CHP pursues speeding driver in Southern California

- Officers with the California Highway Patrol pursued a driver on the northbound 605 Freeway.
The chase reportedly started when police broke up a street takeover. The driver has been clocked at speeds of 150 miles per hour, splitting lanes in traffic and blacking out the headlights.

Update: The driver and passenger stayed in the car, and a short time later CHP ground units arrived on the scene. They arrested the two male suspects sitting in the vehicle.

it's so stupid for these people to be driving that fast on a freeway. You are not getting away from anyone on the freeway when you have a chopper overhead.

If that Chrysler 300 had a Hellcat in it it could easily outrun the 'copter - you see that happen in white Dodge Challenger chases in Texas on YT How fast do you think those egg beaters can go anyway? Dodge is good for over 200 mph if it was Redeye version aka bye bye helicopters. 🎬
That’s not true, in LA county there is a very good chance of getting away. A lot of times the police will pull back to avoid risking injury or death. When the driver stops driving erratic the chopper will pull back as well and let them go. Where do you live? How do you not know this if you live here? It happens almost everyday

I was just thinking the same thing. I've seen chases for years. The highest speed in a pursuit I have seen before this was 140 tops. But never 175. He did something to amp up the engine. I'm wondering if they put NOS in it.

Chrysler 300 C or S has either the 365 hp 5.7 L or the 485 hp 6.8 L engine. That's how it guys 150 mph for those questioning.
