I have the 33 and love it! Best EDC light I have carried...now, I just need the 35 to give me that extra distance...and capacity. Keep innovating. You're doing great work
I am a self defense instructor. I would use this to show my students that this a very usefully self defense tool and and also a great everyday carry. I teach military, police , medical, Executive protection personnel. Thank you for the video
I am after a new flashlight for my work with aircraft. I do several walk arounds / pre & post flight inspections per day & night shift. I’m currently using a 500 lumen torch and it’s just not cutting it, especially on A380 tails where the throw gets lost in tarmac lighting. Hello I am from India and on field work and oftentimes go for camping and all and this edc 35 will definitely be a big help to me in daily conditions. Especially when there is a mix of flood and spot mode.❤
Hello from Portugal 👏! Great video! This EDC35 is the best of the 3 worlds. I'm a senior technician in the work inspection and i have 3 flashlights - and all 3 for diferent tasks. It's true that only in specifics situations you will need all the power at maximum and for a long period of time. In my particular case 3 in one to: - read documents and overral rooms end near equipament; - light big spaces in edification in construccion or in activities sectores that need the extra light (boat fishees, agriculture, etc); and, finaly - the beam to show the and of a long corridor ou a elevator shaft. Finaly is a tiny flashlight with features that is perfect for the daily use. Keep making this videos to show us what is out there in the market and to give us good advices!
I've been a fan of nitecore for a long time now. I used to work in a customer care service industry and I was doing the night shift. That could be a very useful EDC for illumination and safety. Keep up the good job nitecore.
I love when you make videos. I have seen a lot of others on this light and decided I don’t like it. But I see you make a video and I want to watch it. I just like your method of explanation
Hey MJ, one important innovation of the ''rotable cover'' of the usb port is to dissipate heat well, unlike rubber covers that just pops out when my TM9K TAC just got too hot. Heat cannot escape and therefore can't dissipate properly due to the blockage of the rubber cover. Heat forcefully pushes out the rubber cover. Anyways, I saw some youtuber that leaked the new TM9K PRO utilizing 3 sets of UHI 20 MAX just like in the EDC33. Three times the lumen power!!!
I'm happy with my EDC35. The main use is the spotlight mode and the turbo to have a good look at a good distance for a short while. The flood profile is not that great but does the job. If you luminshield (spot+flood turbo), it's melt time. :D
I love this Nitecore EDC-35 i am a firefighter working at Fire department at Bureau of Fire Protection Philippines. It is a big help to have this kind of experience to have an Edc-35 for my work specifically in Rescue, Firefighting operations etc. Also it is a big help specially at night we cannot see any because our Fire Station doesn’t have flashlight we only use the light of our fire truck. Reality speaking it is very difficult lack of light equipment.
I work at a museum so the light source is a must have, either we are closing for the night or opening in the winter season, or have a power outage or checking the perimeter because we had an alarm turned on. Small rooms or big chambers i need a powerful and versatile light source.
I do a lot of backcountry camping in northern Canada. I need a light with a wide flood pattern to light up the trails at night and also spot beam to look through the bushes to spot any wildlife at a distance. I have been looking at the EDC35 for quite a bit now which integrates wide/spot beam in one and also small enough to carry during camping.
I rely on my torch to increase my chance of survival during my job. And I've *always* trusted Nitecore. But about 3 months ago my torch failed for some reason and doesn't appear to be fixable. It was the P20iX with TSL10i attached for visibility. I also use a red lens. So, I've gone back to using the TUP, which is pretty restricted. But it is an amazing torch for its size. It's one I've recommended to a lot of people because of the length of time the battery lasts on Level 3 at 65 Lumens. And at 200 Lumens for Turbo mode when needed. The EDC35 looks truly awesome. So I'd love one. I'll have to save for it. Congrats to whoever wins it. Thanks for sharing and showing what's new by Nitecore. It's an amazing brand.
I've used the EDC-33 for the past few months. Having a searchlight and a high intensity flood all in one compact package is a genuine game changer. Having those same benefits with even higher output sounds great - definitely going to get an EDC-35 when it's available where I am.
The game changer will be when we have the flood light where it is most needed, in all modes. No sense, I am inside my house in the dark and have to choose between 15 lumens spot or 1200 lumens flood... the ideal is flood in low modes and spot in high, but nitecore did exactly the opposite...
