I just bought one of these as a backup and gotta say it’s really nice for the money. I tournament fish out of a old town predator, which is 12’ long and damn near 90 pounds, so I wanted something short and light that o could throw in my truck bed and do quick trips in nearby creeks. This kayak ended up being perfect for that. It’s light, easy to handle, and has a comfy seat and Rod holders. Everything you need to hit the water and do some floating and fishing. I got it on sale for $350 and I can confidently say that it’s the best budget fishing kayak on the market.
Spot on review. Picked one up about three weeks ago, have taken it out three times. First time kayak owner and was able to easily move from one end of a 50 acre lake to the other.

Thanks for the walkthrough. Just bought one as of 2 11 24. And for the price you can not go wrong. The seat is worth the money and pelican name brand speaks for quality good reviews
its a decent kayak, but pelican isn’t known for quality kayaks. Not by a long shot. They’re actually one of the least quality brands on the market. Right there with Sun Dolphin. They are the thinnest, least durable kayaks on the market. Hence why they are so light and inexpensive. They are like the Kia vehicle of the kayak world. But, that’s why I wanted one. They are super light and super cheap. But in no way would I call pelican a quality brand lol. It’s a wal mart quality kayak
@@jimlahey3919 My Porsche is the lightest one among my vehicles. I guess this kayak will also go fast. Being an inexpensive kayak, it is just icing on the cake.
I am shopping around for a good fishing kayak. I had a lifetime Tioga, upgraded to a good seat and loved it. I want to buy one that has nicer features like this one. How do you like it as of now? I fish a lot and will be spending a lot of time in it so I need something comfortable and that tracks well.
In all honesty I love this kayak for its light weight and simplicity, it has good features like the rod holders , attachment track and the most important part is the seat , I've spent 8 hour days on this kayak and I had no back pain what so ever and I've crossed some really big lakes at a pretty good speed with out any fatigue , I haven't tried to stand on it yet but for the most part it's stable and very Comfortable, and yes I think it tracks good for the kind of kayak it is, the price to me was a nother very good selling point , I found mine at dunham's for $400

I really appreciate it and I completely understand I live in flint Michigan and things have not been very easy for me neither I had to sell a mini bike I had to purchase mine , if you have a dunham's near you go to there website and sign up they will send you coupons threw email that shuld get it for you at a better price , i think mine was $450 and after the coupon it was $400 and they had a nother coupon that day that was a nother 15% off a nother item ,so I used it towards the paddle I found a good pfd from Wal-Mart for 45 bucks , I look forward to seeing you on a kayak on a future fishing video of yours good luck my brother 👊😁💯

That same kayak has had many different names in the past few years. I've found it to be very tippy and very unstable. I bought one from REI they were calling it the mist 100 XP. I kept it and put stabilizers on it. Good luck.
Did they give you scupper plugs? My fiancé is having issues with water coming in and we are having trouble finding scupper plugs that fit. Please help! Lol
Sorry for the late response I looked on Amazon and found some that say they are for pelican , sit on top pelican scupper plugs they are 11.99 , from what I read on the description they are for pelican and fits some other kayaks , I do notice some water in my kayak at the end of a long day kayaking but I kinda don't recommend them incase you flip over the holes are there to let the water out once you've flipped the kayak up right hope I was able to help you 😀
