Just a thought. Did you try the compass calibration with the camera facing down rather than up. Not sure if it would make a difference but worth a try.
Yes I noticed that the compass calibration should have been down NOT up and that's why the Drone was acting up + being positioned under the overhead power cables will interfere withe the magnetic field between the controller and the drone. So try another spot to test and you'll find that these problems will be history..
Bummer this one isn't better Dan but it's not really surprising. Most of these offbrand drones disappoint. I had been eyeing these new drones that come with controllers with built-in screens and that is a great upgrade. Hopefully we will see the soon from Holy Stone and Potensic where we have a chance for it being a decent drone.
Hey Ryan I was hoping this going to be better but then reality hit 🤣🤣🤣 Unfortunately if Holystone releases something similar it’s going to be overpriced and most likely priced to be at a DJI level
@@Van_City Do you saw the new drone bangood get out for 112E (2 batteries) is a toysky s197 happears better than this one ,a screen controller and sd card support in the drone and EIS ! ( no gimbal unfortunely ) but happears a more quality cheap drone !!! Still not a single review since its very new but im curious !
I had this drone yesterday delivered by aliexpress, i tried and everything was stable, only the camera dont have gimbal, your clibration on gps should be facing down not facing up,..if you try this and still have that toilet bowling maybe theres really something wrong, coz minds really stable and its really holding his position..
Great video my only tip is to either have no background music while your talking or lower the volume. It kinda make the video for me unwatchable but I did because of the subtitles so thanks for that
These little toy grade drones are getting pretty nifty these days. Come a long way since 2016 when i started lol...unfortunately still not good enough lol.....good review buddy
They sure have come along ways but not even close to being good enough. Even some of the early gps drones were way better than this. My 1st GPS drone was a mjx bugs 2c which I think is far superior to this drone even with it not having a live video feed option it still was a solid reliable flyer.
@@Van_City question: seems like most tech stuff now coming out of CHINA, and like drones becoming a bog thing, SMART PHONES being number #1 though, my question is did you see or know of any of the costs of producing any of those items/drones? And that question from me seeing a post that claimed the COST if the IPHONE made in CHINA was approx $10 to manufacture, true or a lie ya all think? sure makes me wonder and even if it was not true, then WHAT are the real costs of producing them, cells and/or drones??? More info i gathered, that IPHONE went for or costs now about $700 to buy and own, is this same same thing now going on with how many and which other items that the USA allows to be sold from CHINA? And for anyone to start making them in the USA, there then must be a tariff to at least level the playing field, and make things fair. i think and say the USA can and will, with the help of GOVT, produce better quality tech, EX: DRONES then anyone else in the world could ever hope to do!!!
The instability of this drone is certainly concerning. I have a Holy Stone 360S which is about $50 cheaper but has no camera stabilization. Yet, the HS360S is super stable, even under windy conditions. Thanks for this review. I was considering getting this drone but after watching that drone flail around, it was a deal-breaker for me.
@@Van_City It's my experience that drones have 'WiFi families'. Probably the IP address range is the same. For example some work with HFun Pro, some work with RX, etc. But I have never been able to connect a different controller. Of course the controller is 2.4 Ghz and the app to camera is 5.8 Ghz. So perhaps only the 5.8 Ghz can work with different drones and the 2.4 Ghz is static allocated to a Mac address? That is also what happens if you 're-bind' a controller. In theory all WiFi boards can be reset. Because in this case the DHCP is in the drone it should be controller that has to be reset to get a new 2.4 Ghz WiFi address. If the phone connects through a cable with the (booster) controller than the controller hands out the address to the drone and to the phone. You switch the controller on first. This is as far my knowledge about WiFi networks goes. Luckily I know more about rockets to the Moon.
Oh boy nothing is good on this drone!!!!!😂😂😂 for that price this is unacceptable. Just get a potesic atom se! Even used for 110€ it is much better. New you get it for around 200€ i would never buy this drone
I think it is an inherent fault in all of them. I tried calibrating every way possible but no luck. We have been scammed unfortunately bud. I am going to try and get a refund but don't hold much hope.
@@zanebraunstein8366 My L200 Pro is $100 is much much better. Some cheap drones are pretty good. Some are pretty bad. But of course a DJI Mini or Fimi Mini is better still. The toilet bowl is probably the GPS module. Turn off GPS and fly it in optical flow mode. At least it's something.
@@Van_City I thought it could be a nice super fast to launch selfie drone for my bike trips. That's so important. I’ll try but usually it doesn’t matter if the drone is facing up or down. It is possible the GPS module is faulty in mine

The stability of this one is definitely concerning
Had it in my cart to buy it but deleted it , no thanks ! Once I seen the Hoover wasn’t good I knew already it wasn’t good and the toilet bowl effect
Yeah that toilet bowling was horrible 🚽🧻
I'm surprised you didn't try it with the obstacle avoidance sensor.
I rarely do with these obstacle avoidance sensors as them being infrared really don’t work well in daylight
Can you try see if the controller will connect to other drones? Probably not. But who knows?
I can look into it. Wonder if it would connect to a drone that uses the same RX drone app.

Comprei esse drone. Mas parece que não foi um bom negócio.
Yeah, unfortunately, it really did not lock onto the GPS very well and flew horribly. Also, the camera was very poor quality.
Look at it this way. Some businessman once bought the Eiffel Tower as scrap metal because they were going to tear it down.
how heavy is this drone bud
254g without the obstacle avoidance sensor installed
How much does your drone weigh?
With the battery installed the drone weighs 254g. This is also without the obstacle avoidance sensor mounted

@@Van_City Does that mean FAA registration is required?