The high lumens flood is complicated, inside rooms is blinds you, outside spot is more efficient, so ONLY high lumens flood is not so usable, 99% of the time with the edc33 last month, I ended up using the 15 lumens and spot turbo, because all flood modes is too high for its purpose. Missing the low light flood, until then, I opt to carry an olight i5r to pair with edc 33 and cover this flaw ,is far more useable in edc as a low light flood, its what everybody needs, clip to a hat(nosense spot in a hat, and nosense 1200 flood in a hat), toobox, car, engine, doors, bathroom, kitchen, bags, cinema etc. Who needs 15 lumens spotlight? What is that for? And a very hot and big battery drain 1200 lumens flood, what is that for? Who is that for? The ideal for me, would be an app that you can connect your smartphone via usb, like as charging, and you set the modes by your specific uses, like, I prefer the light click to be lumin shield, low modes flood and high modes spot. With this app, it could target ALMOST everybody, and not locking me with the modes they in their labs thinks is usable fo my cases... :)
As a school warden, this would definitely help when patroling around for any after hour activities. Especially kids when they're not sleeping on time. The school I'm in are also quite rural where power is limited and water is life. People literally boat to school here. For everyday stuff, this looks perfect for the job.
If you slide the torch into the punch with the clip on the outside of the pouch (either side but not to the front) the torch stays at the right distance to be able to pull it out. Not sure if that was their intention or not but it works well.
My whole family uses the flashlight every night when taking the dogs out for their nightly stroll. The edc 35 is compact and gives a good amount of light for the not so well lit areas around the house and on our compound road.
just wanted to say amazing review, always enjoy watching your videos. Very simple and informative. And i have been waiting for a light like this, no magnified lens and simple way to switch between spot and flood. This light is simply amazing.
I am an engineer in metro project. I need to go for trackside assessories inspection and various E&M plant room for checking. Since the trackside lighting is low and only locate in particular location, the EDC 35 can let me see wide and see far when needed. The low mode for EDC 35 can also let me walk around plant room safely.
I just received the EDC35 bundle. Both light are very high quality light durable construction. I really like the beam with the mini led very bright good on both spot and wide angle. I can live without the strobe feature but it would be nice to have. The only complaint I have is the it it heats up too quickly (in seconds) If you guys can work on the heat dissipation you will have a really great light! Thanks
I operate in tactical application and I've built my light system all around nitecore products. I've got installed on my Wendy helmet the p10ix for a wonderful flood type beam able to be quickly regulated, while for mid distance I've got a p23i which give a decent hotspot and very generous spill that gives me the opportunity to take track on what happens around my peripheral view, and last but not least the long range option MH40s which helps a lot to take a very good look down range in open areas. I'd like to have the EDC 35 for every else not tactical application, along side with my LR70 to have complete efficiency in any scenarios. Great job Nitecore, keep it up.
I'm a pilot currently using P23i for my daily aircraft walk-around inspection,a floodlight mode seems to help alot in examining area closer to ground.. loves Nitecore products, awaiting for a NE20 earphone review..
I am a paramedic by profession and work nights and am constantly going into homes and areas with little to no lighting. Have been attacked several times on my job also. So I would use it to not only see my way to helping people, but it would also be great as a bright light to help with potential threats. I currently use the EDC27, but want one I can mount to my belt. Ty for the awesome videos.
I really need that light with combination of spot and flood. I am frequently in the outdoors, and in this setting I often need flood most of the time with spot when I need to illuminate what is farther apart. As usual great review!
I have 2 jobs during the day I am a building maintenance your normal 8-5 and when night comes I do side hustles like deliveries and other side hustles. I always carry flashlights day and night. Usually 2 flashlight because in buildings even if it's daytime the nooks and crannies are simply not enough light to illuminate every side of the building. I always use flashlight weather inspecting the ceiling under the sink or on hollow walls where the utilities runs. Simply a good flashlight is not enough what I need is a really good lighting tool designed for professional. This EDC35 is perfect a 3000 lumens spot or the 5000 lumens flood. You don't need that kind of lighting only a burst of flood or spot. It's handy because it had different lighting output for different scenarios. It can even be used as self defense tool.
