Robinson: The Journey should make it into the top 100. It's on Cryengine, if you edit config file, you can run it in current gen resolution (looks amazing), and the game feels like AAA title. I actually bought the headset after testing its demo. The fact that a flat screen version also was available was just amazing & one of the most memorable VR moments I've ever had happened in that game. Right now I'm working my way through loads of Quest titles, but my backlog is a bit much. Great video by the way!
I know survival isn't your favorite genre and wasn't sure if you were including VR exclusive titles only in this list, but Subnautica absolutely belongs. The storytelling, graphics, and sound design (even though it is now slightly older) are incredible. Sure, it requires a mod to correct minor issues in VR, but it's fantastic nonetheless. I have it in my top10 easily.
Surprisingly a lot of PSVR2 titles in top 20, or at least multi format with PCVR . I think it really shows games on PSVR2 are quality over quantity. Especially now there is very little game development on PCVR. Its such I a shame PSVR2 gets such negative press. But I agree HL Alyx, Lone echo and original asguards Wrath are some of the best VR games of all time. Thanks for this as i'm sure so many hours went in to making the list, it as appreciated.
The problem with psvr2 is a massive lack of sales. 99.9% of the games will be ports moving forward. Even the re4 remake didn't sell enough copies to justify working on the vr version
Solid list except for all of the resident evils. I've never been a fan of any of their games and to put several in the top 20 is insane. I also feel like asgards wrath is just a safe choice that everyone uses.
No man's sky at 49 is a disgrace... Yet, makes complete sense. No man's sky is easily my number 1 game of all time and the reason I got into VR. But.... is really divisive. "I hate this game what's the point" or "This game is a complete universe in VR" The 50ish spot makes sense. 👌
I have sunk a lot of time into NMS, but it's 'wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle'. Sure, there's 80 quadrillion planets, but the game just isn't very deep. It probably deserves a bit higher in this list, though.
@crayroot26 Most games are as wide and as deep as a refreshing glass of water. Hello Games, refills the puddle two or three times a year for free. Plus when you are playing, you feel like you have an ocen of water to run, jump & splash in. The only game that is deep and wide as an ocean is real life.... 😧😱😖.. That's why most play VR.. Life's too big.😉
So im sure a lot will say HL Alyx will always be no 1. Personally I think it's higher that Asguards wrath 1&2, which I think should not be bundled together. It like bundling race car with a skateboard. AW1 was awesome, deffo my no.2 after HL Alyx. AW2 although impressive for quest has not pulled me in and i've found it hard to continue with it as I find it a bit boring. Egypt seems to repetitive unlike the norse realms of AW 1. But as you say it's all subjective. It would be nice to include some racing sims like iRacing, AMS2 and asset corsa, they are off a lot of peoples radar who are not sim races. But AMS2 can be played with controller and is very accessible. more like GT7 skill level. Nice Vid
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Each to their own, I know you love it and thats great. But I really havn't been able to get in to it to be honest. Its not just graphics, I don't like the combat as much as the 1st. (I think the combat in until you fall is better than both) Also I don't particularly like the Egypt setting as much as the norse mythology of the original. Also I got to a game breaking bug about 10 hours in that stopped progression and I couldn't continue, and I really didn't want to start again.
@@GameJunky513 Me too, and a RTX 4070, Quest 3, T-LCM load cell pedals, TH8a shifter, T300, open formula wheel and Next level racing cockpit. I love the GT4 series, racing at zanvoort today. Ive actually got too addicted to it and have to set time limits. I can easily do 5 hours a day and have no social life. I tried em all AC, ACC, AMS2, project cars, dirt rally, F1. iRacing is best for me, with GT7 in PSVR2 for more casual fun as the sport mode is really competitive.
Just a quick side note, I got a Kiwi Design headstrap w/ battery for my Quest 3 and it's one of the best purchases I've made. I don't even use the battery because I mostly use PCVR but even just having it there as a counter weight is infinitely comfier for my neck and the back of my head. Do your body a favor lol, the default Quest head straps are hot ass
Lone Echo 1 & 2 are definitely my favorites. Pretty solid list! I haven't played all of these games but even if I disagree on the order all the ones I have played are very good.
I was in doubt sometimes if this list is really ranked or is it random. Because Green hell is in my personal top 10, but you placed it on the 9x. Come on! Did you really play it? And for my personal Number 1 is Into the radius, because in no any other games I felt so immersed, guns felt so real mechanics so good.
