    OMG!! So I was literally about to buy Bookkeeper Launch Pro but I decided that I wanted to hear someone’s thoughts on it first, I clicked on your video, used your link to join and I was able to buy it for $500 less than what I was literally seconds away from buying! I dont know really why but THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am soooo so excited to start this journey! 🎉

    As a guy who started a company from scratch and built it to a fairly large company I can tell you that in my early years having a good bookkeeper to prepare info for our CPA was the best thing we I did early on. It gave me more time to focus on getting new clients for my core business service.

    In the first 6 months that you made $14k , had you already quit your job? Was this on the side? Sounds amazing! I am actually a bookkeeper already and have been for some time now but not for small businesses so that makes me a little nervous. Any advice for me if I can actually do this on my own? I’m also not a “sales” person so that makes me nervous too

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I quit cold turkey when I started the business! I def am not a “sales person” either 😉
      Bookkeeper Launch really does such a great job of communicating to you how VALUABLE this job actually is for a small business owner. It’s less convincing owners why they need you (99% of the time, they already know trust me😂) and more so just meeting people!

    Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on this program! It has certainly helped in making my decision! One thing I wanted to ask is, I have some basic QuickBooks online knowledge / training. Does having that experience make this program easier to grasp, etc.? Thanks!

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Absolutely! I went in with no knowledge at ALL about QBO or any other bookkeeping software so you're ahead of the game for sure. My advice would be not to skip any modules though because the course does build on itself. Remember the other pillar is marketing and attracting ideal clients, so that will be super helpful when you're ready to launch! 🚀

    I only have an AA in business administration... would it be viable for me to start a business in this field? Or would you say you really need to have the background of someone with a BA?

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I go over this a little bit in this video here: th-cam.com/video/6Ysxfseww7s/w-d-xo.html
      But the short answer is you don’t need to have a BA or any sort of prerequisite. My background was in high school history education so I literally started at zero, and grew from there. Bookkeeper launch teaches you the bookkeeping AND the marketing side of the biz. 😊

  • @carolb3327
    @carolb3327 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wouldn't I get a better book keeping education at a community college or business school? I never ever thought of book keeping as a possible home business, but I'm looking for a job currently and I do like working by myself. Do you have to be a math genius to be a book keeper? I did not do well in advanced math at school. I can add, subtract, divide ok, but algebra and the more advanced math ( at least to me) applications always confused me. Thanks

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope! There is not a comprehensive program at community colleges or higher education for not only learning bookkeeping and basic accounting BUT ALSO how to start + grow your own business. Everything else is going to have useless prerequisites/other classes that you must take, it will be a much longer process than bookkeeper launch, and it will be MUCH more expensive.
      This is the future of education! Streamlined programs to teach you exactly how to do certain valuable skills in a hands on way. 😊
      You do not need an extensive or advanced math background. It’s addition and subtraction (and knowing how to use the software is actually more valuable than math skills in my opinion because it does a lot for you). let me know if you have any other questions!

    This video was really informative 👍🏼 I have a friend who shared BBL to me and thought we should try it out. She’s a little hesitant because she views herself as an introvert and doesn’t think she is capable of providing confidence to clients as someone with no finance background, but loves the aspect of bookkeeping. Would this be the right fit for someone like her?

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I'm glad it was helpful! I would definitely identify with attributes of an introvert. I think the question should be "Is she open to growing in this area?" I've met a lot of quiet and shy entrepreneurs that thrive because they are willing to grow and step up in their business when they need to. A reserved person who thinks "I'll never be able to be a speaker or command a room, meet new people, or put myself out there on social media" probably won't do very well.
      Here's the good news: a lot of business owners who need bookkeepers are already free spirits, outgoing, pulled in 100 difference directions, and don't want to sit at a computer to look at numbers! They want someone who is Type A, who will be a rock for them, and someone who communicates in a timely and efficient manner.
      If you're introverted or more on the quiet side, you won't have to become someone you're not. BUT you WILL have to have a growth mindset if you want to thrive as an entrepreneur and bookkeeper. Let me know if that is helpful!

