You no longer need to dream about this car because BMW will be releasing an AWD M3 shortly. Which will basically have the GTR level of performance with the german quality you are used to. An AWD M3 would compliment your Supra real well.

I own a 2017 gtr in orange with the peanut butter color inside. First off the name GTR carries more volume than a modern Supra. Secondly if you drive a fbo gtr like mine with all supporting mods, it literally will put a smile and leave a wow factor lasting expression. The GTR clunks on the older version has been addressed in the later models. The way you feel about the 2016 GTR is honest and I felt the same way when going for a ride in my tuners Plaid. When asked will I ever sell my car. The answer is no. I love everything about the built quality sound power comfort style and history of the GTR.
My dad has a 2020 gtr premium and quality over is much better than older gen. One thing about the gtr is how you feel and hear everything thats going on with the car mechanical wise. 2017+ facelift to me is the way to go . I definitely recommend driving a newer for sure!
The thing with GTRs is that it was a car that you can hop in, and compete with some supercars on the street for a fraction of price. Those cut costs are made obvious in the interior, but it has always been that way since it's inception, because that is how the GTR is made relatively affordable. These GTRs do not age well at all because of that fact, and interior amenities that were expensive then are cheaper now. That steering wheel and dash are horrible for today's standards, because they weren't really that great then.
Makes sense to me. A car is a package deal for me. Competing with supercars while sacrificing quality yet still costing 80-90k doesn’t do it for me personally.
Having driven both, (a friend's GTR and a A90 at the dealer) The Supra is miles ahead if you want something to drive on the street. The GTR is always clunky and feels out of place if you drive normally. Where you will see it shine is on the track or going through some twisty mountain roads. With the traction and the precision of the AWD system, you are able to be on throttle super early. Take an early apex, squeeze on the throttle and it will rotate the car for you while accelerating, you'll exit the corner at a much higher speed than when you entered - something no RWD car can do and other AWD cars will understeer. The stiff suspension, brutal power delivery and the hard shifting transmission, that's when it all makes sense - the GTR is a race car that you can drive on the street.
Have you actually driven them on a track? I’ll tell you this I was super disappointed with the gtr, it’s really heavy it’s very nose heavy I almost spun it out by braking too quickly (aparently that’s an awd or gtr thing) where I effortlessly ran better times with both a c7 corvette and a c8. Straight line performance gtr is king but it’s handling leaves something to be desired, I could stand on the brakes in a c8 or c7 corvette or in my c6z06 but the gtr would get sideways if you braked too quickly. Very odd
@@ngnewb4541 It sounds like you drove a GTR that was modified or has something wrong with the brakes. That is not normal and should not happen on any modern car, let alone a GTR. You can't really compare with a Corvette. You have to drive it differently,. On RWD, need to balance throttle input with steering angle and manage traction as it can spin easily if you get on the throttle too early or too much. On a GTR, you toss the car in, early apex and floor it. The computers sort it out for you. And yes, it is a big heavy car, there's no escaping that. It isn't everyone's taste but it is hilariously fun when you're completely sideways while slingshotting out of corners.
Performance aside-I say that because I think the performance is great-my biggest issue with the R35 platform is the interior quality. When they initially debuted in the US all of the Nissan plastics were excusable compared to price and the list of cars beaten by the R35. At current asking prices, new, used, and prior to COVID tax; the interior and ride quality are completely unacceptable.
I dont think ive ever been more excited for a youtuber to get a new car i dont even care what it is😂you’re just a good dude its cool to see you having fun
I own R35 GTR and yes it's a 2009 :) I paid low 40s for it :) Second owner, fully stock and I think I hit a Jackpot here. before prices went through the roof. I prefer GT-R because IT has some kind of back seats where our 10 year old can still fit ! and huge trunk for groceries, it's not my daily but I drive it almost everyday I live in Chicago- weather here can suck, rain, snow, etc... I had F82 M4 before and 911 turbo , older model 2003. - AND i will never ever buy RWD car. why? because you can't really put power down. my F82 m4 had extra 100hp over stock. Sure it was more nicer inside tons of different features etc.... first gear was totally useless and 2nd ! Car wouldn't hook, yes I had good tires on it - I can't run slicks because IT would suck in rain. my 911 turbo was sitting most of the time in the garage catching dust, It was small- and no room for groceries. less reliable- Now, people pay 70k 80k for 2013+ GTR and I wonder why IF you decide to mod it heavy, what's the point. Now 2017 it's way nicer but again 100k+ :) I Would rather buy RS6 Avant for that money and New! :) now you compare murdered out supra to a stock GTR :) do FBO to that GT-R and the car wake's up, slap suspencion, nice wheels some exterior and it looks really good! just like R34 in stock form, it' doesn't look that good!
