How has it taken me 12 years to discover this gem? These three wonderful performers are a whole production number in themselves. And, what about those original Phil Lang orchestrations? Terrific concept!
I'm hearing everyone talk about the movie version, but does anyone know how good the Original Broadway Production of Hello Dollly was!! I mean Carol Channing was Dolly! Don't get me wrong I love Michael Crawford, but he's my third favorite Cornelius, John Barrowman being second because he absolutely killed It Only Takes A Moment, and Charles Nelson Reilly being my first because not only did he originated the role of Cornelius Hackl, but his performance in my mind cannot be beaten.
Boston Pops concert honouring Jerry Herman musicals with Marin Mazzie, John Barrowman and Faith Prince from a few years back. there are many clips on youtube showing the other songs.
Note for Marin Mazzie: With a mouth like that, I could have devoured all of Paris and most of Europe. I found it very interesting, and endearing, that she didn't cover her teeth with her lips like most singers do.
John Barrowman is all wrong for this song - The song is about an older woman who wants one last chance at love before she dies. John Barrowman's too young.
redtulips really? I'm 31 and just had cysts removed from my spine hoping that physical therapy works. After a year of literally waiting to rejoin the world again I'm ready to try my hardest before life leaves me and my youth behind. Songs are there for any interpretation and this song is exactly how I'm feeling right now.
What a voice, what looks, why is John so under rated. He is the best musicals performer there is.
He is a Queen...and sometimes.. that's Not what a Role needs.
Truly an exceptional experience... all three of them especially John!
John Barrowman is very good musical performer
Barrowman makes me so ridiculously happy.
He is a mega-star in the UK, but really an unknown in the US. Very sad, because he is an unbelievable talent.
No longer unknown. We know John and we love him!
Saw him on A&E channel back in the '90s singing "Strike up the Band". Also, every episode of Torchwood. Yes, right here in Austin Texas...

Not meaning to be churlish, but Carol Channing was just awful. Which is why she never got the part in the film.

John Barrowman AND hello dolly. Shut up! best thing ever!
As I recall, this was a PBS special with the Boston Pops. It is not yet released, and I am not aware of plans to release it.
Take that chance... Show yourself, even if its for yourself
Don't miss that one chance!!
RIP, Marin 💔
omg i love him
It's from "Hello, Dolly!"
Don't know if I agree. I have listed to John and Michael back-to-back on several numbers. I think John has a better voice overall.
11 anos depois, estou escutando de novo...
good arrangement
I was talking about this kind of tribute in which Mazzie, Barrowman, etc are singing Herman´s songs... does anybody knows?
5 People let the parade pass by.

Am I wrong or Marin Mazzie and Faith Prince were together in "Falsettos"?
I think Carolee Carmello was in Falsettos.
Who is that orchestra in the back? Is that the Boston Pops?
THIS IS JOHN BARROWMAN?
gd apart from dat last note but i luv jb sooooooooo much xxxxxxx
can someone tell me please which show is this?
Their voices don’t blend but individually v good - Faith Prince would have been a great choice for the recent revival
Then Barbra Streisand at 27 was far too young but was brilliant
So who are the two ladies?
Faith Prince and the late Main Mazzie, two of the best
Marin Mazzie does a fantastic job with this song. When she is done singing the whole performance goes decidedly downhill. It's too bad.

***** I agree he's awful. John Barrowman has a good voice, but he completely misses the sentiment of the song.

Sohny Pictures that's what I'm saying :)
Who cares? It's NOT a staged production. It's merely 3 accomplished singers singing their hearts out. You are too limited in your perceptions.
I think he's very right for this. I'm 67 and had to jolt myself back into life.
I can identity with this.
hate to be the simon cowell here, but that was a painful rendition.
