I have both but didn't realize that SSDI is tax FREE? I was "lucky" to have been approved for SSDI immediately after the first application. It only took a few months for the approval. I say "lucky" which is sad because my husband is also disabled and he has been denied twice already. No tax paying citizen should be denied when the need is clearly there and has been medically proven. We have paid into the system for decades after years of payroll tax deductions. SSDI shouldn't be that difficult to be approved, when clearly an American tax paying citizen is in need of financial assistance. It's not right.
Are you a disabled veteran as well? Did you just submit your medical records with your application? I’m curious because I’m in the process of applying myself
@@lionelmcmillon6361 Disabled veteran here. SSA will let you know what they need from you, notifying you via letter in the mail. The same as VA, they'll send you to an exam, like a C&P exam. Send your application in online or through your local office.
I've been on SSDI since 1996 , but never have an increase rate , now of days I do not believe I receive the amount I should to compensate with expenses now of days. Any suggestions?😊😊
Why did you say that SSDI is tax free? It isn't. There's a chart describing how much SSDI is taxed based on your income. With a maximum amount of 85% of your income which could be taxed. Is that correct?
It depends on your overall income (single/married) and if you've exceeded a certain threshold. It's best to talk to an Accountant to see how your individual situation falls.
i email you guys, contact through he website, and tell you to email, not call, because i live out of country. 70%, had to disability retire from my DoD Federal job because of the issues with my 70%, i cant work again, and want to apply for TDIU. Hardest part so far is just getting a response from you. Get on the ball, or just tell me here. At least I might get a response here.
This man gives the plainest, most understandable explanation of benefits period!! Great video Thank you🇺🇸
I do need to consult with someone on my situation.

You get an automatic increase every year in January called COLA (cost of living adjustment). It's automatic. You don't need to apply for it.