I consider Lone Echo to be a masterpiece and one of the best experiences I've ever had in life and in gaming. I heard the 2nd was riddled with issues though and has a lofty graphics requirement so I never played it after finishing the first game. I might need to take another look. Since Sony are being gimpy regarding PSVR2, I hope the companies that PSVR2 exclusives games that were multiplatform, decide to port it to PC etc as well, because Resident Evil 4 remake, 7 and 8 being PSVR2 only really bothered me.
why does he always say "PCVR" with games like Lone Echo or Asgards Wrath??? Those are meta exclusives, theyre not even on steam and you play with our feelings every single time 😭😭😭 and its not a typo, ive seen it in different videos from different months or years, why do you do that? 😭😭😭
@alvaroluffy1 because I played everyone one of those games on an index. They're not exclusive. You can use revive, virtual desktop or pimax software on any of those games. When I put Rift game there instead of pcvr, people are even more confused
#1 is for me is iRacing (PCVR), which is the ONLY reason I bought a Quest 3. I'm amazed by the gaming ecosystem I'm discovering now because of it, but if I could only play iRacing with my Quest 3 and my wheel and nothing else, I'd buy it again.
You are absolutely right! AW2 would have been a real VR Masterpiece - if Occulus Studio would have designed and released it with modern graphics for PCVR - like the first titel! The mobile version will be in 1,5 years (with the realses of the Quest 4) totaly outdate, because AW2 is designed for the Quest 2! I played AW2 with my new Quest 3 (because of the excitement for the new Hardware) but after one month the game cant hide its "low polyness" anymore ... after that i was blown away as i started Lone Echo 2 - i had totaly forgotten how much better PCVR has looked already in the passt.
Oh, so you're saying its graphics was not totally outdated by release already with its 15 yo PS2/3 graphics? that's already a lot of respect I wouldn't expect from a pcvr fanboy
@@VRnamek No. The Quest 3 was new, the first wireless experience exited, the game free, the desert well chosen for the low poly Quest, and the game mechanics very smooth/enjoying :D ...after one months I couldn't ignore the missing Details anymore. With PCVR Graphics the AW would have been the best VR Game ever made and could have brought a lot of people over the years to VR! ... so nearly no one will touch this massive VR Game in only 1,5 years with the release of the Quest 4 :-( ...it's a real shame!
As you might know, Dungeons of Eternity is number one for me, but I still need to try Legendary Tales. Also, totally different types of games, Racket Club and Puzzling Places are high on my list too.
I can't belive its already been a year since the last one of these videos. Asgards Wrath 2 is truly brilliant. I don't care about the graphical downgrade, everything else about it is just a great time.
Totally disagree with this top 100, where is Microsoft flight sim, DCS , Asetto Corsa. Aero fly FS4? I think you top 100 is based on first person shooters.
We always disagree but like I said, the margin between games is small, it comes down to personal opinion and this was a real struggle. Moving a game 20-30 points would be trivial
Lone Echo 1 and 2 are my alltime favorite VR Games, but I agree with them and Alyx and Asgard's Wrath being in the top 4 together. Theyre so close, that its hard to decide. As for games I think should be mentioned... I dont know if Id put it in the top 100, just because its a super short game at about 3 hours long, but if it was longer, it would definitely rank high. Defector. Its a visually impressive game with an interesting story, and a variety of gameplay mechanics, like dialogue interrogation, FPS, gambling/cheating, high tech gadets, puzzle solving, etc. Overall, a very fun game.
The one im really not onboard with is Horizon Call of the Wild tbh, its just like its flatscreen titles in its praise goes fo its visual fidelity. Other than that its amazingly lackluster and brings literally nothing new to the table and doesnt even do half of its mechanics better than much older titles.
Puzzling Places and Lego Bricktales are both fantastic, and great examples of games that are impossible on flat screen. And that's after having tried to play Brick Tales on a flat screen with every possible control scheme.
I hope you make top 10 th for genres, but enjoyed this list and you have give me things/games to set on my wishlist but noticed a lot of zombi-games in there(not my genre) My #1 game is F1 23 (based on the hours i played it in VR )
Thanks for the great list of games!!! I have most of them since I have been playing VR since CV1... haven't needed to get a PSVR headset.. Will save this video if I need some help to remind me how good all these titles are!!! Great Job!!!
