth controllers conected, while being charged, playing some mario party/kart
I’ve been really considering getting one of these. The rg35xx is on sale for $40, but the SP version is still $70. Do you think it’s worth the $30 difference?
It’s a nicer device mainly because it’s a clamshell. It has a smaller footprint than the OG rg35xx when it needs to be portable, and a bigger footprint when you’re playing
You should compare this with the 'rg55xx Plus' / 'Rx55xx H' then the difference is 20 dollar. Wifi and bluetooth are great for increasing your gaming options
The RG35XX on sale I think is the one without bluetooth and WiFi, and smaller battery. If that's the case the SP is a better option. I have an RG28xx, an RG35XXH and I'm thinking of getting this one for multiple scenarios and just swapping the SD between devices.
This is a gorgeous piece of hardware, and for the price, that's insane.

Just got mine and I love it, especially after installing muOS!
Nice! Gonna have to try it.
Been loving my sp. Has almost completely replaced my RGB30
Same!
Yeah, I loved my RGB30 until this came out. I feel bad seeing my RGB30 sitting on my shelf 😞

This is the companion system to my Steam Deck, if a game needs a analogue stick I'll use my Deck.

Do you happen to own a store where you sell these devices after a review? I was interested in this device. Also amazing channel and reviews!
Thanks brother I appreciate it. Unfortunately no store, I just collect em. You can find this little guy on Amazon though.
I'll wait for one with an analog stick.
Im doing my first run of Megaman X on this device, i love it so much
Awesome! A perfect device to do it on.

Are you able to load Roms onto it? And do I got to do anything special or does it do that all on its own
Just ordered mine
Nice! You’re gonna love it.
@@GameHeadNes thanks! Hope so!
