I’m sorry Caleb, this is like parents feeding you Mac-n-cheese then having steak after you go to bed 😂😂😂 What a wonderful way to dive into empty nesting….having a second honeymoon ❤ You two look wonderful, happy and youthful, I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to see all of your trip !!! Blessings
you guys know that, everytime you mention mac'n'cheese, the first thing that comes in mind of Italians is some messy cheesy McDonald's hamburger? 😂😂😂 I always have to think twice about this
We were stationed with the Air Force in West Germany back in the middle 70s. The in laws visited and we pulled a Tabert camper 4 adults 3 little kids and off to Italy for 3 weeks! When we got to Rome, we stayed out of town at Camping Fabulous and took the bus into the heart of Rome every morning. Actually, a bus, a short subway and another bus got us close to the USO. If you have only one city to visit in Europe my vote is for Rome. I could go on…but stunning, friendly, gorgeous people who smell incredible! The art alone….chef’s kiss. Go! Been 50 years since my visit and I feel so fortunate to have visited Rome.
Marc- I just want to rent a car... and just GO.. somewhere! We'll just stumble upon things... Tricia- Okaaaay... and looking a bit lost as the planner/researcher with no destination! Ending with the backing up the narrow street! LOL 🤣😂 Ahhhh....Italy. Always an adventure!! God Bless!
Italy is a beautiful country. I loved Florence because of all the art. But anywhere in Italy is wonderful. So glad you loved Assisi. It certainly is a special place. I agree, tours are a great way to get to know a place. We do that too. In the Catholic church, the bells ring 3 times a day; 6am, noon and 6pm. We pray the Angelus each time. People stop what they are doing and bow their heads and pray. Some churches still do that.
Le campane suonano anche decine di volte al giorno, dipende dal timer e dalla benevolenza dei cittadini. Ma dove hai visto chi china la testa tre volte al giorno, forse ti confondi con i paesi arabi😂😂😂.
New season of KYD. New season of life for Marc & Trish. We all miss the kids but it's still so fun to travel with you guys! You always document everything so well and you never fail to put a smile on our faces. Thank you for all you do❤
I’ve spent 8+ weeks in Italy over the past 4 years and there’s still way more to see. I usually watch your videos dreaming of my next home trip (trying to cross off all 50 states) but so glad to see you guys exploring Europe. Like Mark, some of my favorite places there have been unplanned travel days, though Positano and Capri are stunning and worth the trip.
The Moka pot is one of the best things ever! We have done 4 trips to Italy in the past 6 years and that was one of the things that never stopped. Best coffee ever! Enjoy!
OH I know this is going to be epic. Just you and Trish in Italy? Awesome! I have a feeling Marc is now going to have to ham it up now Caleb is in school too!!
I've been a viewer for few years now. I love watching all of your adventures and I'm looking forward to what's to come. You guys are crushing it!! Keep up the good work!
You went from teaching people how to back up a trailer to touring Italy!!! So happy for your family. You all were my inspiration to go full time. Over two years now.
They haven't seen or filmed in Rome, they showed us stereotypes, bullshit, but is it a video just to see the costs and report them? Then always go to the crowded places with rude foreign tourists. Thanks to the bullshit about Italy, but if Italy is in the G7, 2ND EUROPEAN INDUSTRY, 5ST EXPORTAT THE WORLD, TOURISTS ARE STUPID, IF YOU TAKE AWAY RICH LONDON, THE REMAINING GREAT BRITAIN IS THE GOAL OF THE ITALIAN ECONOMY BUT STEREOTYPES. THE ENGLISH ARE OBESE AND SICKLY, LIKE THE USA.
Italy is my dream trip. I’ve been to Germany. I’ve been to France almost to Italy. I’ve been to Austria and the Bahamas, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Key West, and other places, but I haven’t been Italy yet. So thank you for the view of something that I really want to do. It’s on my bucket list to go to Italy and Greece since I’ve already been to France. So thank you for sharing your empty nest trip. Have fun you guys.
Marc and Trish. You may also be interested in “Leave Everything and Wander”, Italian TH-camrs who traveled from Alaska to the tip of South America , on a wing and a prayer, before the pandemic hit. They have property, recently remodeled, in the Italian Alps, an olive grove in Sicily, and have begun to renovate a 1,000 year-old house in Sicily, which they bought for one Euro. These are adventurous, very hard-working people who love to travel. Luca, Sara, and their little girl Luce are living the theme of enjoying a “second chance” at life since Luca, a young man, almost died after having a stroke while they were at their home in the Piedmont area of the Alps.
Sooo excited to watch you two in Italy.. I’ve been 3 times in the past 10 years but have so much more to see!!! I can’t wait to come along & live vicariously through you& your friends … your itinerary looks AAWWmazing! Sundays can’t come fast enough! Safe travels!💖
Glad you got your flighr We are Talor county Fl. We took a direct hit from the hurricane power restored in about a week internet and landline phone was out about 3 weeks. A ton of trees down power pole pulled down but things are cleaning up slowly. And no one was hurt
Love this video and how you are embracing this season! Thanks for taking us with you! Hope you travel next door to SLOVENIA during this trip. It's gorgeous, too!!
We are so excited to catch up. What a great series. We are going to visit Italy in the spring when we leave Ukraine. This looks like a great trip. Our trip starts in December.
Wow! This is a BIG surprise! Have to wait another half hour to watch, because my son and I always watch together and he's at work, but then I'll (we'll) be back - SO VERY EXCITED!!!
How wonderful to relive Italy through your eyes. You are doing some of the same things we did, but much more that is new to us. We also traveled with friends (two other couples) and had a ball. One big thing we did different was rent a BIG villa in the middle of Tuscany for our first week. We had breakfast and dinner each day in the villa. We hadn't planned to eat each evening in the villa but the cook was so great we all agreed to do our sightseeing during the day. I know you will have a GREAT time, hiccups and all! 🍷🍽🥂

