    One of the main patches we use week in week out has a SK Grand, SK Upright, a Pad, and a B3 Organ. I might mess around with the EP though. But that’s worked for us so far!

  • @user-ro8sb3lb9c

    I find the arps and sequencers to be the most valuable to our team.
    We have six, sometimes seven vocalists with powerful voices and great harmonies. I play keys and used a Roland RD-800 which was great for layers, but that was it. We have a bassist and a drummer on an electric kit, so the rhythm and space fill of some arps were always lacking.
    Sunday Keys has single-handedly improved our worship almost overnight without a massive learning curve. Not only can I incorporate arps and sequences, and add some easy dynamics with the mod wheel, I can also send the click through a separate output.
    A patch setup like this is chefs kiss! Keep up the great work. I truly believe this is a service to the Kingdom of God and His worshippers.

    With all sincerity, I love what you built in this be-all-end-all patch; absolutely mind-expanding! I’d love to hear how you would apply the different elements using the 100% pie principle. Say, you were 1 of 5 musicians (bass, drums, acoustic, you, and an additional keys player. If everyone’s MAXIMUM contribution to the overall sound “pie” was 20%, and you’re NOT trying to emulate a previously recorded version, how would you re-arrange Praise (what would you immediately think of playing), for instance? The acoustic will bring the percussive pick rhythm, but no “body” to the frequency spectrum, bass has the bottom, staying out of the midrange, and the other keyboardist is filling pads-max 3 notes-C3 to C5. Honestly, I think it’d be a cool departure for a moment to hear how you would approach that scenario. Blessings, and great work!!!

    Hey David.. I love all of your videos, but I especially love these actual practical videos that I can sit here with my iPad and do what you're doing. As a suggestion I think that you guys at Sunday sounds should come up with like a 12-week Sunday sounds at university. Where we get practical training for 12 weeks obviously online TH-cam or whatever format you think best. I would 100% pay for that. Well unless you decide to charge like Nord prices or something lol... Then I'll have to paint my keyboard red.
    If you include things like using the on app EQ system which I really believe you guys out of work on changing by the way. And just a lot of nifty tricks that you guys know that I would love to learn.

    Really useful video! I have an 8th generation iPad Pro with 128 mb, so I’m hoping it is just enough to run all this without having to mess with memory adjusting or deleting sounds.
    Have you done any videos specifically on tailoring arps or sequencers? I had to set a sequencer for one song and it took me seemingly hours to get the effect I wanted. Also do you have any videos specifically on tailoring reverb and adjusting EQ of a given sound?

    a lot of recordings and churches now usually have multiple keys and organ players. They usually play more than one keyboard at a time per person. So I would honestly just build 2 or 3 Sunday Keys rigs depending on the amount of keyboards you are using, so the sounds are not limited to the main chords being played, because usually you don't even use a synth bass or lead all at the same time. :)

    I don't even use a piano sound because as the AUX keys player I don't need to step on the Pianist. So thanks for the Piano exposition. Would have preferred just dealing as aux player with sounds to enhance the overall experience. Interestingly enough even though we have a pianist and keys and bass and two elec guitars and one or two acoustic guitars and of course the drummer. So the point is this, Although I can handle most of all the instruments myself as a keys player and Sunday Sounds. Then there becomes a the point where I ask what the worship leader is looking for as a keys player and most of the time its play an organ sound... Oh well! organ it is!

      Thanks! The core of the Sunday Keys Sound Library is our huge collection of custom samples, which are used in all formats including MainStage, Ableton Live, and the standalone App. There are some differences between each format due to different audio engines and FX, but we find that you can get very similar results (and each format sounds great!).

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Building a Patch with this many Sounds will definitely require more CPU resources than a 'typical' Patch. If your Mac or iPad has an M series chip you should be just fine. If your Mac is Intel-based you'll probably need to be a bit more thrifty and either remove Sounds you don't need as often and/or follow our CPU optimization tips like reducing Voice Counts, increasing Buffer Size, etc.

    • @SundaySounds
      @SundaySounds  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      this is all just a single midi channel.
      When you're building a Patch of this size, it's definitely wise to reduce voice counts based on what you actually need. If you ran all 15 Sounds at 64 voice polyphony, even on a powerful device, you'd be in for some sluggish or unreliable performance, but that's only because you're creating a state the App was never actually intended for! In a real-world performance context, where you use the stock Voice Counts for the included Sound Library, or consider reducing them based on what you actually need, you can control the balance well.

      @videditorEB1 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ever tried that bro? I’m guessing no. I’m a pro keys veteran of over 40 years and making a standalone piano sound good is VERY difficult. Even the sound you think is one piano is actually three pianos, an Ep, a pad,and a couple of reverbs and delays. Yes, some pull it off and make it look easy. I assure you it is not. Layering multi sound sources is fundamental (for most of us) to delivering a decent worship experience to a crowd.
