But then I'd be screwed up for months. But i also have Anxiety issues. I cant go ask for help or ssi Because I will have a panic attack before I get there. I cant Afford to go to the doctor to have a record of my issues. Because even though I have well care The hospital signed me up for when I had a major surgery. They still send you a bill. Even though it redected. I live in a tool shed no water no Electricity. Im screwed. Luckily my couple of acres are paid for . If i did get the 1,600 a month For my age group. And was renting. I would still be homeless. But even with Owning the land. Water, electric,groceries, Insurance, Property tax. It would be tight and I would be sitting hear waiting to die. It would just take a little longer. It is what it is. Ive had some good times ✌️👋
I finally got approved for my disability November 3rd,2024. I had to get different lawyers to represent me. It feels good to finally have an income coming in.

Best of luck! If you aren’t old enough and haven’t paid into the system long enough, you will be always be denied. There are other programs available. SSDI will only pay for those who paid into the system. That is the dirty secret the lawyers never say.
@@Thecruisingrancher that's not true. SSI is for those that haven't paid into the system to get SSDI. So yes you still can get SSI if you dont have enough work credits to get SSDI.

The system is rigged. I’ve been paying into Social Security for 37 years. I was forced to retire from job of 21 years, because they were no longer willing to accommodate my physical limitations. I’ve been unable to get work in the mainstream work-world, cause now I’m considered a liability if they hire me. I applied, but was denied ssdi. I appealed. Sent in copies of my MRIs that support my claim, but after almost 3 yrs of battle with them, I was still denied.😡😡

I was approved at 29 years old. I did have to make a appeal on my own though. I received ssdi for intracranial brain hemorrhage, 3 strokes , and I have degenerative disk disease. I worked from 15 years old then at 16 full time work until my health issues at 29. I worked in a food distribution warehouse while this all happened.

Im 48 with multiple medical conditions. Stage 3 Rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis . Degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis. 2 back and 1 neck surgeries. Cervical disc replacement, discectomy and laminectomy. I also have 2 years of consistent medical evidence stating Im losing the ability to walk and use both my hands. I have a letter from my Rheumatologist stating this and notes from my physical therapist saying the same thing. I also have nerve damage in my hands legs and feet .I have been in the reconsideration stage for 3 months and its still stuck on stage 3. Hasn't moved. Hopefully i hear something soon. I can't take much more of this. I have no idea how they can say i can work. But, im not holding my breath.

I have been watching your videos and finally found this one! Thank you s much for taking the time to make this for us, that means so much to all of us. I am 29 and currently am 8+ months in on my Reconsideration appeal after being denied and currently awaiting a decision. I just got a new adjudicator actually, so I think the rumor that they are retraining adjudicators and are hiring new ones is true. I can't communicate well and it takes me a while to explain things with my memory difficulties and speech from repetitive frontal lobe damage and I have too many physical disabilities to prevent me from doing any physical work. Before my TBI's I was perfectly healthy but almost a decade later I am struggling to live with literally 60+ different diagnosis. Your body goes crazy when your brain is impacted hard enough. By the time hearing comes along, I may not be here as I first applied in January of 2021. Things are getting worse at an alarming rate. My mental health is non-existent anymore and the irony is that I will continue to get worse because I can't afford my treatments on top of it all such as HGH injections for my HGH deficiency from pituitary gland damage. I wanted to take the time to write this because your videos keep me mentally sane through this whole process!

I've been in federal prison for last 10 yrs. We had ssa person come to prison and saw me trying to get across yard and told me to apply 1 year from release. I was given a compassionate release and filed asap

I have a question and a comment!! I receve SS disabled that started about 5.50 years ago!! I would have been 60 at that time. My process took only 7 mths for the approval!! I receive just 1032.00 a moth. I have thought of some kind of setting work.....but on all SS forms it says i can only earn 1555.00 !! Does this or does it not include the 1032.00?? So does this mean my work income could be only 523.00 a month to total that 1555.00 figure or can i make the additional 1555.00 on top of my SS check?? Thanks 😅

I'm in my 35th year of full time employment.. no breaks. I had a total back fusion in 1988. The first ten years or so wasn't terrible if I was careful. Now, every month feels like another year. I'll be 55 in a few months. I seriously doubt I can go ten more years.