Such a great light that I would use for work. I work in the aviation industry and it would be perfect for my night time shifts where I need to see parts of the aircraft clearly. And I would definitely use it a lot everyday since I walk a lot around dark areas.
coming from the p23i to the edc35 i was kind of dissappointed with the runtime of the 3k lumens, but using both lights i never use it more than about 10 seconds anyways. the edc35 has more light in the spill area vs the p23i which i like better and also the centered button compared to the off center button on the p23i.
I would use it for my job, due to working as an emt for 911 on an ambulance in my city. I am currently using the p23i, and love it. I plan on getting another one to keep in my truck.
I'm using it since few weeks ago I'm a club security this EDC 35 is perfect in my work place easy access on one button, great for multi purpose use combined with throw and flood I love it, I used tm9k for 5 or 4 years and tm9k is my favorite of all time but arrival of these edc35 makes me feel more satisfied because of the function and dual uses, because you can use flood and throw at the same time for me this is the. Best in my opinion 👊💯
Hey there! I recently came across your channel as I was researching a flashlight to replace my really old Anker Boldr 90c. I did not know anything about flashlights but your channel does a really good job in video production and explanation! I am starting to get into camping and hanging out in the woods and was really interested in the EDC 35 as an everyday flashlight! I have a couple of trips coming up (one of which is a trip to see the total solar eclipse!!!) and it be would be awesome to win one! I was also torn between the MH12 Pro/MH25 Pro and the EDC 33/35 so I think it would be a great idea to have an in-depth comparisons between all of them! I'm sure so many people are thinking the same. All the best - keep up the great work!!!
Got the edc33 but want something with longer runtime, this edc35 fits the bill perfectly!!! This will make my newspaper delivery experience up a scale.
I carry 2 small flashlights every day as I work alone 3rd shift maintenance taking care of an entire hospital. This light would be such a huge blessing. Having 4 kids and 1 income I just don't have the money to buy one. Great video as always, thank you.
I’m with a Tualang Honey haverster team. Our task requires us to locate beehives high up the trees during dark. I find that EDC35 really have all the features we needed. With a single hand operation, transition between walking in the unmapped forest using lower lumen and immidiate need to search the trees, change to higher lumens for spot and flood beam is super convenient because we dont need to search the trees for long, we need to move from place to place quickly.
Yeah, and I even got the MH12 pro due to a longer runtime at higher lumen and even consider to swap the new NL2160hp battery into it. I wonder if it works btw as it produce the same discharge as MH12 pro stock battery
Whats up from manila. Been using different nitecore keychain lights on photography sets for quite some time now. Been considering to get the EDC27 as my main edc flashlight now. Cheers! Keep on keeping on!
I EDC flashlight due to the nature of my job. I'm an auditor for food industry, so always entering humongous warehouses. Additional lighting is very much needed since most of the warehouses got insufficient light intensity. So, thrower is definitely is a must for me.
This torch looks quite good I’ve just ordered the MH25 pro as I was very happy with my MH25s I’ve had for a while, this EDC light would be another good option especially with the lock feature
Im a seafarer and i think that the best flash light to use onboard, for checking lashing and twist lock of high loaded containers, for searching stow aways, and a self defence for some pirates and thieves. Hoping to win 1 of that.❤🙏🙏
Impressive light. Look forward to seeing this microLED tech on other lights - for a hiking option, please consider ability to use flood at low levels with spot kicking on at higher levels. So like the reverse of how the EDC 33/35 work.
Had the MT22C and HC65 for 4 years, HC65's used everyday in roof spaces as an electrican, the MT22 i'd love to replace with the EDC35, better battery, better ergonomics for brightness control for night works
Hope someday i can get this as my first flashlight to support me observing how my military student survive in deep forest over a month. 21700 will help me a lot while leaving the base for hours, plus simple tactical mechanism can support stealth mode for no light situation settings.
Another great torch I have to add to my arsenal for home inspection. Also, any plans to update the CU6? That has been my favorite Nitecore light and has seen so much action over the years. Keep up the great work!