Every time you make one of these, I have to watch it in chunks and write down a list of games that I still haven't played yet. This year, I want to get to "The Gallery 1+2", "Iron Man VR", and "Legendary Tales". Those Top 10 are all amazing games, and very much worth playing. Even if some nitpickers might sort things somewhat differently, those games are definitely a great experience and well worth the time and money.
You should cover spatial video recording, and streaming. With devkit it has been working and would be nice to see this covered as it really could be a game changer for the quest 3 and a new form of streaming. Record IRL videos for 3d, share them or watch someone play a vr game in a vr-esque point of view.

@@Gamingwithmatteo311 At least it gets ports & multi platform, totally understand 1million headsets ain't enough to develop titles
"I hate this game what's the point" or
"This game is a complete universe in VR"
The 50ish spot makes sense.
Nice Vid
Asgard 1 though only has the advantage of graphics. Everything else about the 2nd is better
I bought a cockpit wheel and pedal setup just for iracing. Worth every penny. Best sim racer I've played to date and I've played them all.
I tried em all AC, ACC, AMS2, project cars, dirt rally, F1. iRacing is best for me, with GT7 in PSVR2 for more casual fun as the sport mode is really competitive.
no eleven table tennis?
With the PC VR adapter for psvr2 on the horizon, this was exactly what I was looking for. 10/10
I can’t wait to play HL Alyx with it, though I’m upgrading my pc at the moment to be ready too!
As of lately, been playing a lot of Miracle Pool locally in mixed reality.
Lone echo ran without issue for me both revive and airlink
Modded fallout 4 vr can be pretty good the vanilla game has issues but you should try modding it apart from that i agree with the list
Just cleared up my schedule for the next 50mins.. lol I hope too see you in the video. The games are cool too see as well I guess
I show in every video but this one
Superb video! Have you thought about mentioning Freeland? It’s coming soon!
If I have to use the joystick to move, I'd rather play it on a monitor. Teleporting from time to time is fine for me, though.
why does he always say "PCVR" with games like Lone Echo or Asgards Wrath??? Those are meta exclusives, theyre not even on steam and you play with our feelings every single time 😭😭😭 and its not a typo, ive seen it in different videos from different months or years, why do you do that? 😭😭😭
@alvaroluffy1 because I played everyone one of those games on an index. They're not exclusive. You can use revive, virtual desktop or pimax software on any of those games. When I put Rift game there instead of pcvr, people are even more confused
sad that broken edge didnt make the list even tho it is obv better than most of the games in this list
it is atleast top 20
Good but not great game
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 🤷♂️
sadly Arisona Sunshine 2 still crashes at least every hour when i try to play it on PSVR2
Great list! but i think blade and sorcery scores a lot higher now after their end update !
Great list, but I gotta say not mentioning FNaF: Help Wanted is cruel
a short list mentioned in the video:
* Table of Tales (for tabletop Adventure fans)
* Takelings House Party (party game with asymmetrical experience)
* Journey of the Gods (role playing game)
* Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (puzzle game)
* Sniper Elite VR (shooter game)
* Green Hell (survival game)
* Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (fantasy action game)
* Frack! (action game)
* Stranger Things VR (storytelling game)
* Trover Saves the Universe (platforming Adventure game)
* Hellsplit Arena (physics based combat game)
* Swordsman VR (physics-based Arena fighter game)
* Jurassic World Aftermath (action-adventure horror game)
* Cities: VR (city building game)
* Walkabout Mini Golf (sports game)
* The Gallery (puzzle game)
* Pistol Whip (rhythm shooter game)
* Westworld Awakening (horror game)
* Rec Room (social application)
* Vertigo 1 and 2 (action game)
* Resident Evil Village (action game)
* Echo Series (storytelling game)
* Half-Life: Alyx (shooter game)
* Asgard's Wrath (action-adventure game)
I'm surprised Table of Tales isn't mentioned more often. I love it!
credibility out the widow ranking no man's sky that far down.... laughable
@rustyshackleford8063 hence the statement these games are all incredibly close in their scores and can be moved around freely
who says everyone wants campaigns over roguelikes? where are these people?
vr was made for roguelikes
Pretty much everyone is sick of roguelikes
Awesome!!!Big Like 🙏🏼🖤
42:10 resident Evil 7 VR hasn't been released for PC .. it's only on PSVR1
Typo
#1 is for me is iRacing (PCVR), which is the ONLY reason I bought a Quest 3. I'm amazed by the gaming ecosystem I'm discovering now because of it, but if I could only play iRacing with my Quest 3 and my wheel and nothing else, I'd buy it again.
