That was an awesome introduction, thank you. I aim to immerse myself in tutorials. I have an Audio Podcast called Everything End of Life which my local Hospice has asked me to go visual on (and they'll pay me per interview!) |so I'm at the beginning of a journey and am finding your tutorials and Riverside really user friendly.

Do I have to have a laptop? Or, can I use my iPhone. Because, when I login to Riverside I do not get any of what you’re showing me. Or, do I have to pay first? What do I have to do?
I had basically the same question but am on an Android. If I understand your response then I have to create a recording in Riverside to add files into from previously used app. I tried to do this and the recording I made says I can't create edits in mobile?!
I suspect there is a way to add show music, commercials, intros, outros, etc.? I'm starting with the lesser plan so as to not be overwhelmed. I have been using Zoom and have been putting off changing, lol. Can someone else log in to my account to edit the content? Does it make sense to use a screen capture in case the guest content isn't uploaded? Lots of questions...
Keep the questions coming! Right now you can add intros, outs, and commercials right in the Riverside editor. Just click the + icons at the beginning, end, or in-between cuts in the timeline. Adding music isn't available just yet, but coming very soon. You can send someone a link to download all the files without giving them your login too! And we don't find a screen capture is necessary when recording with Riverside. You actually get backup files in addition to the high quality local recordings every time!

How do I save my audio recordings in order to come back and edit another day? I often am recording my podcasts in multiple sessions, and I can't figure out how to save all of my recordings mid edits without losing it.
All your audio recordings are saved to your Riverside dashboard automatically. You can always login and access those past recordings whenever you'd like. If you mean saving multiple edits, when you're in the middle of editing an episode, just exit by hitting the back button to return to your dashboard and that clip will be saved as a draft automatically!
Hey there! We're working on longer, slower tutorials coming soon. Are you using the Riverside app on your mobile device? And are you having trouble recording or editing there?
You can upload clips in the editor using the + icon at the end of the timeline to insert in the middle, beginning, or end of your recording! We don't have a way to layer it underneath your spoken content.
You can send your edited clips to a few podcast hosts built-in, and we have an integration when you use Spotify for Podcasters, but TH-cam and other platforms are a manual export / upload process.
For that, split the the timeline at the bottom, delete one half, and then export. Then you can create another clip immediately after and export the other half!

Can i download the transcript as Text doc? How about as an SRT file? I had a little trouble with my Opal C1 camera when i was demoing it. Is there a way to fix spelling errors in the transcript?
When you record with Riverside, audio and video is saved locally on your computer and then uploaded to your Riverside dashboard. You can't access those local files directly as they live in the browser cache. But, once you're done recording, you can get the RAW audio and video files from your dashboard, and they're not compressed like zoom so you get high quality media!

@@Riversidefm it would be great to be able to hear the guest yes, but I was thinking about something one might see on TV where there is basically just a shadow of the person so there’s some sense of physical presence in the interview.

Great video but you are talking far too fast to follow it all. Also tried out the editing of the transcript and it is a nightmare to edit and correct words that are generated. Despite all of this I intend to try out Riverside particularly the 'live' studio feature with interaction with guests as my older platform provider used to offer this and now doesn't.
If it helps, here’s the latest version of our platform walkthrough and editor, we’ve made updates since this video you’ve found! And as for the speed, we suggest try clicking the gear icon on the video and you can slow down the playback speed all the way to 25% th-cam.com/video/7982JoMDsiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=eLXPCxEiHiS4wmvm
@@Riversidefm thank you for the more recent walkthrough video and the tip about the speed gear icon, didn't know that and yes it makes it much easier to follow.
@@JozefaFawcett I have to agree with you on this. There is some sense of trying to cram everything in, as fast as humanly possible, to keep the video shorter. I realize that there is the option of changing the listening speed, but this produces a very annoying sound and then it frustrates me and I will move on to a different tutorial by someone who can speak at some normal speed.
@@Riversidefm it is beyond annoying. On the one hand you are speaking too fast such that one has to keep rewinding over and over, and on the other hand switching to a slower speed, even the littlest change produces an annoying lag. @riversidefm if you know it’s an issue, why do you continue to do it? Why does your customer have to jump through hoops just to listen to a video? I realize this is thought to be some semblance of excitement, but all it does is push me away. I don’t care to listen to Charlie Brown’s teacher… wha wha, wha wha wha. The distortion in sound, at even the least amount of change, is like nails on a chalkboard. I realize that you are not alone in this basic salesman type of pitch, but one would think that you would listen to your subscribers when you are delivering your content. It is well beyond frustrating.

