  • Nobody had a career like Arn Anderson. For more than three decades he has been the epitome of “old school.” Hear him as you’ve never heard him before every Tuesday at 6am Eastern as you gives you a peak behind the curtain for the first time ever. Each week Conrad Thompson will examine Arn’s days in the territories, becoming an Anderson, creating the Four Horsemen in the NWA, becoming a Hall of Famer, and being a producer behind the scenes for years for WWE proving “The Enforcer” has a story unlike anyone else. Known for his trademark Spinebuster and incredible “promos” in front of the camera, it’s his timing and wit that has kept “the boys” in stitches behind the scenes. Hear for yourself why ARN is the new “symbol of excellence” in professional wrestling podcasting exclusively on Westwood One Podcast Network, Tuesdays at 6am Eastern.

Yes , I agree with you on that. Arn is a BOSS with CLASS. Arn asked how he seems more popular today than during his active wrestling years. It is because he was REAL to the sport and will always be respected for that. Many of these cartoonish characters created by the writers in the past few years will quickly be forgotten.

I am TOTALLY into Arn as the Coach of the Nightmare Family! That covering his
mouth with a piece of paper to guard against lip reading is HILARIOUS! I don't know how long he's going to be an "on air" presence in AEW but I'm enjoying every moment of it! That is until someone makes him "God" without telling me about it!

ABSOULTE FACTS he is on of the greatest ever and one of if not the most over LOOKED ever!!!! The reason why DOUBLE A IS recognized these days as a great WRESTLER is because his style that he is one of the best ever at , he damn near perfected the man's man of technical WRESTLING and there is no one even close 2 HIS ability these days in technical WRESTLING. HE is the mentor of the person who attempts to carry that rugged man's man physical wrestling style (;CODY Rhodes) , Arn HAS helped him a lot and maybe cody will be able to carry that LEGACY of the legends like DOUBLE A

Arn was seen more as the Tag Team guy with Tully Blanchard, or Ric Flair. He was a guy that faced Champions like Hogan & Sting.

he was a big part and i in all sincerity do appreciate each of the guys that left a mark on my childhood. them going to work everyday being so motivated to succeed and pushing hard in their careers and in the gym,i appreciate how hard the work must of been and the time away from home,to give some people who maybe got a bit of a raw deal outta life, plenty of childhood memories when it was safe and more innocent etc to look back on. it hurts a little each time you go back on youtube and watch something from back then trying to recapture the feeling, but he is right,we see it again thru different eyes and it means a whole new thing to us.many people will never understand how wrestling could be an important piece in someones life, and thats unfortunate for them...

Arn is cool as ever. I truly think that he could have slid into the opposition spot against Flair as he's the personality and working counterpoint. A definite contrast. Either way, he and Tully were such technicians that their benchmark for tag wrestling is still the standard to me. A team so good that even McMahon didn't touch a thing.

I never regret watching wrestling at a young age.NWA was a fighting atmosphere where championships can be took at any given day.And while you're watching, you notice the guys & girls and separate them in categories in what they can do.I always thought guys like Arn,Sting, Tom Zenk,Eddie Gilbert,Ricky Steamboat, etc. were milestones. While WWF had a different feel to wrestling.Other promotions like NWA,USWA,etc. created that fighting atmosphere with who they have and make it work for show. Thanks, Arn and all others alive or no longer with us.The artform may change but it will survive.

This is when the television title was truly more of a world title, and was presented on television as exactly what its referred to as, a television title, a title that was defended on tv,was defended often times every week, & was defended at the end of the show to a tv time limit usually, and I see it as a title that does two things it makes you able to have a world title on the program that week without havi g the world title on tv that week, which also makes you able to protect the champion even more & make it more special when the champ does come on tv, even to talk, to get in the ring time to time,in a tag match, or in a 10 minute time limit match etc, with an enhancement talent or someone a notch above that, like say a Tim Horner a Brad Armstrong,Flair could take on a Dusty protege like Sam Houston etc...

Arn, you will always be number 1 in the fan's heart. You are the icon of a World Television Champion. I am well within the mark when I say the Bookers goofed. When Flair was gone, you were the perfect heel for a babyface to chase. Arn had all the qualities of a heel World Champ. The Enforcer was an ace at promos and knew how to draw fans from tv ratings to putting butts in the seats, Double-A never sell your self short of stardom. Wish I was the booker, you would have been a big over. The wrestling students always ask me which pro should I watch. Arn you are always in the top 5 and the other 4 are awesome as well. Thank You ARn for all the wonderful years of wrestling you provided to our entertainment. We truly appreciate you!

One thing that never gets mention about Arn Anderson's career that I would love to hear him talk about his his run with Larry Zbysko. Their run was not long. But they were an awesome tag team. They were WCW World tag team champions and the 1991 PWI tag team of the year. They had amazing chemistry both in the ring and on the stick, and were extremely over as a heal team.

I always had a huge amount of respect for the "TV Champ". I remember when Piper "gave" the title to Flair and Flair explained to Piper how much the TV title meant to the sport and if he earned it he would be proud to wear it. That clip is still on TH-cam to this day.

7:03 - 7:25 That gave me chills, man. I can't imagine how moments like that must feel to a guy who gave his whole life to the business. I remember being that kid who wanted to grow up and become a professional wrestler. Guys like Arn were larger than life. After you retire and move on thinking you're a regular guy, something like that happens and just makes you feel like a king. These new young guys don't really capture that type of emotion from the young fans because it doesn't feel authentic like it used to. A gimmick like Mr. Perfect or Razor Ramon would be defined as corny by today's wrestling standards because the business has gotten too damned silly. Back then, those guys felt like superheroes. Great feeling.

NWA/WCW World Television Champions. You're in fine company and although you are completely at peace with that you had EVERYTHING it takes to be the main man. You're a humble honest guy and for your fans it makes the pill that much more bitter to swallow that you never got the run you deserved. Deserved is a brilliant word here.

I fully understand what Arn meant about a 6 yr old kid Showing the Four Horsemen sign .. Im ve been a Professional musician 28+ yrs . It always amazes me when someone who was a kid yrs ago remembers me n introduces me to their children saying "I play guitar because of him ,or recalling me n with dads n moms in performances together . Or even go back to a town I haven t played for years ...IDK what effect I had on them . I only pray it s good n give them a Madison Square Garden type show , be it onstage ,or street shows, sessions ,or event ( busking ) working USA s east coast .. Arn podcasts very real , very truthful , esp the on the rod life styles n finding GOOD hotels ! THANKS Mr . ANDERSON !

When I was a kid teen I was all about that flash shit. As a grown man I'm more in tune with a good brawler a good technical guy like Arn. I'm a bigger fan of Arn's now than I was the horsemen when I was younger. We need more guys like Arn. Never doing a flip never doing a stupid spot that every other guy does. How different he would seem now. The best thing any wrestler could do is go against the grain. Be different if people are highflyers in a territory it isn't special so be a ground and pound guy. Keep them on the ground. You knwo what happens when they do hit that flying move people will pop. Being a boring heel who keeps people down with a power move and some lock or just pounding the guy. That is heat but it also makes the babyface when they get their shit in bigger.

Arn Anderson and the 4 Horsemen did a lot as a role model for young black boys where I grew up.This was during the child not really having a father in the home era. And there weren't really any men teaching young boys how to be men with morals back then. So here comes this no nonsense guy that said it like he spread it. Was a winner and a whoop ass!!!
