    This is amazing! I’m not a worship musician but I’m buying it. You should not limit this to churches or worship musicians. This has a lot of potential. Put more sounds in it, more synths, brass, strings and you can sell this to any keyboard player. Don’t limit your market. Or perhaps create pop/rock version of this and call it FridaySounds.

    I've only gotten 1/5th of the way through the video and I'm blown away. As a former Apple Employee and presenter of MainStage workshops for Apple, what you've done in some ways is even better than MainStage. I was on the fence whether to replace my Mac or my iPad or both and the issue is settled. The ONLY reason I was going to replace my Mac is because of using MainStage/Omnisphere for performance. I'm a 50 years plus keys player and have been playing in Worship bands for 15 years now, including churches MD'd by Ran Jackson, Brenton Brown, and others. I bought Camelot Pro a year ago but haven't gotten around to learning how to program it. Now comes Sunday Keys App and I no longer need to learn anything. It's ALL THERE! At least - I'm hoping to find a worthy B3 patch because I use a controller with my Leslie. And I don't even have to upgrade my older iPad Pro! I can even go back to using my Original iPad to run UnrealBook for my chord sheets. laughing... Wow. Just Wow.😁😮😯❤❤

    You can do the same with MK sensation for only 25 dollars guys. Don't get me wrong it's nice but 120 dollars for no updates and no more patches. They only send you patches for mainstage and ableton. That is not kewl if we're paying the same price. That's not fair.

    Adding the ability to use 3rd party sounds within this ecosystem would make this app perfect. Great work. I love my Ravenscroft piano sound and B-3x organ app. Being able to toss these in (along with sounds from the Korg module) etc. would be incredible. I know it can be done already with AUM and Camelot but your organization and focus on worship applications makes this quite unique. Your sales will rocket as soon as you add the option to use 3rd party sounds. Guaranteed.

    THANK YOU! We have been using Sunday Sounds/Mainstage on a MBP for past couple years and it has been an asset in our contemporary worship service. Now we can easily add to our blended service with the iPad app and not have to purchase another laptop. The sounds are perfect and the setup is so easy...although, the Anker powered hub is no longer available. Today was first day of using it, but the iPad only had 20% battery left. We learned that the app will still work without the screen turned on. This saved the battery until the very end of the service! Again, thank you to the Sunday Sounds Team!

    I love the potential here! Sounded great in my home studio, so I made my first attempt to use my iPad SK App at large church today. I was connected exactly the same way as my many times with my mac: midi in from Nord and usb out to UMC202, out with 1/4” plugs to same rack as Nord. They just disconnect Nord and connect my gear.The only differences were iPad Pro 12.9 5th Generation with thunderbolt 4 extension to Anker powered hub ( with Mac I used unpowered hub for usbs only. Separate charger to mac.) The first thing FOH said was “what’s that noise?” Production team and I checked cables to make sure it wasn’t in their equipment, but no it was coming from the iPad, like radio interference type noise and additional noise if I touched the screen or moved any sliders. There was no time to track it down so had to immediately use the Nord as plan B. I don’t give up easily so …..What can I do?

    I'm currently switching from Mainstage to the app and there's a lot I'm excited about. Very intuitive to use and the snapshots are great!
    @SundaySounds, could you make a few more videos on how to customize the sounds? For example, how to modulate the sound of the piano from soft to hard during the song? In general, some more instructions on the sound effects would be great. There are a lot of controls that I don't know the meaning of yet. I often used the tone control in your mainstage template, but unfortunately it's missing in the app...

    A great addition to these tutorials would be a showing of how to first set up and plug in the ipad to the keyboard. Which cables do I need to have? What channel to plug into? It may be easy for experienced keyboardist, but as someone just getting into it, I have no idea what wires/cables I need nor where to plug it into :/

    Hi guys from Melbourne, Australia. I lead most Sundays (mostly from guitar, but sometimes I play keys) and I am a big Neal Morse fan (prog rock legend and fellow believer).
    When I play keys I really just want Neal's sounds, and they are almost without exception Hammond Organ / Wurlitzer sounds. Any chance of a dramatic increase in the number of organ sounds in your app? There are at least 10 Hammond variations that Neal uses that I would love to have ...

I am so relieved you already built this as i was really hoping to not have to build a simplified front end over a striped down daw or zynthian. What you've done is exactly what a live performer needs...now we just need a way to buy and add those fantastic samples or models that are out there.

    Some of us are in the dark about older iPads. As for me I have never even owned one. I do have some knowledge though. I definitely do not have the money for a 9th gen iPad with a M1 chip. So let's talk more about what we can find used how far back in the iPad gens we can go for Sunday Keys. For example, 4th or 5th Gens? Are they fast enough? Give us more info please 🥺

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We would recommend 6th Gen or newer (A10 Fusion chip or newer). This is covered on the FAQ: The Sunday Keys App can be installed on any iPad device running iOS14 or newer. We’ve tested the App across a range of supported devices including the base iPad (as early as 6th generation), iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro. Experience will vary from device to device with more powerful devices capable of better, faster, and more reliable performance. The App has been programmed to accommodate all various iPad models and you’ll be able to adjust relevant settings within the App for your device including adjustable Audio buffer size, adjustable Patch loading settings, and graphics optimizations all focused on optimizing CPU usage. iPads featuring USB-C or Lightning ports can be used, just note that the hardware adaptors required will vary based on your iPad’s port-type. More information on connecting gear can be found below and is detailed in the Sunday Keys App User Manual.

