Fruits are pure sugar . Not good for you . Veggies aren’t good for you either, they cause a ton of inflammation . Not all are bad but most. Meat and dairy is the most healthy and cures many diseases just switching to carnivore.

Being a native of Michigan (born & raised in Holland and reside near Grand Rapids), this is one of the best & accurate videos I have ever watched. Although, I have to say that if it wasn’t for the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor wouldn’t even be on the map.

Agree with your #1. We highly recommend the Hotel Iroquois on Mackinac.
Instead of Traverse City, I’d make it a combo of Traverse/Charlevoix/Petoskey. Cute shops and good food.
The whole lake corridor from New Buffalo up to South Haven has been beefed up over the years by Chicagoans coming for the summer. Lots of fine dining, decent wine, summer festivals. Not sure why Warren Dunes did not make your list. One of a kind.
Lake Superior beaches are a must for the rock collector.
Being a Michigander transplanted to the west coast, it amazes me that people outside of the Midwest/East don’t understand the vastness of the Great Lakes themselves. No, you cannot see across to the other side. Yes, there are waves. And shipwrecks.
    So much to Michigan!

agreed did that trip with my mother. We started at a cottage we spent summers at and drove along Lake Michigan past Petosky, Traverse city. We crossed the Mighty Mac, went to the Soo, Tahqumenon Falls, Paradise, and the Shipping Museum. Can't remember were we stayed the night but we went to Mackinac Island for a day, and then drove down to Alpena. spent the night there with friends, and then we headed down Lake Huron shore to Standish then across and down to Mt Pleasant for the night with another friend, then back home. I think it was 4 days, I was 12 and am approaching 60, so it's been a long time but it was an awesome trip

So many waterfalls. We like Au Train falls the best. Ann Arbor is nice trust me I know but not beautiful and charming like Traverse City, Curtis, and Alpena. Saugatuck is good fishing. Going up to pictured rocks I never seem to have enough time. Lots of hiking to see things. Chapel Rock is like a half day hike there and back. Bring food, water, and toilet paper. If you get up by Sleeping Bear South of Empire there is a ghost town Aral with excellent beech and old growth forest. Drummond Island is awesome. A true jewel and a 4x4ing must. Fossil ledges if your a fossil hunter is awesome. Number 1 should be Isle Royal Island. Mackinaw Island is best experience in the winter going across the ice on snowmobiles. A lot of the construction on the island is did in the winter.

Great list. The only one I've not been to is Pictured Rocks. The rest are awesome. I spent a full week on Makinac Island and even walked around the whole island and biked it a couple times. The Tahquamenon Falls are spectacular. The odd coloring of the river is from Tannin, I believe, which is from all the trees that line the river. Bark, leave, sap, and more contribute to it. It doesn't create an environmental threat.

Michigan is truely beautiful. Not sure how Detroit made top 10 list. I can put another 100 destinations ahead of Detroit.

The best time to see picture rocks is in the afternoon when the sun is at your back, in the morning it’s in your eyes.

Unfortunately unless you love cold Winter events, there's only about 3-4 months of enjoyable weather for most people. Shoveling snow is great conditioning if you pace yourself 🤣😂

Cold is better then hurricane's, alligators, poisinous or nasty snakes or salt water any day!

@Howard Hoefs I can see you got the all the schedules for a sweet stay at mexico.
Hello Howard ! How are you ? I will like to know more about your experiences there ??

I would flip it the other way. There are about 9-10 months of enjoyable weather and 2-3 months of grey and cold. SE Michigan in particular is a lot milder than most of Ohio as well as nearby Buffalo, Toronto or Chicago. It is Jan 28th and I only had to remove snow this year ONCE.

      @@SmashTheNumbers it looks like today's high is 30 F / -1.1 C and the low is 27 F / -2.7 C. Sunday: 31 F / -0.5 C and 17 F / -8.3 C. Now let's look at Monday: High is 22 F / -5.5 C and the Low is -1 F / -18.3 C. Does that "flip" to enjoyable for you? Sounds bitter cold 🥶 ti me. 🤣

@@Stagger-One OK... it is cold this week. Does not change the fact that I only had to remove snow once this year.

as a Yooper myself, skip all the cities. The small towns are what make the state worth visiting along with the beautiful nature. Isle Royale and Copper Harbor are two places that you have to visit once in your life. While I live in Calumet (45min from Copper Harbor) it never gets old driving to Copper Harbor and then to Eagle Harbor. This list is pretty good though.

Saugatuck Dunes and Warren Dunes are both great, and there are more. Grand Rapids is worth a visit as someone who has lived around it my whole life. There have to be more places in the UP and Northern Michigan than listed here that are worth a visit. Depends on the kind of trip you're looking for, I guess.

If you live in Calumet you probably know my entire family. Isle Royale and Copper Harbor are two must-go-to places. A quick stop at the Jam Pot anyone? :D

Yes Michigan is 2nd in nation for shoreline and number of Lakes. Alaska has the most coastline and over a million lakes. Michigan only has over 14000 lakes.

As someone who grew up in Marquette, one you absolutely missed.,Presque Isle(where you can hand feed wild deer),Black rocks, forestville The Amazing lighthouses,so much more. Don’t get me wrong,I liked the videos intended message…it just missed the mark. A bit more info digging, some local Yoopers to talk to for a minute and your video would have been that much better. Pictured rocks is not a city,it’s by Munising. Ann Arbor? How about Petoskey, near Traverse. Like I said love the video on Michigan, it’s just off the Mark.

Used to go down to NMU to see what girls looked like mid winter. Never disappointed.