I used to record with Anchor and then Spotify. They were very user friendly. Tried to record yesterday with the riverside app on my cell phone and most of these features dis not appear. Disliked the experience.
Yes! Me, too. So nice and user-friendly. Now here it’s all complicated and you gotta do it on a desktop and with Chrome and I can’t even find where I can do my own show notes. They only offer AI, which comes with a plan…. Urgh. I think I’ll move my podcast somewhere else
I just record via my voice memo app on my iphone, save to my files then go to my Spotify podcast and upload from files. So stressful. I can't add the background music I used to have from anchor. This riverside is too complicated for me
You can send the share link on a studio or individual recording and someone else can download your files to edit externally. But to invite someone and use your editor would require a business plan and team members.
Can you share the track ID for that recording? You can submit that to our live chat support in your Riverside dashboard (click the link ? Icon in the corner.)
I've had a very difficult time with this product. I think the issue is very simple many of the features you have shown even a few months ago are behind even higher pay walls than the standard package. It's very frustrating and misleading. These are the marquee features that a few months ago were available at a more reasonable price. I'm probably going to go back to Zoom or OBS just because this bait and switch pricing is disingenuous.
I have been using riverside for 2 weeks now. i think im going back to streamyard. I do not like the limitations of riverside vs streamyard. The lack of logos, overlays, cant move the windows for viewers, guest management having more then one guest. Riverside is cool with editing, backup track and mobile, but when it comes to things like the actual things you can do during a podcast or guest windows, riverside seriously lacks. I love making the windows FULL or fill, split, etc DURING the interview. You cannot do anything during the actual interview. Also no capability for STREAMDECK.
We hear you on that, and understand the live streaming capabilities are a priority for you. We know many users have similar requests and we're working on it!
I dont like the fact that riverside does not provide different layouts DURING the actual podcast. You cant change the views between you and your guest to make it more fun, appealing and keep it interesting. Even when you edit the video, you can only choose ONE layout. You cant change the layout in another other part of the clip for a different layout. That sucks. I even tried splicing the video and changing the layout and NOPE still stuck with the same layout. This is coming from someone who just changed from streamyard because of the high quality but I think im going back to 1080 because this has way to many restrictions and I hate people are not talking about it or telling people the truth.

Can you add design templates and text like you can in Zoom around the people in the video
Right now we have that available in our editor, but not during the live recording just yet.
Can riverside capture sound coming from our PC/software?. I'm asking for someone who wants to make music production videos.
If you screen share with audio, sound can be recorded, but for your use case we would recommend an app like Loopback. You can learn more here: th-cam.com/video/cOA2Ex3AsCM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=OSNDVa3LvjZnQt_m
How do I add music to my intro ?
Background audio is rolling out to everyone very soon! You can see it in action here: th-cam.com/video/7982JoMDsiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=94vMvbi3sGoAm8b8
How do I get Riverside to record me in 4k? I have my iphone as the cam, via continuity camera but I can't get it in 4k?
Be sure to go into your studio settings and enable 4K, and remember that’s for our Standard and Pro plans only.
How long does Magic Audio take to run? I started it about 30 minutes ago and it's still spinning. This is on a 53-minute video recording.
It should finish by then. Use our live chat support and they will be able to help.
@@catrinadunn9529 yes just cos you can adjust speed doesn't mean that this is the answer LOL
It is well beyond frustrating.
also, can i be the producer and a co-host on my podcast...meaning watch the levels and be part of the inteview?
As the host you will see the levels just like a producer. You don't need to join specifically as a producer.
My version doesn’t have the option to label the episode in the recording set up
Will work on that!
Hey, if I edit like shown in this video, can I download the edited audio files as individual tracks? Thank you!
We don't currently offer that ability.
what maximum time i can record if i have 4 tiles
It depends on your plan, like the Pro plan allows for 15 hours per month!
I recorded 3 separate times. Is there a way for me to combine all 3 sessions into 1 audio file
Yes! In the editor on desktop, click the + icon at the end of the timeline, and then you can choose your other recording and combine them.
Are you able to add a co-host who can also record and manage?
That kind of multi-user feature requires Riverside for Business.
How many people could be on a recording?
10 people can be recorded simultaneously!
How many guest contributors can join a show at the same time?
8 total can be recorded.
How I could setect part of the video to delete it?
You can search the transcript or highlight any text, then press the keyboard delete key to remove it!
Way too fast to follow. I know you can do this in your sleep, but it’s new to me. How do I add an intro music fade-in and a music end tag?
We're working on longer, slower tutorials coming very soon! To see the background audio, check it out here: th-cam.com/video/7982JoMDsiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=94vMvbi3sGoAm8b8
I used to record with Anchor and then Spotify. They were very user friendly. Tried to record yesterday with the riverside app on my cell phone and most of these features dis not appear. Disliked the experience.
What features are you looking for?
Yes!
This riverside is too complicated for me
Can I invite someone to do the remote editing and to upload the Podcast to Spotify?
You can send the share link on a studio or individual recording and someone else can download your files to edit externally. But to invite someone and use your editor would require a business plan and team members.
I recorded a 50 minute side by side video with a friend and his camera completely cut out for the last 30 minutes and I don’t know why
Can you share the track ID for that recording? You can submit that to our live chat support in your Riverside dashboard (click the link ? Icon in the corner.)
Is chroma Key 🔑 on the map ?
We'll share with the team as a request!
I wanted to sign up for the free plan while I learn my way around Riverside and I got a studio with a $15.00 paid plan
You can downgrade from your account settings if you prefer!
I'm ready yet to upload anything but I'm working on it. I appreciate your patience.
What features did you need that were behind the paid tiers?
does this mean i should return my ROCE CASTER DUO
You can use the Rodecaster Duo *with* Riverside! We have a whole video on that here: th-cam.com/video/CMqGtgZFANU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sYYfxzhdDRLEkSWa
My request would be for you to kindly speak a little bit slower if possible. Thank you!
We understand that's a much requested feature, stay tuned!
