I’m actually pretty confident that Messi will stay on at least through the 26 World Cup … it being in the Americas surely will help that also his game provides so much more than just physically so he can affect the game with his gravity and passing and still be a top player in 2 years that helps you win games.

Canada is a weird anomaly, they've been improving vastly in recent years (this is the same national team that called up and utilized a player from the Belgian 2nd division and a midfielder just 2 months before his 40th birthday for the last World Cup) and now have a manager with a legitimate resume with Jesse Marsch. The problem is that Marsch managed his first game for Canada less than a month ago, but his most recent game was a draw against France in Bordeaux so it is possible that we could see an improved side, but against Argentina, this is a massive hurdle they likely can't overcome.
They're going to get demolish in the group.
If Canada somehow manages to get at least a draw in this match against Argentina, I'll be really satisfied and happy with the result. 🙂❤️✌️🇨🇦

There’s no doubt in my mind that Argentina are the unanimous favorites to win the Copa America this summer and I wouldn’t be surprised if they add another international trophy to their collection. They have shown no signs of slowing down and in the last 3 years, they’ve been the most successful team in international football especially since they’ve won more trophies than losses since 2019 which is impressive. Even after winning the World Cup 18 months ago, they have shown no signs of slowing down and have continued to pick up results and win games even when they haven’t always had to be at their best and their squad hasn’t really changed a lot as they still have most of the players who were in Qatar when they won the World Cup. Lionel Scaloni has a winning juggernaut.
Their attack has a lot of strength. Lionel Messi is still him and he’s the greatest footballer ever, Lautaro Martinez despite his inconsistency at international level, he is a top striker when he’s in form, he also has Julian Alvarez as well, Angel Di Maria still has the magic in his feet even at the age of 36, Alejandro Garnacho is another option to have in attack when you want to bring someone off the bench, Alexis Mac Allister is an elite midfielder, Enzo Fernandez is a much better player with the national team than he is with his club, Rodrigo de Paul is a robust midfielder. At the back their defense is very good. Lisandro Martinez would be their first choice center back if he stayed fit for most of last season, he probably won’t start, Cristian Romero is an excellent defender and barely puts a foot wrong in an Argentina shirt and also Emiliano Martinez is an unbelievable goalkeeper who has been in top form and we know the shithousery he likes to do during penalty shootouts. Even though they have won everything there is to win in international football in recent years, Argentina are the best team in South America and the gap between them and Brazil is very huge as the likes of Uruguay and Colombia are also in the mix to win this competition and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they do so simply because it’s the Copa America and literally any team can win it. Their team is so good to the point where the only thing stopping them from winning this competition is if they beat themselves and I wonder how everyone will react if Argentina wins the Copa America this summer.

I see Messi playing as long as the team is of quality. They finally are a complete team and having already won it, not having all that weight on his shoulders makes it more possible, assuming he is there mentally and truly feels that he can contribute to the team.
