Hi, i was wondering if you could see if siri gets activated with steering control while in carplay. Also what do you think is the bootup time? I read somewhere it is around 40 seconds which is alot to sit in the car as it won’t even switch on the reverse camera till then.

did you ever have issues with your center scroll wheel not working? i 95% got my unit setup and installed but when i went to test the scroll wheel it didnt seem to work on the android side of things. any ideas of if its something that I need to adjust in my settings?
I couldn't tell you for sure as this was for a friend of mine and he has traded the car since the install. I do remember it working on the stock system but not sure if it worked on the android. And he didn't report any issues so...can't tell you for sure. Try to go into the factory settings. There are a lot of settings there.
I found this unit on Ebay, I just looked and ebay and found this, but you would have to check with the seller if it's compatible with your car. I had to contact the seller. He was the same seller for my own BMW f10 screen which had the same factory settings passcode. I believe all ugode android screens would have the same code. But whoever you buy it from can provide you that code.
@@nyst8fmind Appreciate this info. I bought mine from NaviFly on Aliexpress last month. The same day I had it installed in my CL550, I had to drop my car off at the shop, so I never got the chance to explore all the features. Still waiting to get my car back so I can use these tips.

I don't have it in front of me now, but I believe it's within factory settings inside the android system setup.

Why can't I get the audio of my movies or music to come out? If the audio comes out of the radio, browser etc, but not from Android, can you help me?
Where do you play your movies from, do you have the aux cable connected, do you have aux source selected on the bmw infotainment side?

No, no issues at all, I usually use it with either music, movies playing from a USB thumb drive, or the TH-cam App, no issue at all.