How do you find so much time to research for travel. Would love to see a video on how you research these travels and how long it takes to complete the research. ❤️. Safe travels!
We went all over Italy last year for our anniversary and I love seeing all these sights again! So happy for you guys, glad you took an empty nester trip ❤
Lovely. Thanks for doing this. I've never really had an itch to go to Italy (we travel to Asia) & still don't but thanks for the opportunity through your eyes. Nice job. Love your attitude Mark. Yeah once we left Rome we winged it too! Worked out fine. That was back in 1994(?) but I think it still works. We were there for a month also-we had both been laid off! I did a tour of Italy 5 years ago. We used a Hop On Hop Off bus to see some of Rome. Out hotel was just 3 blocks from the Coliseum. We also took a bus tour to Lake Como from Milan. Well worth it given the traffic and narrow roads around Lake Como.
I adored Rome when my best friend and I visited! I think we put on 10 miles easy that day! I love how you guys have time to explore and take in everything! I hope you actually do the Amalfi coast because we loved it and it was totally worth the hype!

I grew up washing and drying my parents percolator that they made their coffee with. Haven’t seen one of those in quite a while. So glad you are doing this fun trip
What a beautiful travelogue in a stunning country. I visited the Amalfi coast as part of a solo tour of Italy in 2007 (so...times have changed!) but I LOVED it. Seeing the Grotta Azzura and the island of Capri (while yes, very touristy) just blew me away. It seems like visiting either Amalfi area or the Cinque Terra is a must and you'll be happy either way 🥰

Italian coffee pots are the best for camping and caravanning well translated into RVing for US citizens.
Even though there are Dips, you guy's are always so calm. Looks like it's going well as well with your friends too.😍🤠

Looking forward to this! Learned a lot already. This would be my 1st choice for a European vacation.
I love the intro song! Keep having fun!
Maybe someday we will get to Europe, thanks for letting us come along.
We love Italy. Tuscany is our fav spot! Well done getting a car. Its a bit intimidating at first, but worth it.
What a great trip! For our first empty nest trip we camped in BC in areas we’d never had been.
