Not really. Hardcore is not a sub-genre of Metal. It is an own genre with own sub-genres. And the mix genres like Metal-and Deathcore are musically a mix of course, but the scenes as a whole definitely belong more in the Core-category.
Melodeath is death metal shot by power metal
It’s if Death Metal and Power Metal(some would argue heavy metal) had a child that kicked massive ass while being slightly silly and over the top at times
Bands that mix Melodeath and Power Metal tho
I mean, it's true. Children of Bodom especially for that.
Babymetal has forever changed me...
❤🤘🦊🤘❤️
As a sabaton fan Viking metal is what keeps me half alive
You did a bit a few months ago about different types of metal fans. I asked what your thoughts were on sypmhonic metal and power metal fans so I guess this sort of answers my question. Now I'll be off to drink some wine from a kawaii glass while walking through a peaceful elf village and get kicked in the balls by a dragon for asking what destroyed the neighboring elf village :-p
Holy fuck! I am in tears laughing at this, it was phenomenal!
"VIKING METAL BURNED THE VILLAGE" is the most accurate on this list
That nu metal comment is so true, I got into limp bizkit and now I’m obsessed with metal of all genres
Enlightenment achieved.
Industrial metal is great because of that "can be fun and depressing" vibe - its there for whichever I need it for
Sabaton :the Time travel who can ball more then the doctor (Dr who)
I am a Christian and not really a fan of Metal, but I like Sabbaton because of history. They have a song about Milunka Savic in ww1, really cool.
This is the most accurate description of the differences between metal genres I've ever heard.
Nu-Metal has some great bands in the subgenre. It's just everybody's favorite whipping boy.
I've been caught in the snare of nu-metal for like over a year now (basically just listening to system of a down on repeat) but someday I'll eventually branch out