    Hey @Sunday Sounds, What do we do when the app keeps sticking on midi notes? Like 4 or 5 times per song.. I understand the "Panic Button", but that disconnects the midi keyboard as well, meaning it now has to be turned off/on to register. Is there a setting that makes the app more reliable & not constantly stick?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Corey, sorry you're having trouble with this. We're not aware of any widespread issues like this, thankfully, so we'd be glad to help you look into your specific setup and see if there is perhaps a midi learn connection or hardware issue that is causing it on your end. Please contact us via our website and we'll be glad to help you dig into it. Thanks!

    - You mentioned it's compatible with all midi controllers. I'm wondering if I could use a Yamaha Montage 8 with the App? Will the App recognize it and would I be able to map faders etc?

    Your App is nearly perfect! Do you take feedback from your users? If so, the app could strongly benefit from a physical way to switch between Snapshots on the MacBook since it doesn't have a touch screen. Being able to switch between Snapshots with a push of a (preferably programmable by the user) button like the left and right arrows, space bar, number keys, a touch pad tap, or even the Korg controller buttons would be AMAZING. I enjoy the larger screen of my Mac to my smaller iPad, but cannot easily switch Snapshots while playing live. Being able to quickly click physical buttons to switch Snapshots during a live performance rather than trying to drag a mouse would be PERFECT! Thank you for reading.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, the short answer is no, you are not able to transfer MainStage or Ableton Live patches to the App. We know many Sunday Keys users have go-to Sounds and Patches they’ve found or designed in Sunday Keys for MainStage or Live. While you won't be able to automatically transfer Patches from MainStage or Live formats, we believe you'll be able to recreate them in the App in a fraction of the time using the same custom-sampled Sounds and instruments in Sunday Keys' other formats. As we're still building out the Sunday Keys App's Sound Library you may not find all of your favorite Sounds or Patches are available yet, but rest assured we’ll be working hard to bring the entire Sunday Keys Sound Library to the App in the coming months.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sherri, we would recommend checking at the sound board first, perhaps the channel you are using is processing the audio this way. There is also a built-in EQ inside the App for each Module.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sherri, first make sure that you've ruled out issues with your hardware signal chain and gain staging. Make sure the volume is turned up all the way on your iPad (if the volume buttons let you adjust- some audio gear turns those off), make sure you have a flat EQ at the soundboard, and that your signal is gained up properly. Also make sure if your sound system is stereo, that you run your keys in stereo, and if your system is mono that you adjust Audio settings to send Mono out within the App.
      If you still need help, reach out to us directly. The pianos should sound nice and full :)

    I have a Nord Stage 3...I hate to "give up" the amazing polyphoney of the Nord keyboard...is it possible to retain those while at the same time layer things like drones/pads for background? If so, exactly how would this be done in terms of connections, etc, etc, etc.

    Can i use 2 midi keyboards for sounds and have some layers go to one keyboard and the other layers go to a top keyboard?

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Owen, you could set your Primary Controller to "Any" and have the App respond to two controllers, but there's not currently a way to have some Sounds controlled by one and some by another. If we receive enough interest we'll consider adding support for multi-keyboard setups to our roadmap :)

    on midi control is there a way to set a scroll left or right on values and or set dials to control eq or internal functions in the layers other then just the main control page ?

    Once I buy the Ultimate License can I use it with both the App and MainStage?

    A bunch of us are planning to start a band and I, as the keyboardist, was eagerly waiting for this app to launch.. However, is there anyway that I can have a free trial version or something before purchasing the full license because I will be going to another state for one year to study and I don't want to get a license and not use the app...
    Another thing, our band is not a worship band or we don't play in church.. but we plan to play covers of regional songs in some pubs and other venues.. is this app a good one to do that? or do you cater only to worship players?
    Thanks in advance...

      Hi, you can download the App in the App Store and try it out in Demo Mode before buying a License. The Sunday Keys App is designed for modern Worship Music, but you will find lots of Sounds and Instruments available to cover a wide variety of genres.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, thanks for your comment! You can download the App and login with a free SundaySounds.com account to access a limited library of demo sounds, definitely enough to let you get a feel for the App!
      While the Sound Library is focused on core worship music sounds, many of those same sounds can be applied across any number of genres and since the library continues to expand over time, more and more coverage will come!
      Feel free to reach out to us via our website any time we can help. Best of luck with your studies!

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey André, thanks for buying! The App has many of the most popular Sounds and Patches from Sunday Keys' other formats with more to be added regularly over time until the entire Sunday Keys Sound Library is available in the App. From there, those who maintain an active Sunday Keys license will see a new monthly update with additional Sounds. We also plan to start adding support for our Song Specific Patches in App format down the line, but those are not yet available and there's no set timeline for that just yet. Thanks for your question!

      @@andrekennedy4439 Hi André we’ve just recently brought more acoustic pianos to the App. We’ll be working on bringing the guitars, strings, etc from Sunday Keys’ other formats to the App as well, so the library will get more comprehensive over time :)

    Can you use more than one midi keyboard? I have two separate ones that I use with MainStage and Sunday Keys. I’d like to keep that workflow.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment! For now the App is primarily focused on single keyboard setups. It is possible to designate the App to respond to 'All' Midi controllers, so you could use both to trigger notes, but there's not a mechanism for designating some Sounds to one keyboard and some to the other. We're open to all feature requests though, so we'll take it into consideration!

      @@SundaySounds Thank you for your response. I think making it possible to use two keyboard set ups would be very appetentious for those of us who have more than one keyboard responsibility during any given service. I’m the only musician in my service so doing six and keys falls primarily on me. And having an extra hand to do key base or other sounds that don’t mix primarily altogether is necessary for me. I’d think making that an option in the near future would make the app more accessible to those on the fence about it like myself. Thanks.