Hello..in 2003 I was diagnosed with copd and was denied. So I try to go back to work and couldn't hold a job over many years..Then in June 2019 I was in a horrible accident. I file again .denied 3 times because of not enough medical..missouri medcaded finally approved medical...now I have all the medical proof..4 days ago..I was diagnosed a second time for copd with stage 3 emphysema..and I'm now age 50...what will happen. I reapply 2 months ago.for ssdi and ssi..I have 40 work credits...how far back are they gonna go.please help.

I just created a membership and I need your help. I'm 59 and I'm a 100% disabled US Army veteran. I was a paratrooper and in the Army a long time, and I had a devastating injury to my back from an airborne jump that required major back surgery. I can't work due to my disabled status and my back and I haven't worked in 14 years now. I've got my full 40 credits in my social security account and I really need SSDI but I don't know if I'm eligible because it's been over 10 years since I've worked, but my disability status started 6 full years before I had to stop working and I was told since my disability status started well before I had to stop working, I would be able to apply and they wouldn't kick it back ineligible because of that 10 year rule. I really need some clarity so I can apply if my circumstances make me eligible. Please help

The thing that's a Shame of it. Is that so many people abuse this system so the people that actually very much needed can't get it. Also not to mention you need someone else to approve you. So that means if they can understand your issue and if they can relate you're very likely to get approved. That means if I'm 50 years old and if I say that my back hurts the judge would likely say approved. Because being old and your back hurting isn't good 🙄. But if you're in your thirties and you have a severe mental illness. Your going to get told to Get F ed.
It's very sad but it's true. It's the same thing how people that are a drug or alcohol abuses get all the help they need in life and Society. But the people that went to rehab that's veteran or a person with a mental illness.
What does full monthly social security disability benifits $21.90 mean
During my hearing the vocation person only had jobs for the first two scenarios the judge asked about but zero jobs for the last three. Also, my lawyer asked if I needed extra breaks and extra days off would there be jobs and the answer was no. My question is can the judge still not approve based on the first two questions? I’m 53 and worked for the same company for 21 years before becoming ill.

How can someone make money to live on at those jobs?
My name is Frank, I am going up before a judge. I have problems with my ankles and knees. I can't do stairs, ladders. I can't kneel down. Pick things off the floor. So I can't get on the floor. So if I fall I can't get up. I am in a lot of pain. I have this problem since 2014.I have hardly seen a doctor in my life. I am a vet.
I have a had a very high tolerance to pain. I am going to be 61. That high tolerance is no longer there.
I know I will have no chance of getting disability. Because I hardly ever seen a doctor. I hardly take it anymore. What can I do.
Hard to say, but having gone to the drs you are a vet so you have the va any medical records dating back at least 6 months would help greatly in your case though. Just be honest and truthful about yourself and your condition to the judge and it can go a long way.

@@TheDisabilityDigest so I mean, I’m still young I definitely can work but because of my syndrome…I have flareups at random times which causes my joints to swell up significantly to the point that I’m in-mobile in which will prevent me from working so it’s not like I can say that I can work 24/7. I’ve been working since 18 but everything I do is hands-on, I’ve been a in person salesman, most of my working career.

you only need about 1600 dollars in earned income for a credit. Get a job for a little while and get those 40 credits. Do not apply for regular SS at age 62..you take a 30% loss if before 67. Apply for SSDI and will get full pay as if you waited till age 67. If disabled I mean but good luck.

