Hey guys! This song was requested by my husband, who every once in awhile gets a say in the song selections. 😉 Tell me what you think of Children of Bodom and if I should listen to more.

Did you know about their cover of Ooops I did it again? keep that idea for a future reaction.
Well as "Britney" You HAVE to listen "Oops I did it again" by Children of BodomI!!!
Honestly one of the music deaths i took really hard. RIP Alexi
The metal community, and the music community in general lost of the greatest/innovative guitarists of all time. R.I.P. Alexi
do more of children of bodom please, this band is so perfect
Another great band I've heard of but never listened to until now. Thank you and your husband Nikki.

Hey Brit, Quinn from Freeze the Fall is a big Children of Bodom fan so I had to watch this. I also knew nothing about them. Very cool! Thanks to the hubs as well🤘🔥🎸
“Bed of Razors” by COB 🤘🏻
Yes, more COB 🤘
Nice reaction as always your reactions.
Rest in peace Alexi ❤
RIP Alexi
Thank you for this!❤... COB might not be for everyboby but nice reaction! Thank you one for time and greetings from Finland! (by Nightwish fan since 1998)
I just wanted to say, I really enjoyed your different themes for Rocktober. Love the different outfits and themes. The song and the reaction are amazing as well. Hopefully we'll see more Children of Bodom reactions. RIP Alexi.
Aw thank you so much, that means a lot. ☺️ I put their cover of Oops I Did It Again in the poll for this week. 😁 Many people suggested it so I had to give it a whirl. 😂
nice, just saw youre gonna react to children of bodom had to come and watch :D rip alexi lead guitar and vocals
That was awesome. I'd never heard a live version of that song. Keep on exploring!
Hello Britney reviews. Nice reaction. Alexi really was one hell of a guitarist. COB didn't take themselves too seriously. there was a lot of humour involved. RIP Alexi. Have you done Scaretale of Nightwish yet? There is a lot of spooky halloween-vibes there.
i saw them so many times live
3 times, first time was at 90's.
i was born 91 =D@@Gibbetoo
heavy metal for ever :D@@NaX619
Aye SIr
has youre dressing has britney you should listen to ups i did it again cover by children of bodom :)
the intro was the latter part of Bodom After Midnight/Bodom Beach Terror from their 2006 live album
The amount of people actually believing this is not planned is something else.
Watch lake bodom live from the same show, it’s a musical masterpiece so perfectly synced between Alexi & Janne
I remember meeting him in 2010 at Bloodstock open air he was a really laid-back guy. It was really heartbreaking when he died from alcohol abuse, but I honestly believe that his mental health is getting better before he died. He seemed at least like he was happier.
Well that's something anyway. 🤷♀️ But it is a shame.. that's cool that you got to meet him though. 🖤
@@nikkireviews but I think he was basically using alcohol to cope with his problems which is not a very good thing to do. I wish she had just given it up and focused more on guitar playing.
Definitely more CoB. I like their studio recordings more, but these live videos are great too. And don't let Alexi fool you with his swearing and aggressive style, he was a nicest guy according to people who have met him. He was not restricted to this one genre, but he had a lot of projects and cover bands + classical background.
For more Symphonic Black Metal I suggest that you check out Dimmu Borgir. A good song to start is Mourning Palace (Forces of the Northern Night). For more Power Metal you should see Battle Beast and Sonata Arctica. There are so many great bands you should see.
nice reaction, keep up good reactions🥰
Thank you so much! ☺
rip alexi laiho
Hail to the husb :))))
Alexi was great ,funny guy shame he's gone
Majestuosos, épic
I would like to introduce you to a band called Kalmah. Another Melodic Death Metal band from Finland. I reckon if you like CoB (one of my favourite bands) you'll most probably like them. Check out The Black Waltz.
Recomend this music of Children Of Bodom - Ooops I Did It Again?!
Hi Nikki, greetings from UK @nikkireviews
35??? WOW! I think you look AT LEAST 10 years younger than that 😁
you really should check out the song called soon departed (2019) by them. it's an appropriate one for rocktober. you may also check out roundtrip to hell and back (2011) and everytime i die (2000).
You look like halloween is here :) Kidding :)
You're right, it's Boe-dum
Seen em live. It was better but still flawless
That's cool :)
"I did it again" please
Even if it doesn't win I'll definitely do it soon cause I'm dying to know what it sounds like. 😂
Check out In Flames - Take This Life
🗡️ it's a good way to die ✝️
enjoy, beloved
take care & thanks for sharing
A rather poor introduction to Children of Bodom... I would rather classify them as a mix of classic thrash & speed metal w/ keyboards. They had quite a few mainstream influences (Speaking of Britney Spears... Children of Bodom covered "Oops, I did it again" 😂 on a covers album 'Skeletons in the closet' in 2009... ironic)
Formed in Finland by (the late) lead guitarist/ vocalist Alexi Laiho in the early 90's, they named themselves by 1996 after the notorious Lake Bodom murders in 1960, where 3 teens were killed while camping there... it remains an unsolved case to date. By 1997, the band included Henkka 'Blacksmith' Seppala (bass), Jasta Raatikainen (drums), Janne Wirman (keyboards) and Alexander Kuoppala (guitar).
Children of Bodom were signed by Finnish label Spinefarm Records (who also signed Nightwish) and released their debut album 'Something wild' in 1997... The band's explosive live shows and touring in Europe led to more successful records - 'Hatebreeder' (1999) and 'Follow the Reaper' (2000)... The band also toured Japan and then set their sights on North America.
'Hate crew deathroll' (2003) became Children of Bodom's most successful album to date, topping the Finnish charts and landing the band for a full world tour across N. America... Roope Latvala (guitar) did the touring and joined the band, replacing Alexander Kuoppala.
Their 2005 album 'Are you dead yet?' became a huge success, charting #1 in Finland again... making the US charts at #195 and putting Children of Bodom on a major world tour either as a support band or headliners.
This live video was filmed on that tour and released as a live album + DVD - 'Chaos ridden years: Stockholm knockout live' in 2006.
Subsequent albums were even more successful... 'Blooddrunk' (2008)... 'Relentless reckless forever' (2011) and 'Halo of blood' (2013).
Unfortunately, things for the band seemed to take a bad turn... guitarist Roope Latvala was out of the band when Children of Bodom released "I worship chaos" (2015) which took a more commercial sound. Daniel Freyberg (guitar) joined the band, but frontman Alexi Laiho's own reckless lifestyle was causing concern within the band.
Their last album 'Hexed' was released in 2019 and the band announced that year that Children of Bodom would play their final show late that year as Henkka, Janne and Jasta split w/ Alexi Laiho.
In 2020, Alexi Laiho relaunched the band as Bodom After Midnight w/ Daniel Freyberg (guitar) and new members and was working on a new album. In late 2020, the new broke that Alexi Laiho had passed away from complications at age 41 (R.I.P.)
I suggest a few better songs to check out by Children of Bodom - 'Needled 24/7' ... 'Are you dead yet?' ... 'Every time
Hyvin sanottu
Dressing up as Britney to watch CoB, but not watching the part where they play Oops... in the same show as a joke.
What a waste lol
Couldnta known! 🙈
@@nikkireviews watched the reaction right after posting this 🤣
Hilarious 🤘
RIP Alexi