The gtr was good when the price was acceptable for its quality which was less than 70-80k brand new. Over 100k for 2017+ is way too much and used is crazy and there are nicer options.. I respect the gtr but not these prices and have an r34 gts ... Plus for me rwd>awd
I always had owned GT-Rs from the skylines to now r35. These are track weapons and made with one thing in mind, lap times. Being able to achieve that with lower price they have to cut corners. If you want a nice interior, Mercedes is what you need. Supras are not as special as GT-R's and there heritage. They are fun rwd cars but can't keep up with GT-R handeling and out of corner acceleration. You start to appreciate a GT-R when you drive it fast through corners and let it oversteer. But not many people are able to drive like that.
From 2017 onward the paddle shifters on R35 GT-R's were relocated to the steering wheel as opposed to the column. The 2017+ have vastly higher quality interiors, you should also try a drive a Nismo Edition.
this is my biggest thing, R35 or Supra. Brand new supra/ car for about 60k MAX out the door, compared to R35 which I would save more and get nothing lower than a 2017 model, but still are both so good looking cars and have SO much potential.
I got to take one on the Napa back roads for about 3hrs. The inside reminded me of my old G37S coupe but the performance is insane. I think if you had the experience that I had then you would probably like it a lot more
Also I think the spec of the GTR got you down. A different color, 2017, etc I bet would have had a more emotional connection with you. You gotta LOVE it to justify the cost. That spec is too baseline
Great video. I was considering selling my GTR for a Supra and after you're videoim definitely KEEPING my GTR. I think you should def test drive a 2017. Much more refined and luxurious vs 2016. All the things you liked about the Supra you'll have in the GTR (except price and looks which are subjective). The main advantage over a Supra for ME is the AWD for all year round driving, 4 seats, and a trunk. I had driven all RWD cars prior to my Maserati Ghibli and it's hard to go back after having AWD in these higher end cars. Cheers and look forward to more of your vids!
I almost bought an r35 and traded my Supra, but drove one and agree just not worth the cost. Instead I decided to fully build my Supra with PI, Meth, Pure800, upgraded LPFP, she hauls ass. I beat by buddies FBO gtr by a few car lengths from a 30 roll, and a 40 roll. Even from a dig I think I'll take him, cars putting put right around 700 to the wheels.
I've driven both and and Supra blew me away way more. The GTR didn't feel significantly faster than the Supra and as you said it felt twice as big around corners and just in general. The Supra felt way more nimble and just more fun to drive in general. Your reaction to the GTR was spot on imo.
I have a 2021 Supra and i have a 2019 gtr. You need to drive a newer one with low miles. The quality got a lot better in 2017 I think it would make you feel better about it. Hope this helps.
Big fan of the channel dude keep it up! I had a 12’ R35 and it was a dream come true. After some time was finding it hard to daily where I live and was starting to have issues. Jumped into a 2020 Supra and LOVED it! Felt great, new and was so easy to use daily. Recently sold the Supra and jumped into a 19’ R35 😅. Different cars both great. ✌️
@@ThicWhips 19’ definitely better in terms of refinement and comfort and quality compared to the older gens. Definitely check out a newer one. Curious to see your reaction on a 17+ R35 to the one in this video. 👍
You need to compare it to a 2018 vs your Zupr4 if you are trying to get some sort of luxury feeling. This car is heavily invested in handling and acceleration technology.
Hey first time on the channel. I'm in the same boat dude but I'm in Australia 🇦🇺. 32/33 yrs old, great job, currently love my golf r wagon which is wicked but really entertaining the idea of a 2010/11 GTR, V10 R8 or an RS6. End goal is a McLaren before I'm too old to enjoy it.
At 23, I’m super fortunate to own a 22 GR Supra, and I’m madly in love with it. I’ve never been behind the wheel of a GTR but I do respect the make. It’s just personally not appealing to me. Your review on it was really spot on. As far as interior quality I’d say the same. It’s like a really expensive less modern infinity.