Not professional worker so I like this like for multi-tasking / Jack of all trade characteristic there. what I really like is simple control , no strobe mode, and easy lock out mode. Also no silicon flap for usb C port that in future could be spoil or tear off. Also in same price range the battery performance is really good. If i ever win this, I actually want use this to fent off stray dogs with lumen shield if they try to approach me because my walking path got 2 different spots have strays.
Can you please make a P23i series with the EDC35 features! I like the spot and flood with the 9 leds in the EDC35 I love the form factor of the P23i with the pedal and the glass breaker bezel Thank you
wow, I've been waiting for your review with the edc 35 because I know that your reviews are always complete.. I started collecting Nitecore tactical flashlights when I bought a mh12s which I use as a police officer, and as of now, I have my p20ix and p23i, I also bought my wife who is also a police officer a mt2a as her everyday carry that she can also use for self defense. and I've been waiting for this kind of flashlight from Nitecore for it's powerful and perfect specs for me.. thank you.. 😊😊😊
Nitecore is the best for me! I have P20 and work like a clock max output is 800lum but I love their spot light and fload light in same stream and huge MODE button I was try few days ago to drain battery so first put on 400lum and take stopwatch and let run after 3 hours nothing change then put on max and lay to sleep after 12h still have light good enough taht you can use it in dark and see they have good processor or what control how much light and how slow will drain
I work security posts at construction sites and have to walk dark areas with my light around many obstacles. Would be a great light for these purposes.
Awesome! At almost 5 hours of battery life this light would allow me to work an entire shift without any backup torch or having to recharge it between my rounds.
Hi Man. Your explanations of features and where how to use them is brilliant. Your comparison videos are amazing and help me decide on the right way to go. Please do an explanation of the all the Nitecore mosquito repellents. The range is big and I have no idea what the differences are.
The EDC 35 is a great all-around flashlight. I am a baggage handler for a major airline. I use it to inspect the airplane before push time. The spotlight is very handy to inspect the leading edges and the tallest points of the plane. Also, to most of the facilities of the airport underground have very poor lighting. It makes it a whole lot easier to inspect freight coming out of the Freight house and to identify people in a secured area instead of looking at just shadows.
If it had a swappable battery I'd get it, but if you need all night power, this just can't work. I also think the "turbo" needs to last 30 seconds at least. 10 seconds is just too short. Hopefully the next version fixes both of these problems.
Switching it on/off takes some practise, I now succeed in 99% of my tries. However my girlfriend never managed to reliably switch it on and eventually gave up using it.
I am a an engineer and mountain leader often volunteering for many charities. This torch ticks all the boxes both lumens , range and size. I can benefit for it's dual use purpose. The search and rescue on this will be amazing. I hope I win :)
I use the EDC33 in my Jeans, the clip is tight and it holds it well in your pocket. It sounds like it’s ripping your jeans sometimes but it hasn’t yet 😎
I am on call basically 24 hours a day at my complex. Need a good EDC light. Have had nothing but problems trying to find one. This looks like a decent alternative than what I've been dealing with. I had MS03. Imalent. it randomly died while using it indoors and on the second setting. Two months old took me 30 days of back-and-forth emails to convince customer service in China that my light was broken had to send them a video. They finally sent me a replacement head took a total of 45 days From when the light died to when I received my replacement. I shouldn't have to go through stuff like this. I need a good light that works. I have a smaller Nightcore NMO1. But I need something much brighter. Will be looking into this new light ASAP 😅
Havent had any Nitecore in my tool case but i use flashlight working at night assisting my friend in his herpetofauna surveys (2-3 hours per session) at small streams in Sarawak. Endurance and spot light is critical and i'm curious how EDC35 handle my use case.
IM SUCH A FLASHLIGHT NERD : THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THE BEST EXPLANATION VIDEO IVE SEEN : JUST EXACTLY WHAT CONSUMERS NEED TO MAKE THE BEST CHOICE : EXCELLENT JOB !!!! SERIOUSLY
Nice review for a nice flashlight :) Maybe an idea of a future video can be a comparison for utility/security lights (and other solutions) used not to see but to be seen like Nitecore NU05, Nitecore NU07, Nextorch UT41, Nextorch UT51, signaling cones for flashlights (Nitecore NTW34 by example), reflective head/arm/... bands, ...
