I am blown away each time I watch Charles Bradley. I imagine he is a hard band leader to play for, but when the result is this you can forgive the occasional raised voice and four letter word. I am only guessing though, he might be the mellowest chap on Earth for all I know.
Look at him, he just turned all the hardships and abuses of his life into an inspiring art form, humble and kind and passionate artist. May you rest in peace, brother. Love and respect from Burma!

I had the pleasure of seeing Charles at the Noordsea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam live. He was amazing on stage and its a shame that that was the first time i ever heard of him.
Should be at the top of the charts! But he's not,and I'm fine with that! He's doin his music his way free from the tangled cuffs of huge commercial fame! A legend in my mind with music that's on the soundtrack of my life and in my heart. The Screaming Eagle of Soul and the Menahan Street Band, soar miles above the rest!
Saw them in Munich this week as George Benson's support act. The announcent was as cool as in the video, and so was the whole show! I'm jealous of Brenneck's guitar style...
