I've gone a bit bonkers since I got my Quest 3 a few months ago. I now have way, waaay too many games in the backlog built up. Zero Caliber 2 looks awesome, but I can't just jump into the second entry in the series, so I've been playing Zero Caliber Reloaded and having a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to Batman and Behemoth coming up!
I can vouch for Ragnarock. The custom song online community is abundant which keeps the game fun and exciting. Countless songs to try and discover. Strongly recommend 🤘
Thanks for all the Game Reviews. I do have Myst and Riven and play them with my Quest 3 on my PC. Both are very challenging and move at our own pace puzzle VR games for me - graphics in both games are stunning. I plan to get Zero Caliber 2 on STEAM in the weeks to come when it is available for release. Looks like a good FPS game and have watched several reviews and game play on it. The other games mentioned in the video are not the type I would get and play. I will be interested in watching the 20 new games you say you have and will be reviewing very soon. Keep up the great Videos. Take care.
More junk, only this there was zero calibre 2 which I’ll try. Bought load in the past two months but none are great or anywhere near Asgard’s wrath territory . Waiting for quest 3 exclusives to drop high hopes for these 😊
I bought Pets N Stuff for my 6 year old granddaughter... She loves it. Same company also made Titans Clinic and Shave N Stuff... She switches between them... Loves them all. It's pretty engaging stuff for the kiddos.

Let's see. Already started with Tomb Explorer VR, which is a fun concept surrounded by a pretty janky mess. 😊 I will wait for a couple of updates there before I jump back in.

Can't wait to see Batman Arkham Shadow, I love the character and have played most of the flat screen games (I have all of them on Steam) I am having a ton of fun with Zero Caliber 2, is probably the funniest military FPS I've tried so far I have COMPOUND on Quest, is a really cool game, for me is a hidden gem Looking forward to Batman, Aliens, Metro and Behemoth (Since Avowed was delayed this will be my Avowed for 2024)
Have you played No Man's Sky? I just got it a couple weeks ago on sale. It is amazing in VR. The universe is just to large and varied. Much like Vertigo 2, I just never know what I'm going to see next. I'm really enjoying it way more than I expected. It made me buy a new video card.
Does Kiwi design have any good headstraps that also make it comfortable to use the VR headset while in Lying Down mode? I don't have a hard/plastic headstrap because I need to use Lying Down mode comfortably.
I'm loving ZC2! There's some rough spots, but I know the devs are already releasing updates. I'm a bit concerned about Hit Man. I thought I heard the Devs say in the BMF interview that they didn't build it from the ground up specifically for VR and they just stripped down the flat version. Maybe I'm wrong. I just hope it doesn't look like Golden Eye 64.
Let me know if you need someone to play Big Shots with you, I love that game! I'm very excited about the VR Showcase and Gamescom. I can't wait to see new information popping up.
I must be about done with vr as I think this is mostly more junk. Was excited about Aliens but that is a rogue shooter which kind of spoils it for me. Thanks for reviewing as that saves me lots of time. I just keep playing the best 12 to 15 vr games over and over.

Could you make a video for VR games designed for younger kids? The usual culprits obviously (Gorilla tag, Yeeps, Rec room, All in one sports, etc.) but if you could add other titles that are lesser known it would be great. There is a gap in content about VR titles better designed for younger kids and a lot of VR headset owners do have adults with children who also use the headset.