Based on my experience a lot would depend on what the xrays showed and the type of work you have done in the past 15 years.
My eye site is -10.75 and its becoming each year to see i wear glasses but the prescription is so high it makes it difficult to see things in a normal way when i wear them would i qualify for a check

I am receiving SSDI, can I work as a Contract worker receiving W2 form. Will this affect my disability.
For 2023 you can earn $1,050 a month and keep your Social Security Disability benefits. The $1,050 is gross if you are a W-2 employee or net after expenses if you are self-employed filing 1099.

They are both calculated by lifetime earnings so most see no change at all when it converts to retirement. At 64 I would stop killing myself and get the medical stuff started. I also understand working brings in more money but if he can't work or is killing himself...there won't be a difference in his benefits.
I just learned that you lose 30% of your benefits if under 67 and get regular SS. That's crazy... definitely apply for SSDI because they pay full retirement benefits...He will be dead before 67, lol kidding but yeah...30%...what a bunch of shit.

What they are telling you is you need more work credits and are not found disabled.

Hi Marsha, I'm sorry. Check your social security statement to find out how much work credits you will need to be qualified and if possible try to work on it
That's wrong. under social secruity stage 4 cancer is not only automatically approved but its fast tracked. Meaning you dont have to go through the normal approval process. Regardless of credits, it doesnt matter. All credits do will determine if you will be on SSI or SSDI. So Whoever told you that gave you the wrong info.
@@SteelRhinoXpress The poster said they were approved under SSI and denied under SSDI due to no work credits. That sounds right. Also having cancer is not an automatic approval, there are other requirements under listings 13. However, if you were found to meet any listing, then yes you would receive an expedited approval.

I was fired from pizza hut. I let my boss know i had a disability i was doing good for 5 months learned to be comfortable with people. Rude customer had to go in the back and calm down anyways my first job i had. 18y old now... i have a diffrent way of proccesing things hard time explaining. Im autistic and have ashburgers. Always had problems with school and cops and places because of anger and manic episodes and things i said towards people but ive been on SSDI ever since i was like 12 and ever since i turned 18 its been such a painful procces for my mom to go through this paper work for me. Anyways i sighned up and now its been 8 months and still nothing barley suriving and food.

I’m 42 and I’ve been diagnosed with ptsd from childhood trauma and contamination ocd and I have a deep seeded fear of being contaminated and it makes it hard to come in close contact with people and I have to always have access to soap and water because I have to wash my hands 😩 I wash them about 50 times a day. @@TheDisabilityDigest thanks for responding, I started seeing a psychiatrist from 2021-2022 but I stopped because I was having some problems with my thyroid and my iron but I have recently started back going for the past couple of months and they have me taking 3 different medications, I don’t remember all of the names but one of them is called abilify. I definitely need help with the paperwork and consultation because I have trouble staying focused and my short term memory has declined in the last few years.
Ive recently applied for SSDI. I served 20+ years in the Army and was medically forced out(medically retired) due to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. My last year in the Army I was unable to perform my job and was told to stay home due to my MS symptoms. I tried to work after my retirement however, I haven't been able to hold down a job due to my MS....I also have TBI and PTSD which doesn't go well with MS. I fell down and broke my hip at my brother's house. I applied for disability and got it within 3 months. I don't understand why some people have to get lawyers. I just answered the questions honestly and they made an appointment for me to see their doctor. I went he gave me an exam and I was approved shortly after. They even back paid me from the day I fell and broke my hip .They called me and did an interview over the phone. I believe it was rather easy. The main thing is to always answer the same way to all the questions.

Any ALJ using age as a factor is breaking the rules of ssdi benefits. The age requirements for benefits was eliminated in 1960. By "eliminated" that means it can no longer legitimately be a factor. Eliminated was literally the term used in the provision. It isn't a term that makes it discretionary or conditional. Eliminated means gone and therefore not present. There is no grey area there. Anyone who claims otherwise is not following the rules. Which is of course no surprise in this era