I love this video It's hard to leave BMW, I moved from BMW to Mercedes and the cheap interior plastic for the 2014 Mercedes C class coupe, done my head in so I went back to BMW
@@EliTheBMXER to be honest, the older AMGs were beastly however the newer ones are just flashy! Nothing at all appealing towards it anymore, they don't even sound good. Mainly your social media influencers or celebs that know nothing about cars own them these days
@@EliTheBMXER I mean, I think AMG stuff is mostly cool but it does look a little young/immature on the inside, IMO. That's not necc a bad thing if thats what youre into, but I prefer refined and subtle... fuck I must be getting old.
My 2011 3 series BMW has all the quality and luxury I want, as well as the gas mileage. But guess which one I want to drive everyday… my GT-R. Something about how raw and rowdy it is. I deal with the Altima interior. When you buy one you fall in love with the strengths and accept it’s flaws as personality.
I agree with you. I own a Supra too and got into an older GTR. I was underwhelmed. Good thing I bought my Supra instead but I would want to pick up a newer GTR.
I agree entirely with your opinions in this video. The problem is that the GTR is way over valued in terms of actual cost for a used GTR with 60k miles and poor quality overall… I’m coming from a modified f12 m6 and I was disappointed stepping out of the m6 and directly into the GTR for a test drive. I wanted to love it but maybe my expectations were to high. Thanks for the validation!
I found that the fun in a GTR is on a twisty road, seeing how quickly you can get on the power, it's explosive coming out of corners. In a straight line it's fast but gets old if you're used to high power RWD cars because it's AWD and DCT systems make it feel less dramatic, it kinda just goes and you're along for the ride.
14:44 modded vs stock says it all My experience is standard cars are always disappointing compared to modded ones! Also in Australia 2007 R35 is 115k vs 200k for a 2015 GT4 but A new Supra is 100k👍
owned a DBA 2014 gtr for 3 years as a daily driver, not trying to put down the supra but stock for stock u wont get it from a roll, seen boosted twin turbo 370z lose to GTR on a roll with same power, this car just puts down everything with the transmission mounted on the back you can watch bros4speed he owned a gtr and a supra. reason why i say you wont get it from the roll, is because i had a supra for 2 weeks and tried the similar tight turns and floor it but it gets too tail happy and wont put it down, even tail whips going straight foot to floor. With the GTR i get none of that, its like "i got you if u want to make that tight turn" it just does it. I think you like the supra more cause its feels more dramatic where you kind of have to watch yourself and feels like a weapon which makes it fun, wheras the GTR just takes it to the next level where what a regular rwd would do just feels normal, it wants you to be more confident and go beyond that if you actually push it. btw you can shift to red line in manual mode and it will auto shift at 7k, if you arent in R mode on the transmission, seems like ur shifting too soon
I would choose a GTR, BUT not for its current “covid tax” price point. It would need to return to pre-covid prices for me to jump on one. Not because I can’t afford it, but I just can’t justify overpaying. Current asking prices are not worth what they’re asking.
Great video. Well I have always wanted a supra and got one end of Nov. 23 manual limited. So it's great to see you compare them and that the supra is up there
I went from 400-500whp integras, rsxs to first gen US sti (blob/hawkeye) then straight to GTR with fbos and tune making close to 600 whp. Man i love it even thouth i dont like auto or paddle shifting. I know it isnt fancy fancy. But its a casual supercar. And your still in 2009 gen basicly with that car. Which goes to 2016 this one where 2017 they really stepped it up compared to the 2009 to 11 changes to the one your in now was just a better trans, screen, couple changes to the front bumper and side and rear lips with vents is it. The supra is a new age car for the 2020s. That gtr is made for the 2010s. Will always take AWD over RWD. Especially when can make more power too. If you want to go with something AWD and same performance thats fancier. Try the NSX they brought back. But since it was made years before the supra it may not be as fancy as you expect either. But i know its fancier than the gtr. But performs and drives pretty much the same as a GTR.
Test drove the gtr, couldnt fit it up my steep driveway. Tried to buy a 991.2 s 911 also didnt fit up my driveway ended up with a new 21 3.0 premium supra. Porsche is better in every way (aside from cost), gtr felt kinda cheap inside, especially for the price. Porsche feels the best on road with the rear engine. That said supra was still lots of fun easily the cheapest and not slow by any means. For the money it was hard to say the porsche was worth the extra 50k over the supra. Both are very fun but I also felt we would be less worried about the supra more and enjoy it more cause its a bmw and not a porsche. Also it was in yellow and I love yellow. I would say the Gtr not a great daily vs the supra is good for daily in decent weather. Porsche also great for daily. You get way more attention in the supra than you do the other cars. That was the thing that made my wife love the supra the most.