      @FinancialCoachJess  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally get that. Before you actually start doing it, it can seem a little overwhelming.
      BUT!! I think you misunderstand one thing: you’re not a salesperson trying to sell something to people that don’t want it. Small businesses are ACTIVELY looking for bookkeepers. Thank you for this informative video. I have a question though. When you market yourself, do you get questioned if you are a certified bookkeeper? Like having a professional certification from American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers or National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers?

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Nope! I personally have never been asked that. However! There is a certification that you can get on Quickbooks online that I recommend. There is also a certification at the end of bookkeeper launch now that you get when you pass the final exams. When I took the course, they didn’t have that certification but I’ve never had anyone question if I’m certified.

    I'm currently in another program and I'm not completely happy with it and I'm researching other options because I'm really motivated to do this. The main problem I'm having is that I'm a hands on learner and I retain things better that way. So my question is, is there any hands on practice in this program? An example would be creating a ledger for a fake client that type of stuff.

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Lacey, I totally get that and I’m the same way. YES this program is very hands on and it walks you through everything verbally and by showing you and then it walks you through you doing it in a shell company in QBO.
      This was really important to me because I would listen to the instructions and get confused when the process was talked about in theory, BUT after I went and did it myself it really all started to come together. In the exams, there’s also a practical part where they test you on going into a shell company and setting them up and doing different things. Great question!

      GREAT questions some of which I answer in this video and my video that drops on Monday will also go into more detail on how to get clients in the beginning👍🏻
      As far as risks go... the costs that you have in the beginning is the initial investment for BL and the cost of forming a sole prop in your state (varies). Some people also purchase a very inexpensive website url and website platform but there are free options out there for this as well.
      All things considered, when it comes to entrepreneurship, this is an extremely LOW RISK way to start a super profitable business.
      ➡️Check out my video titled “How I became a financial coach” for a deep dive into return on investment.
      6k/month is very reasonable. I just did 12k in June (I do offer other services keep in mind) but I had zero knowledge before bookkeeper launch👍🏻 Hope that is helpful! Taken from the bookkeeper launch website: A: Absolutely. Bookkeeping is an international skill which you can apply to any business, in any country. The marketing and business building lessons in BL are applicable so you can literally work from anywhere in the world. When you complete BL you also get a certification of completion, which you can show your clients or potential employers.

    My concern is with so many people wanting to become bookkeepers how do you stand out to clients? Is there a lot of demand for bookkeepers? Isn't there different technology systems out there now that takes over bookkeeping jobs which effects job security? What concerns me is investing in the program only to not be successful enough to earn the money back and more.
    Also, your videos are amazing and thank you so much for sharing your insight!

    • @FinancialCoachJess
      @FinancialCoachJess  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is literally so much demand lol I know it's hard to see this until you start having consultations and see how bad it really is but there are new businesses starting every day and they ALL will need to eventually outsource their bookkeeping (and many of them will need to do it right away😅).
      There is tech out there now but it often makes mistakes and creates an even bigger mess. PLUS the tech cannot truly replace a qualified bookkeeper that can offer guidance on what to do WITH the numbers. Sure, anything can print out a report, but the real value in partnering with high quality bookkeepers is that the info has been verified that it is correct and they can also get guidance on what to do with it! 😊
      I'm also coming out with a Bookkeeper Launch Q&A video this month so keep an eye out for that! It addresses some of these things further.

Would you share your thoughts? 1) I do have a bookkeeping/accounting background but have been out of the field ~15 years. Really want to get back into it. Do you think BBL would be helpful to someone like me wanting to reenter the field as an employee (while starting on my own)? 2) I will be relocating soon (hence working for someone else initially) and am concerned about creating a client base in a new, unknown area. I so badly want to work for myself and do consider myself a good communicator and am told I'm personable, but I am definitely an introvert! I appreciate any input...thanks!

      I wouldn’t worry about relocating. Just make sure you have your time zone on appointment meeting times and office hours or contact times.
