I have a question. What about cars with the burmester sound? Will it still have the quality of the "surround" option or is it going to sound different. Also, if you stream TH-cam directly from the screen, will it lag? I know if you "mirror" it from your phone and use Bluetooth for sound, it'll lag.. Thanks
What happens if you hit the physical 'Tel' button on the dash? Will that run the Android phone app or the native phone app? Or can you choose? Also is it possible to make the screen start, say Google Maps, and Phone app in split screen automatically when the ignition is turned on? Thanks!
It depends on your prefered setting that you chose in system setting menu. You can choose OEM or android just like the navigation. I do not know if you can have it default to split screen.
Installed and no sound, Tried everything. Harmon Kardon system is not easy. Tried setting up and using AMI AUX (turned on) still no sound. 2014 GL350 x166
@@Aki-fk6qn thanks for responding so quickly. Yes I did that and even went into the engineering profile on the MB radio and turn the aux on. Sitting in the car as I speak. Third day of screwing with this thing I'm about ready to take it out and call it a day. Reading on some forums they said the only practical way to do it is to hook up a aftermarket amp to the speakers. Love the concept but I'm totally at a loss on this one. from what I understand if I had the standard radio it would be a breeze but because I have the Harman kardon that creates its own set of issues
@@ELCEV Ive just purchase this for my 2010 E class NGT 4.0, ive have no sound tried everything on TH-cam nothings working tried all settings, all wires are correct still no joy.
In the Video mode: Why is a video picture streched to the max width of the screen? That looks awful. That would be a reason for not buying it. Thanks for a short reply.
Yes if the video is not encoded using the right size, it will look stretched. On the unit on my BMW when I play TH-cam video it looks fine, but for videos I put on the thumb drive I had to edit them using the right specs for my screen, it was a hassle but not an issue for me. So it depends on your tolerance and what usage you have for the unit.
Yeah anyone buying this model for NTG5.0 got duped. Its not even like its the cars faults its the lack of after sales support. All we need is a new harness and a lead for and aux microphone! Also, unlocking the bluetooth! @@andraecarter76

Yes pretty much I believe all of them worked as intended. I didn't check every single on of them, but my friend hasn't reported any issues.

You may need to connect the two orange fiber optic cables to the source