A 40 roll that thing would smoke a Supra if you had tune and anti lag…. I got you it falls short interior wise but it’s levels above the Supra. To be fair I want a Supra still but I know it won’t ever come close to what my 35 is right now. You can’t have it all in one car where’s the fun in that😂
@@Bluecobra0260 I own both and completely agreed. Most mustang owners get the loudest exhaust they can put it and the sound doesn't seem to match the speed. I have a 93 Fox body that runs low 11s @122 in the 1/4 and is quieter than most 14 sec mustangs driving around. It's embarrassing to he honest. My bone stock Supra would stomp most of those.
With range of cars out and soon to be out, the only reason to pick up a GTR is to send to Alpha for one of their 1000hp+ builds. Just wait for M3/4 comp xdrive coming this summer. Sure PURE already has goodies on the way for S58, if it's not already out.
Around my area the going rate on 2015 GTRs are about 70k with 35k miles. 2007 911 turbos are about 90k with 40k miles. I hate to say it but GTRs are a great bang for buck for awd turbo cars. It's always been that way. Nissan has never been know for their quality but they just make it perform amazing. Kinda of like the Evo philosophy, all performance weak quality. I thought too about looking into a 911 turbo but GTRs out price them
You know you can replace all that cheap silver plastic with carbon fibre replacements? Or do what I did with mine and just sand and respray them properly. I honestly prefer the interior of my 09 R35 over the 43 AMG I traded it for.
Yes, (if you speaking about the R35 compared to the new supra.) I think it's because the R35 has been around for over 10 years with little interior change compared to a car that just came out a little over a year ago and all the hype that it's getting. People tend to downplay the older things. Like a kid that wants a toy and gets it. Then after a few days the kid is no longer that interested and wants the newest toy seen on TV. If you park these two cars in a lot with a ton of people around they would mostly be looking at the newest car only because it has a fresh hype to it. But make no mistake. The R35 has more to offer in the trill and the pantie dropper categories.
@@itsjustnopinionok well I have an R32 and it's built and rides like a tank. Solid. But this guy is comparing a new, MODDED model to an older standard one. He's complaining about size and weight but at high speeds you can't compare. My 370z is sketchy at high-speed compared to my R32. R35 is even better. We've driven Supras, it's small and feels faster because of the size.
I own a modified (P800, Down pipe, software, decat pipes, flex fuel) and drove a black edition with similar and full HKS mods. The Supra kicked it’s ass in every arena. Like you I always wanted an R35 but it just does not come close, both heavily modded. But I have to say I would buy an R34
I have owned both cars , Gtr is amazing power wise but the Supra is way more exciting to drive . Yes the Gtr can make a lot of power but the stock motor will only handle 700hp
Are the newer ones that much nicer? The 2000 teens I thought were pretty plasticky for the price, but I haven't seen the newer ones yet (except m340i which was okay).
TBH I thought the Supra's BMW interior looked dated/mediocre from pics and reviews until I got in one... totally changed my mind. Also, never drove a BMW before the Supra for that matter.
Thing I like about GTR is they actually keep their value so you don't lose much, I have seen 2009 sells for over 60k...at least in my country they do keep. Edit: I do love the GTR but it's big investment so I purchased GTR little brother which is 370z 😁
I have 2020 GTR 50th anniversary and the quality of the Interior and all overall it’s completely different and super high-quality. I have driven The supra and it’s completely different car .
I think to me, I just think about what a difference that $30-40k makes. The Bupra already has the interior and luxury, and if you had that $30-40k to throw into the performance and get them price matched, it wouldn’t even be a competition; the GTR wouldn’t stand a prayer. Just being real, I really like how the GTR is built with the AWD (that’s what I really like about it over the Bupra), but paying that much more and honestly not getting that much more out of it…. The GTR honestly just doesn’t really do it for me. Not to mention (and this is 100% personal opinion) I really like the way the Supra sounds over the GTR. The GTR is a nasty car, don’t get me wrong, and anyone would be lucky to have one, but I think BMW and Toyota really just hit a grand slam with their car and for the price, Nissan just can’t compare.
