I own quite a few flashlights from different companies and have to say when it comes to build, finish and overall a fairly perfect lighting tint, for my preference anyway, Fenix is the light I most always turn to. If I had just one complaint about this light it would be the omission of the 150 lm level between 50 and 350; sometimes a lights lower settings is what really makes it useful for many more occasions. Other than that, love the beam profile and the extra run time of that fat 21700 battery.
I love Fenix headlamps, i own 3. For flashlights i go to Olight. Ive got some Nitecore, LedLenser and a monster called Acebeam K75. For industrial grade work i go for Sofirn: alot cheaper but the quality and resilience is very good.
From my experience, I still haven't be able to peel mine. I've had a pd35r for at least 5-6 years, for work. And I it's still perfect. Best part is that I work with really caustic fluids as an aircraft engineer and its still intact. I can't say much about the USB covering tho 😅 that ripped off a while back
Fenix customer service sucks. I had issues they sent me switches. I couldn’t figure how to replace then I watch video of an engineer. Using special tools. wtf. Without tools can’t do it. Olight pricey I had one light. They replaced it 4 years later. No hassle.
@@ChrispyThings If you want to know which one is better..break one..then try to get the warranty on it. I can guarantee afterwards one light brand will disappoint. The other has great customer service.
CHRISpy Things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There’s something about the quality of their lights, and the beam profiles, that I love about Fenix. I do concur, about the holsters, and that is a weak point with Fenix; Their presentation/ packaging, and the poorly designed/made fabric holsters. I have the first Version of this light, and it is one of my favorites. I may have missed it, but did You do a view of their new model of Ht32, or something like that? It has TIR optics, with Red Green and blue. It looks to be quite a light? Take it easy! And just GO! 👍👊
Just a heads up their warranty isn’t really that great. It is for more or less the lifetime of how long they sell the model not your lifetime. Just had to deal with a light that the charger port no longer works on that is discontinued. Was offered 30% off a new light and sorry about your old light from Fenix
I own a TK15, TK15 U.E. and the PD25r - love em all. Fenix lights are fantastic.
👍

Does this Fenix tail switch not peel over time? The Nitecore one can peel off.

Do you have a favourite brand? Fenix, Olight, Nitecore?
Just forget Olight.
Not necessarily
Agree - so Disappointing ( for me ) = Fenix Rules @@Falk4711
@@Falk4711Why? Olight's flashlights seem to be very well built.

I am with you, its kind of a pet peev, I want my light to tail stand. I also want a crenelated bezel.
Is it really working 400h+ on 5 lum?? I’m getting it just only because of that it’s crazy if it’s true
Hello, which one do you prefer, this light or the nitecore mh12 pro? Im having the hardest time deciding so your response would help alot. Thank you.
Nightcore has the greenest tint of all and turbo only last 10 seconds
I don't understand why Fenix has the obnoxious loud clicking sound on their TK series which one would think would be tactical.
Is Nightcore now on par with Fenix? thanks
They’ve surpassed Fenix in some ways in my opinion
@@ChrispyThings do you know how much they charge for those 'proprietary' batteries?

Good thing you constantly shake the flashlight otherwise we couldn't see anything in all that darkness. 😑
Every edc light should have a 1 lumen or less mode. This flashlight looks awesome, but no true moon mode kills it.
This one is similar to the Olight warrior 3s

Lumen is not everything - as we could see. 👍
One nightcore boasted 4000 lumens; why would you need to go that bright? To blind a person or what?
You’re right. Let’s just make all lights 100 lumens. That’s all we really need right? 🤣
@@ChrispyThings lol
Hate the metal switch good luck finding it in the dark lolol only thing I hate about this light