If I have to choose between Nitecore EDC35 and Nitecore MH12 pro for my everyday use and especially for camping. Which one would you suggest the best fit? Thank you
i work on the field mostly nightshifts in a fuel terminal and I need a flashlight that will give me both spot and flood lights when needed, plus i just like this flashlight and just want to have small one..i have an imalent rt35 soda can style, amd just very big and bulky.
They just keep getting better and better. I’ll just have to break down and get me one. Enough of watching videos about it time to get it to real world !!!
I liked the NTH20 holster. But I am finding it impossible to find online to purchase. Showing the deficiency in the NTH32 is actually not going to work for me. I need one hand access on a duty belt. I do have a NTH25 holster. Will this work with the EDC35 or is it too big?
I'm a project manager and find myself on construction sites with no light all the time digging in a dark sea can, or in an unlit room under construction. This would come in handy.
Would come in handy for my night/early morning delivery, warehousing and sorting work. Still using MH12S, but it's become so tiring to break the grip every time modes need to be changed.
What a Outstanding Light, I Own Several Nitecore Products, When I go Anywhere I will always Wear my P20ix, I will always trust my life with any Nitecore Light, What a Dream to have Such a EDC Light with both Flood and Throw, and having longer run time, What a Home Run. I also seem to always grab my Nitecore Light's when I might need to Track a Deer 🦌 and what a Genius ideal to show the Big difference with other Flashlight company's products. I know that I am 100 percent sure if I owned that Light, it would be my next best Freind, that I would never leave my Home without it. As always great review 👍. Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick God Bless 🙏 You Brother
I'll add that the auto dim when in close proximity to stop burning or materials does not work for the 33 or 35 but does for the 27. Does the 33 and 35 even have this feature?
Hello, I have a question. I'm now getting to know all the different flashlight options, I didn't imagine there were so many brands, I preferred to buy a North American brand, but when I saw that both Streamlight and Surefire make flashlights that don't seem to innovate as much and are extremely modest in terms of lumens and candelas I'm interested in Chinese brands. Like everyone else, I like to buy products that last a long time, in your experience which brands last the longest without showing defects? Which flashlights from which brands have you used for years and have not failed.
The thing with brands, they have low end and high end and lights as well. So naturally the higher end lights perform better. If you’re talking about sheer longevity, the light that last the longest, regardless of brand are the ones with no moving parts, replaceable batteries, less rubber parts and flaps. If you take care of the lights, the batteries will die faster than the led or circuits will expire. This is a good topic, I’ll def do another video on this to deep dive. Thanks for the excellent question!
I have the 33 and love it! Best EDC light I have carried...now, I just need the 35 to give me that extra distance...and capacity. Keep innovating. You're doing great work

i’ve been using the EDC33 for about 2 months. The instant bright is crucial for a tactical light. It also has an easy to use low mode.

Its heavy. There's lighter options. Why would you want a usb charging light in the "backcountry" anyway?
This one is perfect for self defense and low light "strobing" clearance through areas.
I edc my SRT 7I its big but it checks off the most boxes.

You're kidding, right?
Don't you have the strobe with the edc 35?
I have a lot of NC lights/headlamps. Never had a problem with non removable batteries on this brand.
I don’t mind a rechargeable light as long as that light can use regular batteries also
I would use it for my job, due to working as an emt for 911 on an ambulance in my city.
Right on
Just got the EDC35 and it's amazing! Thanks for the helpful review. It swayed me to get this one.

I’m a welder, our shop is very dimly lit, would make it very easy to check/clean my welds on products before having a supervisor check them
I’m with a Tualang Honey haverster team.
Good example of a use case! Thanks for sharing 👍
18:20 EDC35's self-defense feature 😁
I would use the EDC 35 as a general purpose light. It can do pretty much everything!
Hoping to win 1 of that.❤🙏🙏
I always carry a small flashlight. I want to up the lumens. This may be the perfect fit.
I like the Dual flood and spot beams! 🙂
Love nitecore. Always pushing out great lights without breaking the bank. Something there for everyone
We dig deep holes and sometimes I need to see what is down there while also needing a flood light to check equipment. This light would be perfect.
Perfect companion for night shift on patrol. Great multipurpose light for indoors or out.