Thats the thing, GTR's have been around for a long time. Nissan really needs to do a refresh ASAP even on their newer models. For 100k+ you can get the g80 which is probably alot faster plus you get the carbon buckets seats and nice interior. Dont get me wrong that used to be one of my dream car when i was younger like you mentioned but with todays market you can get other cars that have better quality. The nismo version is pretty much over priced.
When I was on the market for a new toy I drove both the mk5 Supra and 2016 GTR, visceral feel on the GTR isn’t there, the Supra has more connection with the driver. I was also disappointed by the GTR and it made me think a lot about the Ariel Atom instead. However, I decided to buy a 2021 Ducati Panigale V4R because the visceral experience of a hyperbike is unmatched.
Big difference with rattles is due to the transmission layout. Supra uses an auto, GTR has the loudest clutch packs ever. GTR also has the trans mounted in the rear. Power wise the GTR kills the Supra easy. I had a stock unmodified Supra and GTR on the dyno the same day, and the GTR made 200whp more than the Supra. The one thing that is different big time is a mountain trip. The GTR will be almost impossible to keep up with, where the supra will have a bunch of fun hooning and drifting corners. One thing I can comment on is that owning a GTR is a dude magnet and Girl repellant. Owning a Porsche 911 Turbo or GT car is where its at. Interior quality is top notch, it's much quicker, and it attracts the opposite sex.
I own an upgraded turbo R35 a 2010 with a built trans. I have driven a 2020 supra. For me... I do like both but I think it depends what you are looking for. For me, the interior quality wasn't something that really bothers me (I daily an evo X) so for me I chose an R35 over a supra or an R8. The kit that mine is on makes 800 stock motor on E85 with the tq limited to low 600s on dynojet. They are fun but I agree not for everyone..but def for me!!!
Only thing I will miss is the VHR platform having 7500 rpm is pretty fun, but the interior colors for 400z is very interesting, saw spyshot of blue interior in 400z and hope they add more colors it will be good move.
I’ve driven a couple R35s even been in a modded gtr which was insane fast but I still love the Supra more feels way better to me only thing r35 has is awd but Rwd is more fun to me #supra gang
I haven't been in a supra yet, but I've street and track driven a gtr (2020) and I was waiting for the moment you were gunna comment on the weight bc man you can really feel it in this car haha. But after sitting in a supra and doing some revs it seems a lot more responsive and the quality is better. Overall I think the supra is a better car bc of less weight, quality, more modern. Hope to get a supra of my own very soon!
But I do want to add that the gtr is clunky going street speed but when I had it on the track it came alive. And then I could see why it was built the way it was, felt so solid and good going 140mph.
Dude i owned one of these for 6 months. The quality of nissan has a lot to be desired. I like you always wanted one. It was kinda like finding out that super hot chick you always liked has a vd. I replcaced mine with a zl1 1le eventuality. Looking at getting a import again probably going new bwm supra.
I have a fbo r35 drove the Supra stock didn’t do it for me and is wayyy too small but I had an fbo85 m4 before that and the fit and finish was 100x better also the driving experience was better in the m4 as well gtr is just a rocket ship that turns heads everywhere
older GT-R are definitely more "raw" than the MY17s ...Nissan soften the suspension and had more Noise canceling materials in the interior in the newer ones Supra is a sportcar for the street, GT-R is Racecar for the Street
R35 IS NOT A SKYLINE*** pardon my word vomit. I have been corrected! Anyways, next cars being driven: Porsche GT4 as well as GT3. 😤🤙🏽

My nephew just bought a new Supra, I drove it and was actually surprised how hard it hits when you stomp it from 30 mph. It really jumps.
We value an honest review, I feel what you say
Thanks
The gtr was good when the price was acceptable for its quality which was less than 70-80k brand new.
Over 100k for 2017+ is way too much and used is crazy and there are nicer options.. I respect the gtr but not these prices and have an r34 gts ...
Plus for me rwd>awd
If you adjust for inflation, a 2009 GTR would cost about $120,000 in today's dollars, thank Biden!
GTR=👑.
Supra compares more to the new 400z. GTR is in a different league.
Pretty much same price bracket these days and bpu on supra gets you more hp than GTR. I say these days they are in the same league.
Same league for sure these days
From 2017 onward the paddle shifters on R35 GT-R's were relocated to the steering wheel as opposed to the column. The 2017+ have vastly higher quality interiors, you should also try a drive a Nismo Edition.