For me the best game for visitors is CRISIS BRIGADE 2
I am surprised starwars a tales from a galaxys edge didnt make it
It bored me
My only issue with this list is ranking pavlov over contractors
Im with you, I cant get in to AW2 after playing AW1 just before release
Oh, so you're saying its graphics was not totally outdated by release already with its 15 yo PS2/3 graphics? that's already a lot of respect I wouldn't expect from a pcvr fanboy
@@VRnamek Maybe you please rephrase, Im not sure what you are saying. I'm just saying I enjoyed Asguards wrath 1 more than Asguards wrath 2.
I had just high hopes for hubris but the controls were meh
As you might know, Dungeons of Eternity is number one for me, but I still need to try Legendary Tales. Also, totally different types of games, Racket Club and Puzzling Places are high on my list too.
I can't belive its already been a year since the last one of these videos.
Asgards Wrath 2 is truly brilliant. I don't care about the graphical downgrade, everything else about it is just a great time.
Totally disagree with this top 100, where is Microsoft flight sim, DCS , Asetto Corsa. Aero fly FS4? I think you top 100 is based on first person shooters.
I think yours is based off of sims
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🫳🏿 purrr meow meow bish!@@Gamingwithmatteo311
RE7 with the PCVR Tag is kind of insulting, since capcom gives only official VR support for PSVR
It's an error
The modder Preydog has made quality vr mods for all the RE engine games on pc, check it out if you want to play RE 7 in vr on pc it's there
I play it on pcvr praydog mod and still better than psvr1.the motion control make a big difference
I really do think onward should be higher on this list, so upsetting to see my favourite vr game die.
Brookhaven experiment is my number one
I personally feel superhot should’ve been higher
My #1 is easily Blade & Sorcery by a longshot
This list got me worked up bc of how much I disagree with the ordering. I'm not making one of these videos though. Hell no.
And that's after having tried to play Brick Tales on a flat screen with every possible control scheme.
my favorite vr game ever is game called Rumble VR
Your just mental! I love it!
Such a useful list of games mate! Whenever I think about purchasing a new game, I'll come back to this list. Thank you!
Glad to hear it
Blood & truth was the first vr game i played that i loved. Very old now as was on psvr1, but was a great story driven shooter
why not start from number 1, and also exclude all dead games :D
Who would ever start from number 1, that means the list gets more boring as it goes on. I also do drop the dead games every year
Every time you make one of these, I have to watch it in chunks and write down a list of games that I still haven't played yet.
The minute u put squadron over saints and sinners u lost a subscriber😢
lol its a one position difference and the SS2 super janky release left me a little jaded
The segways were so cringe, but in a good way. Love the video, discovered some gems even though I thought I already knew about all of them.
The most popular comment is how good the seaways are
Fantastic! I’m a Newbie Here but This Review is Top Dollar. Thank You!
Anytime but this is last years video. Checked the pinned message for an update
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Ok it Computes. Thank You!
You should cover spatial video recording, and streaming. With devkit it has been working and would be nice to see this covered as it really could be a game changer for the quest 3 and a new form of streaming. Record IRL videos for 3d, share them or watch someone play a vr game in a vr-esque point of view.
Also hello puppets, duck season, and the fnaf help wanted games should’ve been on this list
@@samiallawati nah :)
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 damn :,)
44:41 and again, Lone Echo isn't on PC, it's Oculus rift and rifts only.. it isn't on PC
That's pc and it's playable on any pcvr headset via revive. I've played all of these games on an index. When I write Rift people get confused
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 Can you play Lone Echo 1 & 2 on Meta Quest 3 via Virtual desktop with it? I've never heard of Revive? (I'm not doubting you, I just haven't heard of it) is it an official app or some kind of mod? I'd love to have a go at Lone Echo 1 or 2
@coolmacatrain9434 yes you can play any pcvr game on quest 2 or 3 via airlink, virtual desktop or steam link for steam games. Revive is a 3rd party app

Too bad the Team Beef and HL2 ports aren't official, otherwise they would be high on my list