It would be perfect if it had a strobe-ready function like the P20IX!
Can you please make a P23i series with the EDC35 features!
I like the spot and flood with the 9 leds in the EDC35
I love the form factor of the P23i with the pedal and the glass breaker bezel
Thank you
wow, I've been waiting for your review with the edc 35 because I know that your reviews are always complete.. I started collecting Nitecore tactical flashlights when I bought a mh12s which I use as a police officer, and as of now, I have my p20ix and p23i, I also bought my wife who is also a police officer a mt2a as her everyday carry that she can also use for self defense. and I've been waiting for this kind of flashlight from Nitecore for it's powerful and perfect specs for me.. thank you.. 😊😊😊
Happy to help!
That'll be a good addition to my gear on those long patrol nights along a huge industrial facility.
You are an amazing reviewer. I love how you present all the features in such an interesting and understandable way.
I appreciate that!
i love these flashlights Nitecore EDC33 and EDC35 the perfect EDC for me.

I was in Manila last year! Def need more lights on the streets 👊
I work security posts at construction sites and have to walk dark areas with my light around many obstacles. Would be a great light for these purposes.
Awesome! At almost 5 hours of battery life this light would allow me to work an entire shift without any backup torch or having to recharge it between my rounds.
These flash lights are really cool. Makes night work easier thanks for the review
Hi Man. Your explanations of features and where how to use them is brilliant. Your comparison videos are amazing and help me decide on the right way to go. Please do an explanation of the all the Nitecore mosquito repellents. The range is big and I have no idea what the differences are.
Will add this to the queue. There’s 2 more coming out
The EDC 35 is a great all-around flashlight.
Perfect use case right there! Thanks for sharing 👍
Warehouse supervisor.. perfect for setting pallets on the top racks❤
If it had a swappable battery I'd get it, but if you need all night power, this just can't work. I also think the "turbo" needs to last 30 seconds at least. 10 seconds is just too short. Hopefully the next version fixes both of these problems.
I've never used a Nitecore, but the EDC35 looks amazing!
Looks like a great light! Haven't used one yet but would like too soon.
I would definitely use it for my work because I am a security guard and this would be absolutely great!
Is this edc35 suitable for normal jeans pocket carry?
I use the EDC33 in my Jeans, the clip is tight and it holds it well in your pocket. It sounds like it’s ripping your jeans sometimes but it hasn’t yet 😎
Really like the two I have the Edc27 and the MT2A pro.
These would be very practical when I am photographing in the night.
I'm interested...where to buy that flashlight
This could be usefull for me as a teacher here in japan as i can patrol the hallway during the dusk and dawn and have a reliable flashlight!
Just received my EDC35, i wish there was a bigger difference between the searchmode en lumin shield.
SERIOUSLY
Appreciate it!
Nice review for a nice flashlight :)
Maybe an idea of a future video can be a comparison for utility/security lights (and other solutions) used not to see but to be seen like Nitecore NU05, Nitecore NU07, Nextorch UT41, Nextorch UT51, signaling cones for flashlights (Nitecore NTW34 by example), reflective head/arm/... bands, ...
Ive been watching this guys videos on repeat for the past 5 days😂
If I have to choose between Nitecore EDC35 and Nitecore MH12 pro for my everyday use and especially for camping. Which one would you suggest the best fit? Thank you
i work on the field mostly nightshifts in a fuel terminal and I need a flashlight that will give me both spot and flood lights when needed, plus i just like this flashlight and just want to have small one..i have an imalent rt35 soda can style, amd just very big and bulky.
Haven’t tried nitecore. I’d really love too tho! Thanks for content
I'm still waiting for mine to be delivered, looking forward to it.
Do you usually pencil grip the thing so your finger is always on the mode button?
@@NitecoreSGno, I have to either use my other hand or break the fist grip to change mode.
Appreciate it!
I got the 27, 33 and now 35 all pretty awesome!
I'll add that the auto dim when in close proximity to stop burning or materials does not work for the 33 or 35 but does for the 27. Does the 33 and 35 even have this feature?
They do have it, the 33 and 35
Can I bring this in my hand carry on a plane?
@@NitecoreSGThank you very much!
I will edc that light. It will help me a lot with my farm tasks