100k plus car? I’m going Porsche if we are talking 6 figures. My take
this is my biggest thing, R35 or Supra.
Cheers and look forward to more of your vids!
exactly. soon as he said 2016 I knew he was going to be underwhelmed lol
Rwd > awd
I guess Bupra will be sticking around a little longer. 👍
Go for the GT4! They're amazing cars, and the 2016's are similar price range to the GTR's and much better quality - AND MANUAL!
I agree whole heartedly, really looking forward to driving one!
I believe the 2017 or 2018 and up GTR's have the paddle shifters on the steering wheel!
Awesome ride the GTR. Nissan gives it such a horrible interior. For the price it should be a lot nicer.
Creeping up on 100k! Damn I remember when you had around 10k
Started from the bottom 😤👊🏽
2017+ has a completely different dash, console and steering wheel.
2017+ also has the paddles mounted to the steering wheel like you reference lol
Interesting, I’ll drive one
I almost bought an r35 and traded my Supra, but drove one and agree just not worth the cost. Instead I decided to fully build my Supra with PI, Meth, Pure800, upgraded LPFP, she hauls ass. I beat by buddies FBO gtr by a few car lengths from a 30 roll, and a 40 roll. Even from a dig I think I'll take him, cars putting put right around 700 to the wheels.
Yeah man, the Supra in my opinion is an all around much better package. Gtr is neat, just not worth the cost. Quality is lacking
That’s what I was thinking bro
This will be next! Thank you for your insight, I needed to hear that
Have you had any oil consumption issues?
@@ThicWhips yeah man love the content. Hope you get one it’s a dream come true for me.
@@Throttle.Monkey so mine was new when i bought it and it only has 5k miles on it and I service it well and don’t have any issues with mine.
I think what you’re also feeling is the difference between $70k in a BMW vs $70k in JDM. Euro quality for sport and luxury is pretty top notch.
Nothing but the truth here
Big fan of the channel dude keep it up! ✌️
Interesting!!! So the 19 r35 as far as quality, it’s ok for you?
@@ThicWhips 19’ definitely better in terms of refinement and comfort and quality compared to the older gens. Definitely check out a newer one. Curious to see your reaction on a 17+ R35 to the one in this video. 👍
Yeah I’ll have to give that a shot, thanks for your insight!
@@ThicWhips anytime! Looking forward to the next one! Stay safe! ✌️
GTR are cool but cost so much to maintain and modify compared to a new Supra
Glorified Altima.
I love this video
It's hard to leave BMW, I moved from BMW to Mercedes and the cheap interior plastic for the 2014 Mercedes C class coupe, done my head in so I went back to BMW
Lol mercedes is ass
@@EliTheBMXER to be honest, the older AMGs were beastly however the newer ones are just flashy! Nothing at all appealing towards it anymore, they don't even sound good. Mainly your social media influencers or celebs that know nothing about cars own them these days
@@EliTheBMXER I mean, I think AMG stuff is mostly cool but it does look a little young/immature on the inside, IMO. That's not necc a bad thing if thats what youre into, but I prefer refined and subtle... fuck I must be getting old.
I've never seen someone so underwhelmed by an R35 before. I have a 2014 and love it every time I drive it!
Never meet your idols I guess 😂
14:44 modded vs stock says it all
My experience is standard cars are always disappointing compared to modded ones! Also in Australia 2007 R35 is 115k vs 200k for a 2015 GT4 but
A new Supra is 100k👍
Good video Jon! You should do more reviews like this, you’re a natural.
I’ve drove a 50th anniversary GTR and I just got a Supra myself, even tho the gtr is faster, the Supra just feels so much more better
Thanks for the insight!
@@ThicWhips gtr is a racing nissan full on sports car not the best for daily-ing or luxury. supra is a luxury sports car pretty much better daily
owned a DBA 2014 gtr for 3 years as a daily driver, not trying to put down the supra but stock for stock u wont get it from a roll, seen boosted twin turbo 370z lose to GTR on a roll with same power, this car just puts down everything with the transmission mounted on the back you can watch bros4speed he owned a gtr and a supra.
reason why i say you wont get it from the roll, is because i had a supra for 2 weeks and tried the similar tight turns and floor it but it gets too tail happy and wont put it down, even tail whips going straight foot to floor.
Watch Bros four speed man,he has both the gtr and modded supra
Porsche beats R35 in every way. P is high quality car, R35 is not. In colder conditions R35 rattles soooooo much. If you can afford take Porsche!