Unfortunately most of these titles are not for me (sigh) wouldn't exactly call it junk but just more of the same. When it comes to VR titles we all know the keywords are Rouge Like, Procedural, wave, arena, Short, "experience" and Wacky. I am glad Mateo keep s looking into them so I don't have to and his views are balanced enough that I can get a sense of what the games are like even if our tastes are different. The only think saving this month for me VR wise is the Mod Author of 7DVR has updated it to work with the Full Release Version 1 of 7 Days to Die so I can FINALLY play in VR with my friends on our New v1.0 Server. 7 Days To Dies a bit Jank, Niche and VERY indie but it ACTUALLY feels like a REAL game and for me that is still what most VR titles are missing THE MOST. It is kind of hard to explain but, it feels like almost all VR titles now are relying on the "VR ELEMENT" to carry the WHOLE GAME, so much so that if you took out the "VR element" most of these would just be Goofy nothing special indie games or an off brand knock offs of a popular REAL game. All the Devs and Publishers are relying on the "VR element" to carry their weak titles to success, In my opinion THIS is what makes outsides see VR as just a gimmick, essentially that is how it is being treated by almost ALL the Studios/Publishers making VR titles, if you removed the VR from them most of these games would be NOTHING! What VR REALLY needs are Titles that are good enough to stand on their OWN even if VR was removed
I sure wish they would come out with alternate physical controllers such as actual drums or guitar type things for rhythm games like in the days of "Guitar Hero" types of games, which I liked. I find the Quest 2 music games really disappointing without that.
In general a junk month I would say, nothing special or exciting I am looking forward to. Well, Behemoth might come soon? Not this month though? Secret showcase 😂?
I usually love your videos, Matteo... but I find this attitude that casual games are "junk"--games that are often created by single developers, or a team of two or three, who are creating their games on shoestring budgets in the time they have to take out between their day jobs and doing "real life"--is just bull. I would LOVE to spend my time playing nothing but "Asgard's Wrath" or "Half-Life: Alyx" -quality games whenever I'm in VR, but the reality is, like many of these "junk" developers, my life is taken up BY real life... and so are a lot of other VR players' lives. Point is, there's what I want to do in VR--and what I have the time and energy to do. Often, it's only those games you've seen fit to denigrate as "junk"--but, dammit, those "junk" games have been life-savers for many, many VR users. From students who have to spend most of their time getting ready to live fully out in the adult world, to moms and dads who have to keep one ear open and one bent to make sure their kids aren't trying to emulate Superman by jumping off the top of the stairs, to cranky old women like me, who never thought they'd be caretaking every day, all day, for several family members at once... we'd be lost, and even crankier, if the relief that "casual" VR games provide wasn't there. And by the way, I don't see the vast majority of the know-it-alls who insult these games as "junk" doing a damn thing to make something better; do you? Making VR games is hard. It's expensive. It's time-consuming, even if you have a big ol' crew of developers to work on such games. And those facts at least partially explain why big-name developers have yet to do anything approaching a consistently good job at creating such games. Insulting the people who ARE trying, who may only have enough time and money to make their dream game into something that looks and feels more "casual", is inappropriate and unworthy. After all, "junk" or not, the quality of most VR games today is still MILES ahead of where flat screen games were at this same time in their own lifecycle. Yes, we absolutely need to know of and call out games that are half-baked, badly done, or have bugs up the woo. But to generally declare "casual" games as "junk' is just tacky--and frankly, unworthy of one of the best VR reviewers on TH-cam.
@kaecatlady it was more of an expression based on what I normally hear from people in the comments. Casual doesn't mean junk but I always hear "tech demo" "casual crap" "ps2 graphics" down in the comments
@@Gamingwithmatteo311, ahhh. So you more meant "junk", not JuNk. Thank you for clarifying. I still find such attitudes really annoying, maybe because some of the most fun I've had in VR has sometimes been while playing what others would've called "shovelware", even though, in truth I tend to be interesting in many games because the graphics are beautiful or "different", coupled with the potential of being "inside of" a good or interesting story. If I had the time, I'd definitely aim more toward RPG-type games, I suppose, though I also like frustrating the hell out of myself with a good puzzle game. Thanks so much for replying... this too, is one of the reasons you're one of maybe two or three VR TH-camrs whose videos I immediately open.
Quest / VR in general is starved for good story based FPS game. . so ppl are getting COD and the mobile title Modern Combat confused. ZC2 should have been much better, not only in the graphics department but gameplay and interactivity. We all need to stop accepting titles with lackluster features. I'm guilty of that too, please stop over hyping games. ZC2 is definitely a step forward but not by much which is pretty sad. Could have been so much better :-/
People are opting to have fun with what we’ve got instead of being miserable and mopey. They’re not guilty of anything whatsoever if they manage to have fun. Have you played Genotype? I feel like people sleep on some of the cooler story based fps games and then complain about there not being any.
@@jakewastaken I completely agree with to certain degree. I own Genotype on PCVR and have over 240 games there, plus around 15-20 games on Quest 3. While Quest does have some hidden gems, I can't help but feel that some developers may either be cutting corners or not putting in enough effort. Maybe the PlayStation 2-style graphics are a stylistic choice, but it's frustrating because we know it can be better. Those hidden gems we have on Quest should serve as a benchmark, showing other developers, like the ones behind ZC2, that gameplay and graphics can reach much higher standards. We should aim for better in VR. Blindly praising games of mediocre quality isn't helpful-we need to demand more if we want to see real improvement.
I think you’re conflating your own opinions with objective analysis while accusing me of “blindly praising mediocre games.” It’s not particularly helpful, and it comes off as both smug and condescending. I’m sure we don’t disagree completely, but I’m pretty sick of this attitude from gamers. As a community, especially in VR, we deserve better discourse than this.
@@jakewastaken Fair point-if I come across as smug, that's not my intention. I just wish we had higher quality, especially since it's been shown to be possible.
I believe we deserve that when we're paying for an experience and would gladly pay more for better games. It looks like we have different viewpoints, but I appreciate the conversation. Thanks for chatting! 😊
