Did you find what you were looking for? I recorded for the first time (with Riverside) today and am now trying to figure out the intro & outro and to add background music… after it being so simple on Anchor & Spotify for Podcasters.
For iPad we have a specific walkthrough here: th-cam.com/video/fGPevdYBpN4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mOEO53xRloF1j0rV And we're creating a video for audio-only recordings and publishing it here very soon.
This was so helpful! Is there a way to overlap/ fade / transition from intro music to podcast episode. Ideally I want the music to overlap with the first few seconds of the podcast conversation. Thanks!!

We don't have the ability in the editor to do that just yet, but you can add audio files to the Media Board in your studio, and while you record can play those in the background. If done while you record, the music will be present in the editor after the fact!
This editing tool is amazing, but when I'm trying to edit my audio content, all of a sudden it starts skipping, and skips all the way through, so my audio is not clear when I export. Why does this happen and how can I get it to stop?
How do you add background music to a podcast you have recorded on Riverside? There is no way to put my uploaded music to another track to act as a background music. Can you advise? Thanks!!
So I used the Spotify Podcaster app last year when first developing. I only want audio and the experience was much simpler to invite guests to a recorded call. I’m Disappointed that the new version makes guests download the app. Too many barriers for them to join the call recording. Also seems weird that I can’t do as much with just my phone vs. the desktop app. Love to understand this. Spotify Podcaster had its experience complexities but the simplicity was great. I’m guessing the reason is that your audience is pro podcasters?
We definitely find many creator benefit from recording video in addition to audio, even if it's just for sharing clips on social media. But know that editing on mobile is something we're working on to bring the experience closer to what you were used to.
Thinking about switching to Riverside. When you recording multiple camera's in Riverside, does Riverside use ai to auto switch between speakers in editing?
If you're using multiple cameras in the same room with one speaker, there won't be auto-switching, as that's based on audio. But we can actively switch between speakers for remote guests!
Hey! Our editor doesn't allow for that right now. But if you upload those files to the media board in your studio, you can fade them in / out live as you record and that will be present in the editor!

Excellent new editing features and a great video summary. I have a question from here in the UK: We want to produce an audio-first podcast but also have, as a by-product, the exact same edit as a video podcast to load up on TH-cam. If we use all these new features to edit the final audio content, how much extra work is there to do to also produce the exact same (to the word) video version? Then both audio and video podcasts will be identical. Thanks, loving your brilliant content 😊
It's super easy! Once you edit the audio version, you can duplicate that "Clip" or "Edit", turn on all the video tracks, and export a video with all the same edits!
We would appreciate it if a more friendly platform and app were created. That from the cell phone application, you can record and select free royalty music.
Can I change the speed of the audio? I have an intro/outro and I'd like the person speaking to be about 10% faster. It will still sound faster but take a few seconds off of them. Thanks! I'm a new podcaster and new user signing up today.
If one person in your video is lagging or ahead, can you add some dead space so that your response matches with the other person. My response time is off with my friend.
Unfortunately you can't do that in the Riverside editor just yet. We would suggest downloading the high quality files and editing in an external editor for that.

Hey! I edited an interview on the Riverside Editor and I would like to download the separate audio files but I can't see how to do it. Can you help me?
Hey there! At the moment you can't download separate tracks *after* editing. To download the separate, raw tracks, you can do that on the main recordings page.

Very soon we are opening up separate track editing which will allow you to adjust the volume of each speaker and background audio as well! For now, trying toggling ON normalizing on export.
All these steps are nice but I'm using my HP laptop. I started my recording on my phone's voice recorder, I wanted to add the audio to my riverside recording where I finished. I don't even have the additional option. What's going on? I agree with @shenastrong. AnchorFM/Spotify was recorder friendly.