Can’t wait to drive it
Great video. Well I have always wanted a supra and got one end of Nov. 23 manual limited. So it's great to see you compare them and that the supra is up there
SUPRA TOP SPEED 155MPH
GTR TOP SPEED 190MPH
“Mustang doing Mustang things, not going anywhere” PMSL 😂
Thanks for the honest review. I've always wondered how it is to drive a GTR especially after owning a RS3. I'm afraid i might be disappointed.
I love the honest review...
of the mustang LOL
I definitely would take the Supra. The Supra just looks way better for half the cost.
For the GTR looks way better.
The Supra look girlish.
What you want is the 17+ Gtr 👌
A 40 roll that thing would smoke a Supra if you had tune and anti lag…. I got you it falls short interior wise but it’s levels above the Supra. To be fair I want a Supra still but I know it won’t ever come close to what my 35 is right now. You can’t have it all in one car where’s the fun in that😂
Try a full bolt on , on E85 .. Completely different car
Mustang doing mustang things being Loud going hardly anywhere.
😬
such a misinformed comment
I have never driven one , but have enjoyed them from a distance forever. I love the ass on the GTR , those iconic rear lights.
I thought too about looking into a 911 turbo but GTRs out price them
I really enjoy your content man, I find it so exciting when I recognize somewhere you go in the vids because we live close by! Keep up the content
Awesome man thank you
hands down the supra is a better looking car by far
You know you can replace all that cheap silver plastic with carbon fibre replacements? Or do what I did with mine and just sand and respray them properly. I honestly prefer the interior of my 09 R35 over the 43 AMG I traded it for.
Love the honest reviews, more people need to authentically compare the hero cars
Need to see you driving a 1500bhp GTR
Comparing stock to mod... Old to new.
GTR stability at high speed is legendary
Fresh kicks has a nismo so the the front looks more different and the nismo is faster. But damn, black is so sick!
I have owned both cars , Gtr is amazing power wise but the Supra is way more exciting to drive . Yes the Gtr can make a lot of power but the stock motor will only handle 700hp
This is how I felt as well
BMW interiors set the bar kind of high (personally)
Facts
Are the newer ones that much nicer? The 2000 teens I thought were pretty plasticky for the price, but I haven't seen the newer ones yet (except m340i which was okay).
@@artemiscool67 I really like the luxury feel. The stitching and leatherwork. Just an overall quality feel imo
GT4 for sure. IMO, probably the best Porsche you can buy for the money right now and hopefully will be my next ride after the Supra.
I agree. Such an incredible car, really excited to drive one
Agreed black cars or any dark paint is extremely hard to maintain
Wait for the new 400Z after its been out for awhile and do your JDM thing on it for us.
I’d love to
Only thing I will miss is the VHR platform having 7500 rpm is pretty fun, but the interior colors for 400z is very interesting, saw spyshot of blue interior in 400z and hope they add more colors it will be good move.
Gotta love Porsches, they retain the value unlike every other cars
Driving Gt4 next
Best cars on earth. Nothing is a better feeling than an air cooled, standard Porsche from years past.
Recently sold my 2017 STI to purchase a 2008 GTR.. best decision I've ever made!
A new G80 X-drive will be a great comparison once released and for a 80-100k I'd still take the M3
Same
I feel like the gtr is just super outdated looking
I'll still take one.
Its not. Its timeless.
Have you considered an amg gt? I believe they are around that price point and seems like something to consider👍
2017 GTR is way better feel by far with interior. I drove a supra and nope it just isn't the same...if you know cars...you know cars
Would be hyped to see u drive a gt4
Next week!
I personally wouldnt mind a Zupr4, R35 and NC1 in my garage.
I have a fbo r35 drove the Supra stock didn’t do it for me and is wayyy too small but I had an fbo85 m4 before that and the fit and finish was 100x better also the driving experience was better in the m4 as well gtr is just a rocket ship that turns heads everywhere
Currently have an e92 m3 and the gtr and I choose to drive the m3 better driving experience IMO, all depends what you want out of the car
Also you should drive one fbo e85 stock gtrs are no fun at all
older GT-R are definitely more "raw" than the MY17s ...Nissan soften the suspension and had more Noise canceling materials in the interior in the newer ones
Supra is a sportcar for the street, GT-R is Racecar for the Street
