He was truly amazing, but I still scratch my head how he looked so fit, happy and healthy in 68 and 9 years later, gone, very sad, but always gave 100 percent

I'm 27yrs old and I love Elvis Presley! I came across your channel yesterday and I've seen almost all your videos but of course my favorites are the Elvis videos. He's just so amazing and was a very generous kind man. His music everything about him is amazing. Which inspired me to be an Elvis Tribute Artist to pay tribute to him. In no way I would ever fill his shoes or ever will be another Elvis. But I love the faces on people face when they see me perform. Love when older folks tell me stories about Elvis. He will always be the greatest ever.
I was raised in Mississippi and have now returned. Elvis was a Mississippi boy. His entire family were good people. As a young man I knew his Uncle Vester. Of course he is long gone. He was E's chief of security at Graceland for a time.The first time I was at Graceland I was a 17 year old high school senior in Memphis to take the test for a 3rd class FCC Radiotelehone license which was required in those days to be a D.J. That was the best time to see Graceland. I'll leave it at that. Keep up the good work.

Fun fact on this performance. They planned this to add in “live” material to his comeback TV special, which was mostly studio production. Even though they planned it with a live audience, what they did was go out on the studio lot and raided people standing in line for other TV show audiences. The girls had no idea they were getting a front seat to a very intimate and historic performance.
I love watching you fall in love with Elvis. So great. The circular stage jam of the ‘68 Comeback Special may be the single greatest live performance, by a rock artist, of all time.

@@DaniAtkinson I went to Graceland last yr. Boy, when we turned on Elvis Presley Blvd.-your heart is already racing and shortly down on the left was Graceland. They shuttled us across and going thru the gates and on the driveway--we just lost. It is so big!!! I have pictures and everything. We were there for 4 hrs. and still didn't get to see everything. It is SO huge. We seen all his jumpsuits, planes, ect. You'll enjoy it!!!

Yes, Elvis had the raw rock vocals heard here and when he first started with songs like Jailhouse Rock and he could also be a smooth crooner like in Are you lonesome tonight and he also had an operatic quality all throughout his career. Very vocally versatile.

You need to react to My Way from both 1973 Aloha from Hawaii and 1977 his last concert done just 6 weeks before his death. The 77 version will make you cry because he states that he didn't know the words and that he needs to read them and yet he did the song in 73.

Whats amazing is that he wanted to call of the show at the last minute. The director told him people were out there waiting for him. He was so nervous after not performing since 60 or 61. You'd never know it. He owned that stage..

@@DaniAtkinson I went to Graceland last yr. Boy, when we turned on Elvis Presley Blvd.-your heart is already racing and shortly down on the left was Graceland. They shuttled us across and going thru the gates and on the driveway--we just lost. It is so big!!! I have pictures and everything. We were there for 4 hrs. and still didn't get to see everything. It is SO huge. We seen all his jumpsuits, planes, ect. You'll enjoy it!!!
@@DaniAtkinson Going to Graceland is a must. The moment I walked through the front door it felt personal. Like he might walk down the stairs at any moment. My sons wanted to go. We had a great time.

You need to react to My Way from both 1973 Aloha from Hawaii and 1977 his last concert done just 6 weeks before his death. The 77 version will make you cry because he states that he didn't know the words and that he needs to read them and yet he did the song in 73.

My parents had the original recordings, I believe I still have them in a box somewhere up there in my Attic. I love your shirt baby girl. Whats amazing is that he wanted to call of the show at the last minute. The director told him people were out there waiting for him. He was so nervous after not performing since 60 or 61. You'd never know it. He owned that stage..
