I really want to make the worship music on my church to have this kind of effects but sadly I can’t afford this things. I wished we can able to have this things for better praise and worship for my church.
Feature Request: Make click volume adjustable (if possible). We practiced last night with keys + pads + click and click was overwhelming. I am just reporting that our keys player said that click volume was set. (we have keys/pads/click all going out audio 3.5mm jack for now until we get an audio interface as you have described). Also, if possible, allow click routing to secondary outputs (imagine a Focusrite 4i4 with four outputs - allow sending of each to a pair of outs - say keys to 1,2 pad to 3 and click to 4). Of course, if routed that way, one can adjust the gain on the particular track once it hits a mixing system. Best-case scenario would be the TrackRig (a bit pricey at $499) - keys to 1,2 pads to 3,4, click to 5,6 (allowing someone to adjust which ear to put it in) and audio playback of perhaps some tracks or a song we are practicing on 7,8.
Worth noting that a lot of digital / stage pianos will receive the audio over same USB used for the midi. As well as being much easier to setup (and of course cheaper!), 2 distinct benefits: 1) if the iPad or Sunday Keys crashes you can just fade the digital piano up and carry on playing. 2) no faffing around swapping audio cables if some weeks you have a keys player that just uses the piano
We are running Sunday Keys on an iPad using a setup very similar to what you describe in this video. Our keyboard player/Worship Team leader wants to also run Multitracks from an additional iPad from her location. Do you have a suggestion on the best way to interface all of that?
I'm using a 9th Gen (A13 chip), and can positively attest that SK works GREAT on this device, with a 512 buffer size. I am actually able to load David's "one patch to rule them all" which uses all 15 sound slots, and play it with no problem. Things get a bit dicey if I replace one if these with one of my own plugins, such as Pianoteq or MKSensation with all slots filled. BUT both of those plugins work very well with up to about 6 sound slots. I might possibly upgrade to an M2 device so I can run more layers with my own plugins, but really, how often do I need more than 6?
This may be a dumb question, I’m new to this and trying to learn. Can I use my iPad (new iPad Pro with M4) charger as the power supply or do I need to purchase a separate one like in the video? It doesn’t seem to want to power my keyboard (Native Instruments kontrol 88 key MK3). Using hub to connect to audio interface Focusrite Scarlett 4th generation to Kali audio speakers.
Hi Angela, not a dumb question! As you're already leaning towards confirming, the included iPad power supply doesn't supply enough power to actually power connected hardware devices. That's why we always tell folks to purchase a dedicated power supply that's intended for providing more power.
Any tips on adjusting the sensitivity of pressing the keyboard? I feel like there are times I try to play under the preaching and I try to play soft and sometimes the sound will just SMACK.
many keyboards have some built-in mechanism for adjusting the velocity curve. If not, there’s also a velocity adjustment slider within the “Midi” settings tab in the Sunday Keys App!
What's your keyboard - post such make/model with these questions. Also, does your Front of House mixer position adjust volumes or does the keys player do it?
I have my YAMAHA mox6, but I can't connect with the app. I got the midi to USB cable, got the audio interface. "Do I have to setup something more, or any setup in my keyboard?" Please help.
Just got the whole set up and I’m haven’t trouble with the sound. It sounds super low on the in house speakers and when we turn it up on the mixer it sounds saturated. Could you please guide me in how to make it sound louder without distorting
Proper gain-staging is key, so rather than turning up the volume fader at the desk make sure you're setting an adequate channel gain signal at the input stage for your mixing console. Happy to help further if needed, reach out to us via the link on our website!
Shit, I've been thinking for two weeks now about which tablet I should get for the Sunday Key app. I ordered the iPad 2022 today and you're releasing a new video today...
I’ve got a 9th gen (I brought them in 2022 but I think they’re even 2021 models). I needed a camera connecter to connect it to the hub but so far so good.
Why nobody can answer me this question? Can you have at the same time open the Sunday Sounds app and the Word app? To read the songs and playing at the same time.
Hi does the m audio 49 key midi work with your Sunday keys app, cause I was wondering if the song specific patches are programmed for 61 keys and 88 keys or will the patches auto adjust to what ever size keyboard I have?
I don’t believe so. On my m1 iPad Air with stage manager turned on it ends up as a little landscape window in the middle of the screen. If you have an external midi controller with faders and stuff and don’t need to actually hit buttons in the app it works fine. The app will keep running and making sound in the background even if it’s not on screen at all. Just remember to close it when you’re done, it often completely drains my iPad battery overnight when I forget it’s running
Hey folks, thanks for your comments. If I use the macbook for sunday keys, comparing both the SK app and Mainstage template, does the Mainstage version technically have better sound quality? Just curious for when I want to use it to record.
Hi there, great question. If you'd like to use Sunday Keys sounds for recording we'd recommend that you actually download the MainStage format and then open those Patches as channel strips directly inside the sister DAW, Logic Pro. That way you can take real-time control of the sound, or automate it on the timeline as needed. It gives you maximum flexibility to record multiple midi takes, etc.
I’ve been having some crashing issues on my M1 iPad air if i have too many of the slots filled and hit a lot of notes. I feel like it’s partly a app problem more than an ipad issue, but can’t be sure for your scenario

Help 😔 I'm having a problem with Sunday Keys not recognising Radial USB pro for the speaker. My audio interface broke and I bought the Radial USB pro thinking I can just have that with my Ipad Pro and a midi keyboard. I've connected the midi keyboard and the Radial USB pro to my usb hub connected to my Ipad Pro but sounds only come out to the Ipad speaker. Do I need a separate audio interface with Radial? Or am I connecting stuff wrong? The Radial USB I have then connected to our mixer. Please help🙏🏼😔

Hey guys I’m having crashing issues on the app. Disappointed as I just upgraded to an M2 iPad Air after it was crashing on my old 2017 iPad Pro - hoping this would fix the issue. Still crashing on my new iPad when using song specific patches. Super frustrating during a worship setting when the app completely crashes. Help??
Hi there, thanks for your comment and we can definitely help. Crashes of this kind indicate that you need to consider optimizing some of the CPU settings in the App, especially the pre-load setting and the audio buffer size. You can also reduce CPU strain further when you're playing Patches with a lot of sounds (or just playing a lot of notes) by reducing the "Voice Count" setting within individual Sounds in your Patches.
