When you knew it was Christmas, by the TV ad's, rather than todays Christmas ad's featuring not festive people. I think you all know what I mean these days. Its heartbreaking to think that these adverts are from an era long gone , along with the innocents of youth and the magic of Christmas . Times have changed too much , everything now is designer or nothing . The new generations of youth are greedy , ungrateful narcissists .

I miss when Christmas ads were unapologetically festive. Nowadays they tone them down and make them subversive in order to not offend anyone. It's ludicrous

Looking at what old Boots used to stock compared to now is dramatic - went in the other day and they have nothing like the things they show in these old ads.
Every time I see the oxo family adverts it makes me miss redfern and Bellingham to say both are no longer with us but another great compilation as usual just in time for the Christmas shopping season.

Remember my Dad saying "You'll need at least three coats" Only one was needed :)

12 mince pies for 99p at Asda.. those were days. The spot where our local Woolworths store used to be is now a Poundland store. It doesn't hold the same magic..

We still get a Christmas edition of TV Times each year, just because it looks Christmassy on the coffee table.

A few old favourites in here. The Croft Original Sherry adverts always told me it was Christmas.

I remember wanting to paint my room black, but my mum was a solid no. I boarded up my windows instead. It was a strange goth/moody phase in my teens.
